There is a food court in the lower level of this terminal, we are never certain if there will be good food options on the other side of the gate. We grabbed our carry out from Gochujang and were so relieved we had outside carry out since the food options didn't appeal to either of us at the airport. The food court does have a good high and low table options at least. It's a basic airport and small, massively under construction everywhere and looks rather chaotic on the outside, but hopefully it will be much better when it's done. It was a royal and long 20 minute wait for our Lyft to get to us with all of the construction. I do like and appreciate the plugs and USB and free WiFi at some of the seats. read more

Was really craving taiyaki so this was an awesome find. Really like that the fish isn't just dough, but is mochi and has a nice chew to it. The red bean and custard fillings were good as well. Really quick service if you just want something Togo for lunch. The inside of the bun was dry. For the spicy pork, it wasn't spicy at all. I think also before I came I was expecting more of the Chinese steam pork buns and more savory filling but this was the opposite. The pork is combined with I believe kimchi. It was not to my taste. I'm normally not a fan of too much dessert unless I have a friend to share with, so I've stayed away from the full-sized taiyakis because those are just way too big. They are sold in multiples of eights, and you have the option to get them dipped in chocolate with sprinkles or just plain. I believe they are all filled with cream. If you've never had these before, think of them as the Japanese version of cream puffs...they're also way cuter! A little on the pricey side, especially if you get them with chocolate and sprinkles, because they come out to close to a dollar each, but well worth it if you need a pick-me-up! In fact, I have come here twice on the same day because I have little self control (and maybe I was going to be late to a meeting nearby and forgot to get some sprinkle chocolate fish). Service is always fast, staff is always friendly, and the food is always good. My favorite buns are the red bean and sweet potato. The red bean especially- it's just so good! The pork was slightly too spicy for me, but still good. The sprinkle chocolate fish, as expected, are delicious as well! The buns were $3 each and $15 for 16 sprinkle chocolate fish. I also love that it is in the food court because I can hop over to Kung Fu Tea for my tea (or anywhere else really). If you're a local or a regular, I recommend asking for a stamp card because you can get a free bun if you purchase 5 times. I had the kimchi bun $2.50 - its your average sized bun if you've had chinese steamed buns before, approx 3.5" in diameter. inside was a mix of kimchi, what appeared to be glass noodles and maybe rice. The bun wrapping is very fluffy and soft I felt that the kimchi filling to rice-noodle ratio was too low and the texture was just too carb-mushiness for my taste. Could barely taste the kimchi flavor. When I bite into a steamed bun I except an explosion of flavor and different textures but the rice and the noodles inside just really made it bleh. The slaw thrown in should've been crisper and more vinegary in order to pair with the pork, which should've been spicier and hotter... overall felt like an end-of-the-day serving for a regular-day pricing, which wasn't all too exciting. Korean steamed bun place. I decided to give this place a try and see how they compare to Chinese steamed buns. The outside of the bun was about the same - soft and fluffy. I have had the beef bun and the pork bun. The meat in these buns is more shredded up and not whole or lumpy like the Chinese ones. Vegetables and unexpectedly bits of japchae noodles are mixed in with the meat too. The beef one is slightly better because I felt that the filling had more flavor. The pork one is actually filled with an orange spicy chili sauce, but besides the spiciness, it is actually more bland. Both of these buns are okay and definitely a little different but don't compare to Chinese ones. read more

Thursday, 1:15pm - A small stand in the popular Food Gallery 32, Bunn provides big flavor. This place has several great pork bun choices. I went for the Bacon Kimchee Bun which went for $3.50 and their new pocket bun which was a pork bun made into a sandwich with a mix of either juicy and crispy pork or beef. Those went for $5 for two. So for $8.50 I got an extremely filling meal that is also really delicious! HENRY'S TIP: Take your buns to the third floor where there is a lot more space to sit. The window out front is always steamed up and it's always so intriguing. I was luckily in the mood for something fast, cheap, and light the other night, and Bunn magically appeared in front of me. I opted for the pork bun and was surprised with a bun dyed a beautiful purple. Despite being pretty late at night, the bun was piping hot and wasn't stale at all. The pork on the inside was a little spicy, although I could still top it with some sriracha and soy sauce. The combination of the pork and rice noodles made it deceivingly filling: it more than satisfied my growling stomach. I'm glad to know about another fast cheap eats option in Ktown. I'm giving this place 3 stars for the the size of their buns. Both my friend and I thought it would mostly be dough, but a bite into them showed a thin wrapper with lots of filling inside. It was well-made, the perfect shiny exterior to a soft dough. But it should be 2 for the flavor. I got the beef bun after my too-spicy Ddukbokkie didn't satisfy me. The beef inside reminded me of bulgogi beef, with a strong flavor of scallions and onions. At first it seemed hearty and filling, but then I realized that there just wastn't a lot of flavor to the meat. It was mild and tasted generic. Next time I'll have to try the other options, maybe they're better. They do seem to get a lot of business and their tiny workers carry out HUGE steamers of buns from the back.
