Visited Nan Xiang on a busy Saturday early afternoon…read more Once you enter, you can scan the QR code to enter your name and phone number and they will assign you a number. Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

Udon noodles are delicious, rolls are crispy, xiao long bao are the best in Flushing, IMO. Ordering online from their website is best, plan to allow 30 minutes for your order to be ready. They'll email you when it's ready. Until the next great meal!!!!

We walked in with no reservation on a Sunday evening - and the place was clearly quite full, but we were given a table right away. I had the pork soup dumplings and noodles with scallops and shrimp. Both were exceptional. My friend is vegan and was able to order rice and they had a mushroom stir-fry on special - which was so delightfully flavorful. I also really loved the pickled veggies they give at the start of the meal. The concept of ordering on iPads was interesting - I appreciated the ability to order at our own pace, but it did make it difficult to ask for clarification on certain things. Overall, delicious experience!

We ordered 1/2 peking duck, fried rice, chow mein (noodles), snow peas and soup dumplings. I don't remember the exact name of all of the dishes but everything tasted great. Service was good. Everyone spoke chinese but i think they speak english too lol. Parking in this neighborhood is terrible so good luck finding street parking. There are parking lots around. Would want to come again to with more so we can try a variety of other dishes. We definitely ordered way too much for two ppl this time lol Took a star off because of price.

We got the ginger milk pudding. Do think it's a bit pricey ($10) since it's an easy dessert to make but I guess it's all the theatrics. They pour the dessert in front of you and put a sand glass on top. Once sand glass is done, so is the dessert and you can even rest a spoon on top. The dessert is very smooth, barely a solid, and its ginger taste is very strong- which I like. Strong ginger but pairs well with the milk and good amount of sugar. It is a bit spicy but I like it this way. They do have a lot of other desserts as well as savory items on the menu. Intrigued by their savory menu and will definitely come back to try them next time.

The noodles were incredibly bouncy and had an amazing mouth feel. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor. I'm allergic to shrimp and got the vegetable broth with beef and was worried about that flavor but it was so amazing I plan to become a regular. My husband enjoyed the traditional shrimp wonton soup and he said it was delicious!! Small inside dining area but on a weekday we had no wait. I ate in the enclosed patio which only had two tables, and the inside didn't seem much bigger. There is no bathroom for customers so don't bank on bio breaks here. It's efficient in that I was seated promptly, was able to place my order when I was ready, and the food came out lickety-split. Carry cash for a discount. I ordered the Wonton, Dumpling, & Beef Stew Noodle Soup ($14.75) under the "Popular Items" section of the menu since it seemed sampler-esque. The wontons and dumplings were similar since they both contained shrimp and pork but I leaned towards the dumplings since they also included mushroom, bamboo, wood ear, and chives. The duck egg noodles, beef, and broth rounded out the awesomeness. Can't wait to return with others!

When you get lucky, Legend Chicken is the best fried chicken in New York City and the closest thing to actual Taiwan you'll find here ...the cutlet, the popcorn chicken, real night-market flavor, an easy 7/10. But it's a gamble. Run into the rude staff and it falls apart: they won't even acknowledge you, they look miserable, and the chicken comes out overcooked and dry. It sometimes it feels like one of those gimmick restaurants where they're rude on purpose, except it's not a joke. In Taiwan the people behind these counters are genuinely warm, and tipping isn't even a thing. Here I've tipped generously and still been treated like an inconvenience.
