The chewiness and toughness was a big let down for sure, as for all the meat that he cut off from the bone, they were all very hard to eat. The chicken was very moist, juicy and also simply seasoned. The ground beef was okay but didn't knock my socks off like the other two. The dough was thin and fried well, light and not oily. The pastels were served with a side of pineapple hot sauce. The sauce was hot, though not unbearably, but the pastels, IMO, stood on their own and didn't need it. Food prep time was a little long'ish given it wasn't that busy when I ordered. However, the food came out piping hot so I felt getting freshly cooked food was worth the little bit of a wait. The owners were very warm people who seemed to care about providing great food to their customers. I highly recommend giving the food a try if you're in the area.
