It was not bad, but the place looked kind of dirty, although there was an employee wiping down tables when we were there. I can't comment on the service because you order on a screen and when your order is ready they just call your name, so we had little to no interaction with the worker. Taiyaki made to order! They have a few fillings to choose from and make your taiyaki fresh. I can't eat just one. My fave filling is the custard. The hubby and I usually eat them there because the texture is better when eaten fresh. Beware that the filling is hot. Like lava hot LOL. I usually break off the tail to let them cool a bit before burning my tongue. They have table and chairs both inside and out. It can be a bit loud inside if it is a full house. Parking is t an issue here. They also offer soft serve with taiyaki cones, boba drinks and halo halo but their taiyaki are the showstopper. For a very finicky, Matcha ice cream lover I have to say that spot is amazing!! I got the matcha and Ube swirl and really it does have both flavors. The ice cream is so smooth almost like a McDonald's ice cream with just a thicker texture that is perfect! I love that you get to choose your toppings or just go without it. I love supporting a local small business. Their soft serve & taiyaki are great. Been here just a handful of times over the past few years & it's nice to see that they now have a small selection of quick bites added to their menu! I tried their popcorn chicken & the guy was able to make it spicy upon request. My Thai tea was on the sweeter side but I'm sure that can be adjusted. Only downside was it took longer than expected to receive our order; but to justify, it looks like a pretty good sized party was there just a few minutes before us & it seemed like it was just 1 person doing the orders. Dropped in on a Sunday afternoon and knew exactly what we wanted. No one was at the counter when we approached; but the worker popped out of the back in short order and was cordial as we made our request and paid. We were handed our number and went to find one of the few clean tables to sit at and wait. Not too many folks in here at the time. A few minutes later a young woman walked in holding her cellphone in one hand and her charger in the other. She had incredibly intricate braids in her hair that I noticed as she scanned the place and clued in to exactly the four top at which we sat. Practically running up to us she motioned to the outlet in the wall under our table. "Y'ALL MIND IF I PLUG MY PHONE IN??" She didn't really wait for an answer before she had it plugged in and was walking around to the other side of the table, plopping herself down in an open chair. "I'LL BE QUIET I SWEAR.", she announced as our nostrils began to fill with the unmistakable odor of the devil's lettuce. Almost as soon as she sat down she jumped back up and approached the lady behind the counter. I couldn't hear their exchange but "Mary Jane" pointed back toward her phone and asked something of the worker, then she returned to spill into her chair. The worker's nose crinkled and she looked helpless - it's clear they don't train you for situations like this. A few moments later our number was called and I left to fetch our order. Two Halo Halos. The stoned woman was intrigued. "What *that*?!" We explained what it was and she replied, "Nothin' in here smell good but that look amaze!" My mind immediately went to the worst possible outcome of what could've unfolded so I announced to my wife, "You ready?!" My wife quickly covered my tracks as she collected her things, "We don't mean to be rude. We're just late for our next thing." We weren't late for anything. But to save face we jumped in our car and drove it around the block where we parked and finished our desserts. I'll think about this place for a long, long time. They didn't put much fruity pebble toppings so once you ate all that you were just eating ice cream at that point. My husband liked the strawberry and cream taiyaki. My Thai tea was super good! Definitely recommend. The boba was sweet. However, my husband was not a fan of his passion fruit tea. It was very tart and had seeds in it. Not sure why since we wanted popping boba. Love this place, a huge family favorite. Don't come too often as it's a far drive for us, but it's worth it. Service is always friendly, helpful and on point, service is quick, too. Their drinks and taiyaki and ice creams are delicious! I Like coming here and trying new things, only place close enough that I know of that has halo halo. The kids love building their own taiyaki combos and the endless possibilities. We've even hosted a big meeting here for our non-profit organization and they were so nice and accommodating. Love going here! The staff is wonderful, and the ice cream is yummy. They even serve other treats like boba drinks, taiyaki, and halo halo. Their menu is always alternating flavors. The day I went they had a Thai tea & taro mix so I had to try that. I usually get custard on the inside, and put Oreo crumbs + fruity pebbles. My only thing is I wish they'd make the ice cream to be more thicker. Their ice cream tends to melt REALLY quickly so it gets quite messy.. :( The lot here is a bit tight, but has a decent amount of room.
