They both have an exceptional bed-side (table-side?) manner, and intersperse humour with professionalism, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the human body. Of late, my treatments have been entirely with Susan, and she has been amazing at finding and working out every issue I bring to her. Appointments are easy to come by, and they also don't get twisted if something happens and you need to re-schedule (although try not to do so, as this is a very small practice that has to juggle a lot of patients' needs). I'd always been afraid of acupuncture, but the good folks here helped me get over it and appreciate a new way of feeling better. Truly recommend them, whether or not you like or believe in acupuncture. You just might be surprised by it, and I'm sure the good people at NYC Points will win you over.

In August of last year it got so bad that I had 5 migraines in a week and decided it was time to try something else. In the past people suggested acupuncture but I was always skeptical. After doing some research I found NYC points online. I originally was planning on using group-on to book my appointment but to my surprise they took my insurance and I was covered for visits. I went through a consultation with Jennifer and I knew this would be something that could work. Jennifer is great not only does she treat you but she goes out of her way to explain exactly why she is treating you a certain way. I was scheduled for weekly appointments early on and now I go monthly. Thankfully since I began going in August 2010 I have not experienced one migraine. I can say without a doubt that Jenn and NYC points have changed my life. Migraines were a major deterrent to me since alcohol and chocolate were common triggers. If you are suffering from migraines I can find no reason why you shouldn't give it a shot.

At each visit he asks about my latest health updates and any issues I'm having. He'll adjust where he pokes me with the needles based on this. He accepts insurance. Even though my insurance does not cover acupuncture I find him reasonably priced and he offers a discount if you buy a package. The office is overall very nice. It's well kept and clean.

Wow, was I wrong--Mark Moschinsky has been practicing his profession at Union Square for over 30 years! It's been 60 years since a so-called doctor used his hands to sense my internal organs, look at my tongue and eyes, and feel my pulse. I was already on several self-healing protocols for many life-acquired conditions and have made good progress in my recovery. Still, I kept experiencing setback blockages and was desperate to find an acupuncturist who could treat me so I could fine-tune my protocols. One of the initial things I noticed was how at ease I felt when I first arrived. I typically have severe anxiety especially the first visit of a medical treatment so the fact I had just power walked almost two miles in crowds of people on my way to an initial acupuncture visit and felt as relaxed as I did is some kinda amazing. Second when it comes to acupuncture I'm a little particular to say the least. I typically don't feel like I benefit unless the practitioner is a "sadist" Every therapist is unique but in the past I've either had seemingly pointless needles (te he) in my skin or aggressive full on radiating shockwaves. This was an entirely new experience. I had stated my preference on releasing qi which tends to be slightly more painful than basic acu points. His technic was very different from any past treatments. I was able to feel the circulation from points he was working on just without the pain I typically associate with stronger needling. To the contrary it was actually such a relaxing session by the end I was definitely asleep Another first for me. The downside to being half comatose is trying to pay. I was impressed I was able to still do math in that state but apparently my bills had stuck together and I wasn't paying (te he) attention. When I came back from the restroom he let me know I had accidentally given him too much and returned the $100 I had overpaid. All in all I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality acupuncture treatment and I feel like returning money is proof of character.
