Right off the cobblestone streets with decor that takes you back to the mid 1900s, however, everything is clean and meticulously well kept. A must try if you are stopping in Maysville for the day. Hand patted hamburger was 10/10 - best I've had in a while. Fried pickles were okay, but I've had better - breading too thick for my taste, nothing special about the flavor. We discovered Delite's Downtown a few months ago when visiting family around Maysville. This restaurant is a gem! I almost want to keep it secret. On a beautiful cobblestone street in downtown Maysville playing 50's/60's music. The food is incredible. We generally have breakfast as we come early and breakfast has always been PERFECT. Gyro is a left over menu kept item from the prior establishment that has tender lamb and is enjoyable. All sides are extra. Vibe is 50's and bench seating is uncomfortable for anyone over 50. The bacon was precooked early this morning and cold. I asked for cooked bacon but not crisp I got crisp cold bacon. French toast was soggy, over medium well eggs were over medium cooked on high heat resulting in burnt edges and runny yolks. I asked for sugar free syrup, they didn't have any and felt the server became annoyed. My husband told her I was diabetic and response was oh vs offering a different choice. Drove to Maysville on a hot summer day and stopped a Delite's for lunch. My wife ordered the cheeseburger and fries, and I had the Greek Gyro and onion rings, honestly was pleasantly surprised, delicious food , especially the Gyro, was delicious! My only negative comment is regarding the measures taken to protect customers and staff during the COVID-19 outbreak. The restaurant is basically all booths which could have partitions between them to protect customers from each other. Also not one person in the restaurant had any mask on, except for an older man who works there cleaning tables. Maybe being in a small town they're not really worried about it , just thought it was weird, employee's not wearing mask. Bottom line, the food is very good, go at your own risk. read more

The food was above average, the prices are ridiculously high on some items. A tiny side salad was $6.50 and I mean tiny. A head of iceberg lettuce could have made 20 salads easily. Two tiny pieces of cucumber, a tiny amount of chopped tomato and that was it. The ingredients were room temperature. Everything was fresh though. I had the Greek Gyro (is there any other kind). It was tasty, pretty sparse on ingredients which were 3 very thin slices of lamb, pita, and tszaki sauce. My wife got the 5oz. Burger which is their BIG burger it was $10.79 no sides. That is pretty much the price you'll pay at places like Chili's O'Charleys, Applebees, Longhorn Steakhouse etc for a 1/2 pound angus burger with fries. The burger was pretty good too but nothing more than just a burger. The soda fountain at the end of the bar had a sign on it that said, free refills help yourself. The interior of the place is just plain, a few 45 old records hanging on the wall and a black and white paint job. I could not care less about that type of thing but again for the prices, it should have been more upscale. Our waitress never checked back on us, never brought a check. I finally walked up to the counter and a different waitress ask if we had the Gyro and the burger, I said yes. She gave me the price for the Gyro, (small portion), 5 oz burger, tiny portion of fries, tiny side salad and two drinks was about 34 bucks with tax. I tipped 20% but should have left nothing since the only service was take my order and deliver my food. That is pretty much the minimum you can do in a restaurant. Again we never were checked back on never got a check. All in all, the food was pretty tasty. Tiny portions, no service, no atmosphere, would not go back. Too many other places to spend far less money and get a better value. Again the food was pretty good, just not worth the money charged. read more

Above and beyond the fact that the place is usually dirty, the restrooms are often broken. The cook is disgusting. She wipes her face and doesn't wash her hands. The waitresses usually don't know the menu, get our order wrong, and are rude. I've managed many resurants in my life, and understand that businesses are like people. Just because you have 1 bad experience, it doesn't mean it's a bad place. That being said, we've been here 3 or 4 times, and the service is ALWAYS terrible. What kept us from giving 5 stars was that the food wasn't homemade. All was basically frozen foods or pre-made items. For example, I ordered the fish sandwich. It was good, but basically a triangular-shaped, pre-breaded, thin frozen fillet. The potato babies were hot and crunchy....tasty, but from frozen, not fresh. My hubby's gyro was made from packaged gyro meat.
