The food is highly creative in its mix of ingredients; so fresh and delicious! One lunch we were lucky enough to score the Mussels in Spicy Broth special. I love mussels and I can't remember the last time I had such plump, perfectly-cooked mussels. The best I've had in ages! I can also recommend the KY Classic Salad that comes with two slices of the crispiest fried green tomatoes I have ever had and a slice of Babz signature cornbread, cut into 1"x4"x1" pieces and refried so they are brown and crunchy on the outside, moist and delectable on the inside. Service is excellent as you would expect in a family-owned and run place. Barbara is the daughter of the locally-famous chef Babz, for whom the restaurant is named. Barbara has clearly inherited her mother's genius for cooking and hospitality. Barbara's husband Al is there too, making all the guests feel special, while doing a great job serving the fabulous food.
