    Walnut + Custard Delimanjoo

    This spot is part of the Mama stall in a food mall in KTown, so it's a bit hard to find. They are cash only under $7 so I would recommend paying as a group. I ordered the matcha red bean taiyaki, and was quite pleased with my order. The dessert wasn't too sweet, and the texture was soft and chewy, like there was a bit of mochi in the ingredients. It was warm and freshly made. My friends who ordered the delimanjoo complained that they were cold however; I think these are pre-made so I would recommend ordering one of the big ones.

    Had hard time finding this place because of name diff, but you can find it as soon as you enter building, its on the left side near entrance; called MAMA. Ordered matcha custard and matcha redbean one. Really like the custard one because it was chewy w matcha flavor and so creamy inside w custard. There are seating area inside (one in 2nd floor also)

    It's been awhile since I had one of these. I stopped by with my husband on a weekend for a quick dessert after dinner. He ordered a matcha taiyaki and I got a mochi taiyaki with nutella inside. Warm creamy oozing chocolate inside a mochi taiyaki was amazing!~ My husband wasn't a huge fan of the matcha; he said it was lacking and had better.

    Really unsure why this isn't part of the "Mama" listings / https://www.yelp.com/biz/mama-new-york as Food Gallery 32 only lists one and the delimanjoo spot is just part of the Mama menu. My review in short has both. From the "Mama" listings, the buns are tasty. The kimchi bun (or "bunn" as they list) is probably my favorite with a good spicy kick. The red bean, beef, and mini pocket buns are also tasty. They were one of the first popular stands here and they maintain being one of the better ones but there are better cheaper spots for steamed buns. From "delimanjoo," the hodo kwaja/walnut cake and to a lesser extent the tayaki are the good things here and not the mini delimanjoo. I find the custard or red bean to be too sparse and it's overpriced. The croissant taiyaki is a fun twist but I don't think that the texture works. The matcha taiyaki is very light so just stick with a traditional filled with custard or red bean. I have also had experiences of the former two being every temperature from cool to warm to hot which isn't that good of a thing either as the texture kind of fails when it cools down. For their inconsistencies, this part of the menu gets a 2 while the former gets a 3.

    My friend loves Delimanjoo and we were so excited to find this spot so close to our hotel! Delimanjoo can often be found at train stations in South Korea and are typically made fresh to order and filled with custard. So this shop did have Delimanjoo in custard, however it was so disappointing that it was cold... like other reviewers had mentioned, they also don't offer to heat it up for you. I really wish they would let you purchase hot and fresh made delimanjoo... not cold ones that's been sitting there for awhile.

    We got the red bean filled walnut cake. We got 7 pieces. I'm not sure if it's actually a health food, but the cake definitely tasted really strong of walnuts. The inside filling was good too. Sweet red bean paste, but not too sweet. My mom loves these. They are her favorite things. They handed us a batch immediately after we ordered them. I think they make them in advance. It looked like they make the red bean fish to order. They were making alot as we were there ordering. It wasn't too crowded there.

    I like this place for a quick and small dessert. I've only tried their Delimanjoo which are mini and cute. They are filled with custard and we got ones dipped with chocolate and sprinkles. I thought it was going to be hot but it came out cold but it was still tasty. It's perfect for times when you want something sweet after dinner but are too full for too much dessert. They're easy to share which is perfect. The line to order is quick and the Delimanjoo are premade so there's no wait once you order

    This is my go-to taiyaki place in Manhattan. It's the first stall on the left when you enter Food Gallery 32. I always get their red bean fish. They are made fresh, and piping hot. Love the slightly crispy exterior that leads way to a soft, chewy inside, and the semi-sweet red bean filling. Perfect post-dinner dessert without being too heavy.

    Came here twice in a week!! Absolutely love the delimanjoo from this spot. I would definitely get the original flavor because the treat doesn't need any additional additives. One thing to keep in mind, they make the delimanjoo beforehand and are cold when packaged. The taiyaki and other desserts are made to order and hot when served. I would also keep in mind the updated pricing. It's $18 for 22 pieces, NOT 26 pieces. Highly recommend trying this spot

    There's a $7 credit card minimum so I ended up getting the set with three delimanjoo fish with custard and the walnut cake. Everything came extremely lukewarm and honestly a little stale tasting. I'm sure it was great fresh but by the time it was served, it was extremely dry and crumbly. The custard inside the delimanjoo was minimal- there was almost nothing and the fish was mostly bread. The walnut cake were slightly better. Although it was still dry and cold, the red bean paste inside with the walnut bits gave it some extra flavor and crunch. I probably wouldn't return given the cost and flavor of the snacks here.

    I love taiyaki so I stopped by here after dinner in ktown. This time around, we decided to get the chocolate covered mini taiyaki. I was expecting the filling to be red bean, but it was custard instead. Not bad, even though they got cold by the time we got back to our hotel room. The chocolate added a nice crunch to the chewy treat and the custard was creamy and sweet. Overall, a nice blend of flavors and textures and it didn't feel too heavy at all. You can easily find this place inside the small food court, right at the entrance, next to the churro stand.

    I've had this several times over the past several years. I love the custard cream delimanjoo especially. The inside is just delicious. It's a perfect treat. The exterior is a bit crispy, especially around the edges. It's basically mini bungeoppang. It's so cute. I also love the chocolate one & the red bean is really good too. They have 8pcs for $6+. I wish they offered smaller portions like 6pc or 4pc. Also, they don't take cards unless it's over $7.

    This taiyaki is definitely severely overpriced but I was really craving it at the time The matcha and mochi mochi texture is quite authentic but I wouldn't say it's worth the price. Maybe when I reaaaalllly crave it again in the future.

It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Hubs got hot stone bibimbap and as we all know the crispy rice is the best part of it... it's just tough to separate it from the actual stone dish so you can eat it, especially if you wait until it cools and fuses. If I was there with more stomach space I wanted to try the galbi, and in fact there's a weekday lunch combo that could facilitate that.

The only thing that I thought was a bit of a shame is that there's a $10 cake cutting service PER PERSON, if you wanted to celebrate a birthday. We got their fried chicken, beef tartare, 2 galbi jjim, and their bossam. Everything was phenomenal. While I think we could've skipped the chicken, the galbi jjim is a must-try. Cocktails are also great here. Amazing dining experience, food, ambiance, service, and I highly recommend.
