Since my first visit, I've been working my way through the menu and haven't had a miss yet. My favorites include the hash browns (to die for!), the buttermilk pancakes (great homestyle flavor & perfect texture), and the biscuits and gravy. I'm from Tennessee, so I'm picky about my biscuits and gravy, and theirs is the best I've had in Philly yet. I often go on weekday mornings, sit at the same corner table, and read a book while I sip coffee and enjoy a meal. It's perfect. I asked what was in their tiny pastries case and the only worker who was out in front of house took a good few minutes explaining each item to the point where I didn't even want any of them. Label your items! Negatives: The menu flyers have all the prices blacked out with marker, because they obviously raised their prices compared to when they opened less than a year ago. It's tacky! And the fixture menus they have on the walls (Which are all in different styles so you can tell when they added sections in) also have price increases, but the worst part is that they're so cheaply covered you can blatantly see that they raised their prices by SEVERAL DOLLARS. Like, you'll have a big sign saying "6.95" but there's a cheap, small "8" sticker on top of the 6 so I know you raised it by $2. Also, their cans of soda cost $2 each. Plus city tax. So if you can get a bottle from a vending machine for the same price, do so. And last time I was there, I got a few of their pastries.
