Had a premium experience this time around. The veg platter was really yummy ! The honey wine was great too. I have been to this place in past but this time my experience was even better and therefore upgrading the ratings !

It was my first time trying Ethiopian cusine and loved my experience at Delish. The person who helped us was very sweet and helped us understand the menu better too. They have enough seating but the place can get busy, so plan accordingly. We tried the Vegetarian platter and oh, it was so yumm. Absolutely loved it. The ambiance is great too. Overall, I had a great experience!

kids are just holding the beer, not drinking it !! they wanted pictures.

We did a quick fly-by with the kids for an early dinner on a Sunday. We're no strangers to Ethiopian cuisine but haven't had it for a long time up here in the PNW. Service was top notch, first class. And wonderful, beautiful smiles all around. Such a great vibe and layout. Wish this was available closer to home in the Eastside!

Stopped by for dinner with friends on a Friday night. The place wasnt busy and we had a reservation so we were seated and greeted. We ordered their veggie combo and doro wot. This portion was plenty for 2 ppl but it was expensive. We also tried the ethiopian beer which was nice. Service was great. Ambience not so much but food was nice but nothing out of the world. I really liked their doro wot but the rest of the veggie combo was good food but nothing amazing for me. I did feel the place was expensive though. A good place to try Ethiopian food if in the area.

Second Visit (8/17/25) We drove up from Portland specifically for dinner after an exceptional first visit back in March during our conference. We were craving the Assa Dullet, and the food was every bit as delicious as we remembered, absolutely worth the trip. Unfortunately, the service this time was a letdown. We had a 4pm reservation for three under Nikky Barr. On arrival, I was told twice there was no RSVP under my name. Only after I insisted and pulled up my confirmation did the staff acknowledge they found it, for 8/17, the correct date. This interaction felt unnecessary and off-putting, especially after a long drive. The Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony also disappointed. The staff approached us from behind without warning, carrying a skillet that was smoking with freshly roasted beans, and said nothing until we asked. Throughout dinner, we were rushed through the coffee instead of being invited to savor it. It felt unwelcoming, and neither staff member ever introduced themselves. The receipt showed "Amy" as cashier. Since Amy is the owner and also the head chef, we know for certain we did not interact with her during this visit. By contrast, our March server was warm, attentive, and truly elevated our experience. Service makes or breaks a meal, and I hope the front-of-house staff here get support on how to create the same welcoming environment consistently. The food remains fantastic, but the service on 8/17 left us disappointed and wishing it had matched the kitchen's excellence.

First of all, if I could give 10 stars I would... just wow! This is the cutest little restaurant, so clean and authentic deco, and the kindest people! It is family run and purely authentic cuisine. We got the Veggie rolls to start (omg so good) and then shared the Delish Combo which was heaven on earth. The best 2 items to share with a guest, or two. Bill for 2 of us (and we were STUFFED) and couldn't eat it all, was $65. Loads of food, flavor and the kindest service you can find. Small place, go before 6pm or make reservations. I wish we had one in Gig Harbor! Go - You will LOVE it!!!

Went with a group of six, definitely needed a reservation ahead of time as their seating options are limited. With six people we ordered veggie rolls and two delish combo platters and still had leftovers. The food was yummy with lots of different flavors. I would recommend coming here with a group larger than two people unless you prefer lots of leftovers! The service was a bit slower but the space is small and its easy to walk over and ask for something if you need it. Will definitely go again and I would love to try the coffee ceremony next!

    Meat and veg platter.

We loved our dinner! We shared the meat and veggie platter. We didn't realize a small amount of salad comes w the platter. It literally includes everything in the menu. The restaurant is small so you may want to make reservations for more than 2 people. It would be great as take out.

LOVE Delish. Ethiopian is a staple food in Seattle and this is really one of the best places to dine at. Delish and his family were so stinkin sweet to us. His two daughters were kind and gave me and my friend big hugs. Delish's wife cooks everything to perfection and we really couldn't get enough. Our server was extremely attentive and matched our energy to a T! Making amazing food and cultivating a cozy atmosphere in the Columbia City / Seattle community is no easy feat. Can't wait to be back more often and try everything possible on the menu.

Although the place it's small but it's filled with Ethiopian culture and very cozy environment. The Delish Combo was delicious but the portion of veggies are definitely more than meat. I find the taste super delicious if you mix and match all the food in the combo. For meat lovers, I'd suggest to get a meat combo with an appetizer of the veggie rolls. There's 4 different type of veggies rolled in Injera. I don't know what the sauce they used but it's phenomenal. Because they're a small establishment, all of the tables were filled and we were put in a very small round table. Since table is small, we have 3 people so we don't have much room to put a lot of food. It's an area great for coffee tasting. Here's what I ordered 1) Delish Combo (veggie combo plus meat combo) ~~~Meat - kaye wot, alicha wot, kitfo, gomen, and Ethiopian cheese. ~~~Veggies - Miser, Shiro, Ater, Fasolia, Gomen, Cabbage, Key siir, Azefa, Sufe fitfit, Tomato Salad. 2) Veggie Rolls (6pcs) Mix of yemeser wot, kik alecha, shiro, gomen rolled in Injera. 3) Ethiopian Honey Wine

The Seattle area is super fortunate to have a wealth of Ethiopian cuisine available. Amongst them, Delish is a very well-regarded establishment. We arrived on a Sunday night 6:30pm; the charming, modest place was packed. Note to self: make a reservation! We scored a couple of seats at the bar, which in hindsight, is better seating. The normal tables are low-ish vs the seats, meaning we would be bending over to eat; our backs would have been angry with us at the end of the meal. The normal tables are also modest round shapes, which would make fitting two combo platters to be challenging. Note to self: request bar seating! Our wait staff was super friendly with a fantastic smile. We studied the menu, even though we knew we are ordering the combos. The Food: Delish Special Veggie Combo, $28.20 - 5 Stars Menu: Miser, shiro, ater, Fasolia, Gommen, Cabbage, key siir, Azefa, tomato salad I end up ordering the veggie combo at pretty much any Ethiopian restaurant. The seasonings are amazing, the variety is wonderful, and every item goes so well with the injera roll (spongy bread). The colors on the planter is so wonderful! The Delish version didn't disappoint, nor did I finish my food. I ordered extra injera rolls to bring home and eat with the leftovers. Enough for two meals. Yum! Meat Combo, $33.80 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Portion of kay wot, alicha wot, kitfo, gomen, tibs, and Ethiopian cheese With meats and cheeses instead of veggies, this is hubby's standard order. Again, wonderfully seasoned in a great variety. Full disclosure that he always complains about chewy bits here and there. I always remind him not every cut of meat is tenderloin. He also didn't finish and brought home a light meal size.

The meat combo was very delicious! I would come back to try the combo next time! The space is pretty small inside but cozy! The service was okay, the people in there weren't the kindest but weren't mean either! They just kinda stared at us the entire time because the restaurant was empty and was not very welcoming when we walked in . However I would still come back just for the food! :)

    Jessica S.

Amazing food, staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is great. It's cutely decorated inside. I ordered the meat and veggie combo and that fed three of us with plenty of leftovers. The food was so good we'll definitely be back.

Per her recommendation, we ordered their popular items listed at the top of their food menu. Side note: They do not offer a meat combo, unlike many other Ethiopian restaurants. The Food: Their injera (spongy bread) is impeccable with a potent sourdough taste. Despite having had many injera in the past, theirs stood out in this regard and is incredibly flavorful as is. Unfortunately, if one doesn't like sourdough bread, this could be problematic. Each entrée includes a full-size piece of injera.
