I got the gyro with Greek meatballs as the protein and the spicy tzatziki sauce. I really liked the spicy tzatziki. Although it was spicy as in flavorful, not necessarily spicy in terms of heat, and I love spicy hot food, I still enjoyed the flavor. My biggest complaint with the meat and my side (dirty rice) was that they were far too salty. It left that feeling on my tongue that you get when you eat too many potato chips. Fortunately, my boyfriend got the fries as his side, and they were beautifully crispy. If you order food from here, I recommend the fries over the rice. The meat in his gyro (lamb/beef combo) was not over salted, so I would also recommend that over the meatballs. Everything seemed fresh, it was just an issue of being over-salted, which can be easily corrected.

Loved to see the support from my neighbors! I was able to checkout the menu before heading down and had set my sights on their new Mexican Mac & Shrimp Bowl. This bowl was listed with the following -- mac & cheese, Cajun butter poached shrimp, queso, peppers and onions, black bean corn salsa, citrus crema, salsa sauce, jalapeños, and tortilla strips and cilantro. All things I love! Once I got to the window and placed my order I only had a short wait to receive my food. The guy at the window was super friendly! I brought the goods home and knew I was going to have leftovers for days. (Which I'm still enjoying!!!). As you can tell from the list of ingredients above I found the bowl offered a lot of fun combinations making for a great eating experience. The 2 things that would have elevated the bowl for me would have been salt and spice! I understand that serving a large range of clientele from a food truck would force seasoning to be on a lighter handed side versus a heavy handed side. But the reality is that I got to bring my bowl home and adjust the seasoning and spice level myself. :-) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the FU truck again.
