Food was very seasoned and good. I also enjoyed the proportions they gave for the price. One buttered chicken, rice, and naan bread could feed two people. The service was average, the food was rdy when i got there.

Saturday night dinner - we got a spicy chicken appetizer Velluli Karam kodi - This was seriously spicy but we enjoyed it. Chicken Chettinad, onion kulcha and butter naan - all the dishes were flavorful and enjoyable. Ordering is through a QR code and they bring the food out to you. They do not joke about their spice levels, so order accordingly. Prices are reasonable and quantities are sufficient. Service is prompt and courteous. The restaurant got full pretty quickly later in the evening, I think we got lucky being able to walk in on a Saturday evening. We will look forward to returning to try out their other dishes!

Nalli Ghost Mutton Shahi Biryani

One of the best finds in the Fremont area, and went with kids for late lunch and had a great food experience. The chicken malai kabob was pretty good with not much spice and nice for kids as well. The best thing though was the nalli goat biryani with the nice aroma of rice and the meat so succulent; the portion was great as well. Will visit again for other amazing Hyderabadi food options!! Highly recommended!

We craved for Indian food so we came to get take out. Ordered at the counter. Was told it would take 20min. At the end , it took more than 30 min. There were only a few tables there occupied but lots of ppl came in for take out. The food itself was ok. I ordered rice as well and it was $3.99 for a small container. Not sure if I will come back.

Chicken Tikka Garlic Naan

A new indian spot in Fremont? We definitely had to check it out! This is a new location near Sujus, and you order at your table through an app. You also pay through the app so make sure to add tip first! Service was friendly and fast (as it usually is at indian restaurants). For me - this spot was SO flavorful! BUT i will say, for all my lame folks out there, it is VERY spicy! Even the not so spicy items, were spicy! I still ate it though because it was good... i was just struggling. We got their garlic naan (my favorite), rice, samosas, chicken tikka masala and the eggplant curry! Recently my old go to indian restaurants have gone downhill - so this was an exciting new find! I will definitely be back and hopefully order less spicy things...!

Telangana Chilli Chicken (Spicy)

Visited this place with my besties on women's day. I found this place through an Instagram post. The ambiance is simple and clean, the service is attentive and now let's talk about food. We ordered there N all I gosht biryani, which was good and I would definitely recommend it, the Telangana chicken chilli leaves lot more to be desired, probably they need to fix how they need to season the chicken, the Shrimp were spot on but the street style noodles is something I would avoid, they were dry, the chicken in the noodle was drry and over done and the overall noodles didn't taste very well. The owner was open to the feedback and made note of it. I will stop by again in the future and hopefully it will a great experience across.

Chilli Chicken ($14.99)

Very flavorful dishes & the meat was all so tender! My favorite was their specialty Nalli Ghost Mutton Shahi Biryani. The mutton was quite literally fall off the bone and the curry was super flavorful with a kick. Went well with the red onions and a squeeze of lime. I also really liked their garlic naan. The chili chicken came out piping hot and fresh with a tangy & spicy flavor profile. Chicken tikka wasn't my favorite but the chicken itself was generously portioned and cooked well. I liked the telegana chicken curry more. Everything is ordered through online QR code. The service was okay; not attentive but nothing particularly bad. Place was very spacious and clean.

I'm so glad we gave this place a second try! The last time we ordered the lamb biryani, there was barely any meat, but this time it was exactly as we expected. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor. I absolutely love their spices and spice level -- it's perfect for someone like me who loves spicy food. Everything was on point, and I'm really happy we came back. Definitely recommend this place!

Vegetabl biryani, nice and spicy once you mix it up

Newish Indian restaurant in the plaza on the corner of Stevenson and Blacow. It's in between Rodeo and Cabrillo Park cafe and I've had it bookmarked for awhile. My parents were visiting and they felt like Indian food so finally had a good reason to come. I knew it was a good sign when I came at open on a Monday and by the time I had ordered people were already coming in. The interior is new and clean and had a ncie modern vibe inside. Dal Tadka: I'm a huge fan of Dal and I don't say this lightly but this is the best Dal I have ever had. It had a distinct smoked chili taste that made it so savory and incredibly good. I was getting instant Dal from Trader Joes and I can no longer eat it after this. Butter Chicken/Tikka Masala: Chicken was tender and plentiful inside of each. They didn't overly use cream and I thought the taste was very balanced. The Tikka Masala was especially nice and not overly done with sugar or tomatoes. Vegetable Briyani: HOT! buried under the gorgeously colored rice is a ghee layer that's been amplified with spices. Very spicy and tasty.

Paneer Methi Chaman
Gurpreet K.

We had the paneer methi chaman--it was rich, flavorful, and packed with soft paneer. The garlic naan came out fresh, crisp, and perfect to pair with the curry. For dessert, we ordered the shahi tukda and it was so delicious and full of flavor that we had to order another one! Special shoutout to our waiter Sai, who was very helpful and made the experience even better. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to.

Kothimera Kodi

This is small restaurant but well maintained. We got seated quickly. You can order from QR code. Service was good. Our server was very attentive. In starters we had kothmeer chicken. It has cilantro marination. Taste is unique and really good. This dish has some nuts though. Telangana chicken curry was spicy but not too much. Chicken was very well cooked. Butter chicken is really good. It is not sweet like other places so I liked it. Overall we loved the food and would like to try more.

Came here on a whim for first time and it exceeded my expectations. From the outside, it looks sketchy; looks small, crowded parking lot. It doesn't really stand out. It does not look inviting. But upon entering, it's cozy, quite lovely with minimalistic decor. As for the staff, he's polite and reserved. Service was decent. The food was flavorful and a bit on the spicy side which I liked. All of the dishes were a bit on the spicier side but eatable and enjoyable. I would recommend this and would most likely come back in the future!

Kadai Paneer, Butter Chicken
Noopur D.

We came to masala republic for the first time during Fremont restaurant week. The area is quite nice and has an inviting atmosphere and staff are all really friendly. We ordered kadai paneer, butter chicken, dal tadka, butter naan, and tandoor roti. Everything was good, good flavors and portions and we still had leftovers. My only complaint is that the restaurant week offer was a free mango lassi with our order, which was indicated to be a dine-in offer but we got it in a very small to-go cup. I thought they could have offered a larger glass for having come in and ordered a good amount of food. Other than that, we enjoyed it and would recommend.

They have a bright and airy space, although the fake plants at the entrance make you wonder if this really is an upscale place. They also have an outdoor patio where we saw a group dining with one of their furry friends. For appetizers, we ordered the Kerala chicken fry - well seasoned and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. For the entrees, we got a potlam goat biryani - a delicious biryani wrapped in a banana leaf served table side. We also got the Fish Pollichathu, a fish grilled with a tomato based topping that was wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a tapioca mash and rice. All the dishes were delicious. The portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers to take back home. We also received a complimentary gulab jamun creme brulee since I was part of their mailing list and a pistachio tiramisu to celebrate our special occasion. A truly wonderful experience that made our evening special. We will look forward to returning to sample more of their offerings.

Casual fine dining. Decent seating, good for groups. Decent prices. ***FOOD: we tried a whole bunch of items- *crispy baby corn-3.5/5- very crispy with a sweet and tangy coating indicating liberal vinegar usage. *malai soy chaap: 3.5/5: excessive usage of malai(aka fat). Indulgent and decent enough for a small serving. *vellulli kaaram paneer-3/5- lacked salt. Paneer was softish but felt a bit chewy and hard in places. *black pepper mushroom curry- 4/5- this was my favorite dish that evening. The fragrant curry leaves, earthiness of the mushroom and the black pepper created an intoxicating combination. It was floating in excess oil but was lip smacking delicious. *chilli garlic Naan: 4.5/5: I normally don't rate naan as they are non descript but the version here was wonderful. Thin, not burnt on the downside and paired oh so well with the mushroom curry. *Egg biryani- 3.5/5- this was spicy rather than being flavorful. Since it was made with egg, I didn't mind the spice.

I'm motivated to write this review specifically for 3 items that I enjoyed a lot. Lasuni Soya Chaap, Mushroom Pepper Fry and Chilli Garlic Naan. All 3 tasted amazing and made the experience all the more better. Lasuni Soya Chaap was flavorful, with generous amounts of garlic Chilli Garlic Naan was so good, that it didn't need another curry on the side. It was a novel idea and was a hit! Mushroom Pepper Fry was spicy but with pepper, the best way to spice things up! Enjoyed it. We also ordered Egg Biryani. It was so disappointing - very bland, both the rice and egg. Chili Paneer was just ok. Seemed like a tad bit extra ketchup Babycorn 65 was crispy and good too. The next time I come here, will max out on the appetizers, they seemed to be doing a great job. Coming back to try their non-vegetarian menu.

It was sweet, flavorless, dry and lacking spice - four out of four people didn't like it. I definitely won't be trying it again. The Mutton Biryani, was flavorful and definitely many times better than chicken biryani. The Haleem was the absolute best item we ordered and a definite hit, making it worth trying again. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.
