Really torn between giving Delilah a 3 or a 4 star, but because ultimately, despite its flaws I had a great experience here, I went with a 4. Delilah just recently started their happy hour. Now, everyone knows Delilah is an upscale swanky restaurant, and by no means is it casual. However, at 5pm on a weekday and coming for happy hour, I think it's absurd to expect your guests to be wearing their trendiest dresses and heels when coming from work or otherwise. The host mentioned when I walk in that they had a dress code, and though my outfit was cute, it was too casual (I was in high waisted shorts, a tube top, nice sneakers, and wearing a Gucci belt and purse.) i said "even for happy hour?" And the host looked like he didn't know the answer to this- probably because they just started HH and he genuinely didn't know the policy. He was nice and let us in. Now none of this would matter except that everyone else in the restaurant was also wearing jeans, T shirts, sandals, etc. and were no more dressed up than I was. I completely respect a dress code, but for happy hour during the work week, it seems a little try hard and extra. Now on to the food - The crab cake was genuinely the best crab cake i have ever had. The sauce was amazing and the lumps of crab were huge. Carpaccio was truffly and delicious. The Cuban croquetas were good, rich, and heavy. I wouldn't order again. The octopus was below average, and a small portion. Wouldn't order again. Calamari and chicken fingers were classic and a solid order. All of the portions were huge, and each plate during happy hour was $12!!!!! The cocktails too! I ordered the cocktail with guava, yum, and the espresso martini was flavored with vanilla and so, so delicious. I tried Delilah Miami's brunch when it first launched, and honestly, I wasn't too impressed. Brunch is $85 per person and includes the breakfast bar plus one entrée, but drinks are extra. After tip and the entertainment fee, it ends up closer to $130-$150 per person, which feels excessive. The breakfast bar was fine, with eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit but the entrée was really the only thing I enjoyed. I wish you could just order from the regular menu. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the live entertainment makes for a lively setting, but overall the value just isn't there for the price. read more

Be prepared--a meal for four can easily run close to $1,000. While that price tag isn't unheard of in Miami, it's worth noting if you're planning to savor their top dishes. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend going just for smaller plates. The 1920s Prohibition theme and live jazz music added an irresistible charm to the ambiance, making the experience feel unique and special. From the sides, the most slept on dish is the carrot soufflé. Warm, with a touch of cinnamon, it's the perfect cup of comfort--perfection in every bite. The Macaroni Gratinée is another must-try, creamy and indulgent. For appetizers, the iceberg wedge stood out with its perfect crunch and complementary blue cheese dressing, and the wagyu carpaccio is a must for any wagyu lover. However, the chicken tenders were a letdown--not bad, but just not worth ordering again. The star of the night was the 32 oz prime tomahawk, cooked perfectly to a medium as ordered, and accompanied by the creamiest pommes purée that elevated the entire dish. To finish off the meal, Kendall's slutty brownie--a decadent combination of Oreo, chocolate chip, and brownie--was the perfect sweet trifecta. A dirty martini with blue cheese olives was the ideal pairing to complete the night. Where they lost a star was when the server reached in front of my plate and said, "No photos." It's not that deep...I completely understand enforcing this if flash photography is disruptive or if people are in the background, but it was just a quick photo of the food! Plus, this isn't a private membership club, and we're in Miami--clearly, that "rule" isn't consistently followed. It became a running joke for the rest of the evening. I've been to Delilah twice now, once for dinner during Miami Spice, and the second time I visited during their newly-launched brunch. The first time, I got to try the JOJO cocktail, the TUNA TARTARE, the 8 OZ PRIME FILET MIGNON, the MACARONI GRATINÉE, and a couple of delicious desserts because it was my birthday. That evening, the food and the service were excellent. On my second visit, I got to try the DELILAH CHICKEN TENDERS AND WAFFLES, and the THE BURGER (which is a smashed burger). The chicken was a big overcooked, but the burger was delicious. The breakfast and dessert bars both left something to be desired. The service though was excellent. The space is absolutely beautiful, and each time I've visited the live entertainment has been spectacular. The ambiance is elevated and inviting, and as previously stated, the service was 5 stars. On my second visit for brunch however, there were no toilet paper or hand towels in the ladies room toward the end of the brunch service and it took several requests for these items to be replenished. Although the brunch's breakfast and dessert bars could be much improved, I think Delilah is a wonderful restaurant that's definitely worth a visit and is a great addition to the neighborhood. read more

The space is absolutely stunning! You instantly feel like you are in a 20's movie with the flash decor and live performances. But the positives stop here. The service is HORRENDOUS. Possibly the worst i've experienced in Miami. Unless you are a celebrity, you are treated horribly. Our reservation was at 10pm and we were not seated until 11pm. They offered to give us a free drink for the inconvenience (at that point we were starving, we didnt want a drink but we accepted). They walked us over to the bartender, and then he took someone elses order before ours. At the hostess stand, people pushed by us and were given seating priority. They sat us at a "table" not even a dinner table its the kind that are at clubs. We had to lean over to eat. The food took a while. We ordered the octopus and it was the smallest piece of octopus i ever had. The tuna tartare was pretty basic but still tasty. We actually really enjoyed the famous chicken tenders, the dill ranch and tangy bbq sauce were both great. The chicken was hot and juicy. We also really liked the mac and cheese. but this was a huge price to pay for chicken tenders and mac and cheese. The food took awhile too and no one ever apologized for how long we had to wait. I also tried to take a few pictures for my review, but i got chastised by the waiter (I understand the rules... no photos) I had such a fun time at the Delilah in LA (which is more of a lounge space). I wish miami would follow suit, instead of a poorly run restaurant scene. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they are new. I really wanted to like it and maybe they will improve. Kareena, I thought you should know... Last's nights New Year's experience at your restaurant has to be the worst I ever experienced, especially in a high end restaurant. We had dinner reservations at 11 and checked in at 10. The place was overbooked and over crowded. It took over 10 minutes to get a drink and almost impossible to get to the bar. The music was way too loud? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind loud music but when you van't hear the person you're dining with, not to mention your wait staff, it's way too much. We were not seated until after midnight and even then it took over 15 minutes to be addressed by a wait person. The line upstairs to check in was also a 15 minute wait and I had to do that twice. The dinner service was terrible. I spoke to the waiter after dinner and he completely agreed with me. And you charge me $200.00 for this experience? On top of that, you add an entertainment fee to the bill? For a disc-jockey? Your restaurant is very expensive. You did a disservice to both your new customers, like us, as well as your waitstaff. I'm sure your restaurant is very nice on normal nights. I don't know if I will ever be back. It ruined a beautiful New Years date with my friend. It was so loud we could not even talk to one another. The only positive thing about the night was that the food was good. The waiter offered us free deserts, however, I waited 15 minutes for them and could not wait any longer. It is a fancy place with live music, but the rude staff, mediocre food, and exceptionally high prices put a bad taste in my mouth. We had a reservation for 8 people, and the staff took about 20 extra minutes to seat us. We were there on an off night and there were ample seats. Did they just not plan accordingly? Hostess didn't crack a smile at all. The waitress didn't seem to know much about the menu and gave us the blandest recommendations. The sommelier was rude to us. When we pushed back a little, he didn't let us uncork our second bottle of wine. Why? He wouldn't say. We called ahead and made sure we could BYO. Also confirmed we could bring magnums. There is a corking fee, which we fully understood We ordered quite a bit. I'm going to forget a number of items, but everything was underwhelming: 2x burgers - dry Lobster ravioli - flavor was good but lobster was over cooked 3x chicken tenders - good but for $27, a bit crazy. $9 per tendie. The ranch type sauce was strange and too runny Octopus - best thing we had Wagyu carpaccio - ok 3x fries - good but salty. Stepping info Delilah is like stepping into an old-fashioned supper club, complete with live jazz music. I have to be honest, I initially thought this would feel gimmicky, but this concern was put to rest once I got there. The attention to detail and ambiance is relaxing and sophisticated, and the food stands up. Cocktails are also a standout, with martinis served with a generous sidecar. You might be skeptical paying nearly 30 dollars for chicken tenders as an appetizer, but they are worth it! They are pretty much the Platonic ideal of a chicken tender. From the moment we walked in, everyone was very welcoming and nice, seating us basically front stage, we felt like we had the best seat/table in the restaurant. With Miami spice still going on, I opted to go that route, therefore ordering an appetizer, entree and dessert. For starters I was recommended and ordered the chicken tenders, nice and juicy, 3 tenders served with 3 sauces, bbq, ranch and a spicy honey, that was oh so deliciously spicy sweet! For my main I went with the scallops, perfectly seared and glistening which I enjoyed with an additional side I shared of jumbo asparagus served in a most interesting way, with a runny egg yolk on top, it was perfect. As for desert, I went with the key lime pie, creamy and not overly tart. Everything just seemed to be working our way this evening and we left very happy and already talking about a next visit. Host staff was great although they could indicate we go up the stairs instead of us having to figure it out. Young people these days have difficulty communicating. The bar area is odd. Barely enough room to walk behind those on the bar stools. I'm a fan of a dark restaurant but not this dark. Can't see a thing. Great bathrooms. The bad: The food does not remotely seem freshly made. I had the calamari, the tuna cone thing, the tomato mozzarella salad, and the burger. The $32 burger.... You get two 4 oz patties. You can't select a temp cuz they're too small and smashed. The justify the price with an offer of truffle fries. There is no way they make these patties themselves. What logic is there in a tiny burger that can't be medium rare for $32? There are almost no restaurants that just aren't heating up pre-cooked Sysco foods today. Another gal ordered the teeny tiny lamb chops, not remotely worth the price. She also ordered the squash which didn't arrive until she was finished. Nobody came over to check on her dinner (she sat down after we ordered). I asked for double extra pickles and didn't get them. I had to ask again after the food was put down. I even said, bring me twice as much as you think I want and I only got four extra slices. The ugly: The server Chris seemed like he was on, well, something that made him speed talk and jitter around. I easily had to ask him 6 times to repeat what he said because his words all blend together. No disclosure of the tip being included, which is fine, but they should tell you. I still tip extra unless something awful happened. I would never return based on this. There simply wasn't any value for the money. Bonus: The singer was awesome. This was my first time checking out the patio area and golden hour. It was my birthday so I decided to grab a few friends and go. The view is amazing from the patio. And there are heated lamps outdoors which was perfect because it was a little chilly out. Our server was wonderful. Very witty and super attentive. Unfortunately I don't recall his name. All of the food items were delicious. I especially enjoyed the tenders, a crab cake, and the carpaccio. With the beef, pickled onion, and truffle, it was the absolute perfect bite. The crab cake is nice and seasoned and not bready. And the tenders are so moist, flavorful and crispy. The chocolate cake was very rich and yummy. I didn't want to over indulge. Lol. I started with the champagne papi since I love a drink with champagne in it. It was really good. I switched to the jojo to try something different and ended up having three. That was my fav one. The prices for golden hour are really great also. Half priced cocktails and $12 apps will have me there more often. I really liked the fact that I was able to take pics of the food to share with my Yelp community since photos are prohibited inside of the dining room area. My only complaint which I know is a thing at many restaurants is the "entertainment fee" and service charge added to the bill. Took the total up $100. It's impossible to get someone on the phone, we were looking for the entrance and valet and after going around twice asked someone in the building next door who indicated where the valet would be. It's across the street no signs but "valet". It's also $30 pretty pricey when you have to look for it and still cross the street... the place is beautiful, service impeccable. Now for the food and drinks.., we tried two different cocktails each they were all delicious. We came for their "golden hour" aka happy hour. Plates are $12. Ceviche and crab cake were delicious. Chicken tenders and pigs in a blanket nothing special at all. We went last night for my fiancé's birthday. At first approach, it feels like a cool restaurant with an equally cool atmosphere. In reality, the Service was excellent. The atmosphere was cool BUT loud so dont plan on any in depth conversations with people and I thought it would be much darker than it was inside. Sadly, the Food quality was not so good. It felt like it was similar to a cruise ship serving/ cattle call. The sashimi (yellow tail and tuna) were just fair... it simply did not taste fresh and was oversauced. I could not make it past 2 bites of the salmon entree as it tasted fishy- yuck. The fillet was just 'good' and yet again ALL sauced up. The sides were overly sauced and no where near the territory of a forthcoming Michelin star. Finally, what's up with all the rules? "You must order all at once" they said = IN OTHER WORDS, you dont really dine here, we get you in and out. "We have this great live entertainment BUT you cant take pictures" = IN OTHER WORDS, people will see this as it is and not as exclusive as we portray it to be. Delilah is one of the few "exclusive" restaurants one can visit. The ambiance is sexy and classy. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. You are not allowed to take photos or videos which I love so everyone can truly be in the moment and enjoy the experience. I was able to watch live entertainment while enjoying my meal and the performance was amazing. I recommend you try Delilah's at least one time. Came to Delilah to celebrate a late bday with my best friend last Sunday. I had been looking forward to Come here since my experience in Las Vegas was fantastic. Great place for entertainment. No pictures allowed because there could be 'famous people inside'? There are famous people everywhere in Miami. So not sure why that policy. Didn't bother me as much as the potatoes that come with the caviar service we ordered. They just felt saggy inside. We ended up eating our caviar with vanilla ice cream and that is the reason I'm giving this 3 stars. The service was great and the server also brought a piece of a delicious chocolate cake at the end. When you come across a place like Delilah, it's hard to know where to begin. Located in the heart of Brickell lies this sophisticated establishment. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a grand stairwell and beautiful signage made out of gold and a leopard looking background that seems to be made of resin. My friends and I decided to celebrate a birthday here. Reservations are highly recommended as it seemed to be quite packed when we got there. We waited about 30 mins at the bar, while they cleared a table for us. The decor is so picturesque. I understand why there's "no pictures" signs everywhere--aside from the possible celebrity sighting. I wanted to take pictures of EVERYTHING. I loved the low-key ambiance and live music going on. There was a lady in a nice dress playing modern acoustic hits with the help of her band. Once we were sat, the night really began...what did we not order haha! We ordered the hiramasa ceviche, wagyu carpaccio, king crab salad, oysters, roasted scallops, the branzino for 2, roasted chicken, macaroni gratinée, jumbo asparagus, fries and for dessert we had the sorbet and chocolate profiteroles. No one really drank except for a nice glass of Malbec wine from Mendoza. Everything we ordered was superb. My favorites were the wagyu carpaccio, oysters, king crab salad and the macaroni gratinée. Amazinggggg stuff. The taste of the branzino was there, but could have been better, if it didn't have so many scales and the scallops had a bit too much of salt; things that can easily be fixed. Overall, an amazing experience. Server was on point from taking the order to dropping the check. I recommend this spot for a nice evening out with friends or with that special someone. read more

Transport back to the 1920s with this STUNNING new Miami spot. This new location of Delilah's does not disappoint- the interior and live jazz band were even better than the Vegas and LA locations. Because it is so new there is an overwhelming amount of servers waiting to make your every desire come true. I was very weary after reading the reviews. I couldn't decide If I wanted to eat here or not but I am very glad I did. The service was amazing and so was the food. I think that maybe they just have bad nights but we had no complaints. From the moment we walked in the hostess was very pleasant and we added an extra to our party without an issue. No pictures are allowed and it's amazing. It takes away from the tacky flashy night life where everyone is only out to take a photo. There are no annoying individuals standing in the way or pulling out a selfie light or using flash to ruin the ambiance. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and makes you feel as if you're walking straight into a scene from the great gatsby. If you do want to avoid some of the more negative aspects in the reviews I suggest you go earlier. This is a restaurant that turns more into a club/lounge as it gets later and therefore it may become less of a formal dining experience.
