Went in for a wash and blow dry for an event I was going that night. I usually go to the same hairdresser(Newbury St, Boston) but didn't want to drive into the city, so I thought how bad could someone else at a different salon could screw up a blow dry, right??! WRONG! I had an appointment with Mimi, who seemed like a really nice person but did not meet my expectations. I was hoping that my blow dry would last longer if done by a professional vs myself, but what a disappointment .... especially after a paid $40 + tip for this service. Less than two hours later my hair looked worse than if I had done it myself!! Maybe I am just too picky, but will not be making the mistake to visit this place again. I went there yesterday to have my 3 year old daughter hair trimmed. They were able to take her right away (I didn't have an appointment). Ninnette's cut was an absolute disaster. It looked OK when we left (hair were still wet b/c I decline a blowdry) but a couple hours later I noticed that her hair were not even. I ask for a 1 inch trim, and now my daughter has hair at just about every length. It's longer in the front than in the back, and the back is totally uneven. I used my kitchen scissors to cut her hair a few months ago and I did a much much better job. I can't believe I paid $18 + tip for this. And I can't believe this woman makes a living cutting hair. I have gotten better cuts at supercuts. Dellaria Salons use to be a place to you could go to and expect a decent cut, but no more. The Braintree salon is totally run down and I just received the worse trim I have ever had--supercuts could have done better. I had a simple trim with an angle cut in front--a style I have been wearing for years and not too difficult to do by any half decent stylist. To put it bluntly, I received a hack job that a five year old could have done better. It is completely uneven and the lenghs on each side do not even match each other. Although I had explained in detail what I wanted, and particulars as to how my hair lays naturally, when I pointed out the very obvious problems with the cut, I received excuses, was told that it shouldn't be done the way I always get it done, and after a few obligatory snips to try to correct it, I just told the stylist to forget it and I will fix it myself later. After I washed my hair the bad cut was even worse than I thought. Additionally the stylist used a flat iron that was so bad it was snagging my hair and pulling it out. While she was using the iron I kept picking up the clumps of hair that had been pulled out and showed her, but she did not notice, or care. There was no way she could not feel the snagging of the hair as it happened with every section of hair she did. Of course while I was there the stylist made a product recommendation for a product she was using on my hair, which has become normal place for the Braintree Dellaria, probably at a management requirment, and which I have learned to ignore, but this particular product was so bad, within hours of leaving the salon my hair felt greasy and weighed down like it had not been washed in days. read more

Danielle Oakley is my hair stylist here for the last 3 years, and I've ALWAYS been extremely happy with the results. She's very personable and kind, and gives great haircuts. I usually try to keep the long length and do layers throughout. She has also colored my hair with beautiful results. I've gone blonde, blonde with low lights and red highlights, and red. I had an eyebrow and lip wax. The technician took a chunk of my eyebrow in the middle out. No way to fix it. I have brown hair. She put black makeup on to fix the "hole" so I can walk out but it just looked worse. I had to walk over to Macy's make up counter to buy an eyebrow pencil to go fill it in. Needless to say I did not pay for any of the waxing services. I've never had hair or any other services done there but I would not recommend this place. I will never go back. read more

Went in 3/12/18 for a full foil to brighten up the blonde i already had and walked out with yellow/orange blotchy hair! The guy didn't even tone my hair or put any product in it. I'm not a mean person at all. But I was there on a Saturday afternoon not long ago and got with out question one of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten in my life. The only reason I'm even giving 2 stars is because the Stylist was really nice but truthfully needs to go back to School and Learn how to do hair. DO NOT GO HERE. Steven, and every other "colorist" that Dellaria employs, is a TALENTLESS CLOWN. He turned my gorgeous cool blonde hair completely orange because he had ZERO CLUE about what he was doing. They offered for me to meet with another colorist to fix it who was "excellent" and "trains all of our colorists!" LOL!!!! By all means Dellaria, ask me to come in so this guy's TEACHER can do even more damage!!! Any "master colorist" worth their salt does not take icy cool blonde and turn it BRIGHT ORANGE. Oh, not to mention the fact that this place is apparently a daycare for their employees too. I sat there for 3 hours while a toddler ran around yelling, screaming and spilling her snacks everywhere. I made a last minute appointment for a Sunday afternoon. I have a 10 month old son and my hair has only been cut once since he was born. All I needed was a trim and JP did a great job. He added some longer layers to give my hair a little style, but still left everything long enough to be pulled back into a ponytail. Overall very happy with the cut and the service - better than a few other places I have tried since moving to the area. read more

I wish i could give this place and all their locations zero starts. They are a scam and people please be aware the their product return policy doesn't exist as they state they do while trying to sell you to buy anything. My review is solely on products they sale and not their salon. I went to the burlington store and purchase products from them one of them didn't work for my hair and as the person who sold me told me that I could exchange them at any location and for any products or store credit I felt confident while buying. Unfortunately not how the story goes. I return a product to their Braintree location with receipt and since they don't carry Oribe products I decided to take store credit that they offered me. The sales person took my information and told me that anytime I would like to use my credit I could give them my information and would be able to use. Not the case. Apparently my name is not on their system and when I tried to reach out to their corporate office Jamie, their office person hang up in my face. I would never come anywhere near a dishonest place like this ever again and nor will my family after being scammed. Be aware people! read more

Had a major problem with this salon years ago. So had not been back. Well needed hair products since Regis closed and did not feel like going to Ulta decided to go in. Walk in on a Friday night no one in there. Girl behind counter has her phone up to her face. Does not even greet me. I say hello first. Start looking at products. Not asked if I need any help. Also see two hair dressers sitting by in back . Neither has customers. They also don't offer me help. They were able to give me a same day appointment on a Saturday. There seem to be many stylists working there on a Saturday. Fernando colored, trimmed and used a hair dryer to blow dry straight. They charged me $130 and it was nothing special. I normally try to hold off washing my hair for 6-7 days after a blow out but the hair color smell was so strong that I felt dirty and had to wash my hair on Monday. Ok but not such a great value. I usually pay $80 and I have paid as little as $60 for the exact same service. The cleanliness of the salon was only mediocre. read more

Eric is the only one who does it exactly like I want it, wich is not easy with my very thick long hair. He always gives perfect highlights and cut off only how much I WANT, not how much he wants. My son has been seeing Charbel for several years now. Always a perfect cut. His hair is medium length like Bradley Cooper. His hair was so nicely done that when his senior portrait photos were taken, the photographer asked where it was done...told me she sees all sorts of haircuts and my son's was fabulous. She even uses my son's photo in her advertising and she is an award winning photographer. My son is constantly complimented on his hair and asked where he has it styled. I was coming on to write a nice review as I had just called there to change an appt. and the receptionist was so pleasant as always,...and I was thinking...that is great customer service...I should yelp about it, and Charbel...... and I was shocked to see a poor review of Charbel. I purchased two special edition sizes of Moroccan Oil Curl Control Mousse from this location two or three months ago. The first one worked fine, however the pump on the second one stopped working after one use. I tried fixing it myself with no luck. If you've purchased Moroccan Oil products you know they're not cheap. I didn't care to loose out on $20 worth of mousse. I brought the bottle back in to exchange it for one that works. I explained that I don't have the receipt b/c I had used the other bottle with no problem...who keeps their receipts for hair products from a couple months ago? The woman at the front desk quickly points out their policy that they cannot accept returns without a receipt. It seemed like she didn't even listen to my problem. She also tells me how does she know that I didn't buy the product some where else. That's lovely - to insinuate that you don't trust your customers. It wasn't like I was trying to get money back. I just wanted a bottle that works correctly. She begrudgingly switched out the bottles after I further pushed the issue. I appreciate that she did it, but it could have been a much better experience. I mentioned she may want to consider being more opened minded about the policy when a customer is trying to bring something back that doesn't work correctly. They should stand by the quality of the products they sell. I understand the rules, but I worked in customer service for years and would have never expected someone to keep a product that does not work. If she was more understanding I would go back there to purchase my hair products going forward (myself and my daughters spend A LOT on hair products), I would have told friends about how helpful they were rather than complaining about their lack of customer service skills. People in customer service don't seem to get that good service brings in more customers and bad service does not. Clearly, she was able to bend on their policy. She could have been more accommodating. It seems like sometimes people with a little authority just like to say, "no." read more

I'm giving this salon two stars only because I've had good experiences there the two times before I used them for hairstyling. This time around I asked to be scheduled for an updo for a wedding I was going to. Unfortunately I couldn't remember the names of the past stylists I had so I let them choose for me. I got someone who: 1. Didn't know what they were doing... 2. Burned my hair at the point that I could smell it and my friend across the way could smell it. 3. Was very rough with the washing as though I hadn't washed it in a year. 4. Gave me attitude when I asked for my hair to be washed. 5. Gave me an updo that looked nothing like the picture that I showed...I would have settled if it was pretty but it looked like a cartoon character. I wish I could post pics. 6. Got attitude when I said it didn't look right. 7. The hairdresser was more focused on arranging her lunch and left 3 times to take care of it. 9. When she tried to fix my hair it became even worse so I gave up and decided to leave the salon. 10. She acted like she "fixed" it and as soon as I got in the car there were pins sticking out of my hair and all of it fell out. I've been trying to contact the manager. I have called three times and none of the times was the manager in the store. It's either a lie or the manager really doesn't work at all...no wonder I got the worst $50 hair care experience that I've ever had. read more

This was a terrible experience, came here because they had an opening. $65 for the worst trim of my life. No products used, no straightening or styling, blow dryed my hair using fingers not even a brush. The place was filthy. I sat in someone's hair all over the seat. The manager (I think) was talking about how he has a girlfriend on the side the entire time, extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. Run FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!! read more

Natalie here does a terrific job. She is experienced, and much quicker than I'm used to, but I have to say her cuts are rock solid! The first couple times I saw her, she listened and did exactly as I asked - just a trim and not too much off. The last time I was ready for something new, and asked her advice. She immediately said what I was thinking (truly like she was psychic!) which was bangs! The cut she then gave me was PERFECT, and I am so glad I have finally found a stylist that not only listens to me, but that I can rely for good advice. Plus no attitude. She's chatty, but not over-dramatic, and will keep the conversation where you steer it. She talked me in to highlights for the next visit, so we'll see how that goes! ;) read more

I booked an appointment for my daughter to get a Deva Cut with Eryk. When we arrived I was told that Eryk was running late and that I would have to wait another 30 minutes. We waited and when he finally took her in he looked at her hair very confused and he didn't seem to know how to do her type of her. His suggestion was to cut off all her hair so he clearly did not know how to do the Deva Cut and if he has done this cut before he certainly has never done it on a person of color with more coarse hair. A real professional stylist would have apologized and admitted that he did not know how to do her type of hair instead of telling us that the only way to fix her hair was to cut off all her hair. read more

Worst experience in a salon. First off, the place itself was disgusting and filthy. Hair and product residue everywhere- not sure they even know how to sweep or wipe things down. The brushes that were attempted to be used still had other people's hair on there. Then I asked for a little layer/ bang on one side and instead, I have a chunk of hair I now have to tie back until it grows. Then, to top it off, I go to checkout and I was charged for services I didn't request. It was deceptive and in poor customer service. If you're looking to sit in a filthy salon, be treated rudely, and pay for things you didn't ask for, you're heading to the right place. I emailed management afterwards and received no response. I'm a regular customer of this salon. Always asking to be attended by Danielle. She has understood better than anyone how to make my color and highlights. She has a soft and elegant touch in everything she does. For me, she is the best. I'm going to this salon only because her. But, Danielle is not always available, and I think that I had been treated by almost all the professionals at the salon. Some better, some worse...but always more or less happy. Until I meet this "JP". I Asked for a root color and partial highlights. I said that I had a very important event so please do a good job. He asked me if I wanted the same tone and same highlights and I answer "yes". What this person did was to cover ALL MY HAIR and not just the roots, with this new brown color, ruining all Danielle's job for almost one year or more, and all the money that I paid for that. I'm 45 years old, and I cried when I saw the results like a teenager. I could not believe what he dare to do with my hair...before I had beautiful highlights more blond on the ends and darker at the root, the health of my hair was excellent and shinning... I asked him to please fix the disaster. Of course he do full process highlights, chunky and starting at the middle of my head, trying to simulate the gradient effect that I had before. The result was a mess. Broken hair, really bad work. Of course this cost me like 300USD!! and he treated me like if all this were my fault. I felt cheated and robbed and with my hair all ruined. Please, never let this person work your hair NEVER. It is a shame. He ruin my day and my vacations. read more

I will never set foot in this place ever again. DELLARIA IN THE SSP IS THE WORST SALON EVER. My hairdresser of 5 years moved to another salon, & I was unable to make an appointment with her before the weekend (I am going away & wanted to have my hair done). A friend (or is she?) suggested Eric at Dellaria. I figured - what the heck. I've never had a problem with a hair before, & it might be a nice change. BIG MISTAKE. The reason why I've never had a problem was because I have always gone to the same hairdresser. I was given a lukewarm greeting, & then Eric comes out and pulls at my hair & asks me what I want to do. The salon itself was not very nice. There was hair all over the ground & I felt as though I were walking through some nasty salon the projects. He goes to mix my color & then does my partial foil in about 5 minutes. I KID YOU NOT. Then he throws me under the dryer, where white chunks of paint fall on top of me. He ushers me over to the sink to wash my hair, & the whole experience feels very unsanitary as he's splashing water all over me. Before he even turns on the faucet, the receptionist walks over to him & loudly says "Danielle's here." As in, HURRY UP. Excuse me, but I believe I am a paying client just like Danielle. He quickly washes my hair then cuts it in the most bizzare manner I have ever seen. He pulls at it & knifes at it like he's in a shrub pruning race. Then he says "Would you hate me if I didn't blowdry your hair, it's just, they overbooked me & I don't want to keep the other client waiting." EXCUSE ME, but what about me?! I am paying you the same amount, I am not in there for a free cut & I am DEFINITELY not a 2nd class citizen. I was so angry and giving him death glares through the mirror. I ask him how much time they alloted for me & he says they never give a lot of time. I leave there with an EXTREMELY uneven cut, wet hair & on the verge of tears. I usually go to Supercuts to get my hair trimmed but I went in here because I was gonna get an actual hair cut and wanted someone good (my hair was halfway down my back and I was gonna have it cut short up to my shoulders). I don't really remember the hair stylist's name. It was something like Tee, Tae or maybe TJ? She was a white women with blonde hair. Anyways, she was amazing! She could tell I was kinda nervous because it was my first time going so short. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was really helpful and gave me some suggestions. She took really good care of me. As she was cutting my hair, she would check in wit me to see if I liked the length which I really appreciate! And as for my hair, it looked soooo good! It still looks good. After cutting it, she blow dried it and made some curls for me. They looked amazing. I got so many compliments that day from strangers. It's been almost 2 months and I can't seem to do it the way she does. So if you're planning on cutting your hair short or getting it styled, go to her! read more

I called to schedule an appointment with lee for Monday. I was told that she didn't work on Monday. My friend saw Lee and her hair was amazing!!!! I explained to the receptionist that I am black with curly hair and I need a trim and a flat iron. She proceeded to tell my that Jenny could do it. Then switched and said John would be a better stylist for what I want. I reluctantly with with John. I get there for my appointment and John says that he doesn't do irons at all. Roller wraps and that kinda thing were his specialty. They called Jenny to see if she would be comfortable doing my hair..... What about am I comfortable with Jenny doing my hair. I declined the appointment and am astonished. The receptionist told me that she's Asian so she can do it. I am used to a white lady doing my hair..., what does race have to do with it. This place is the worst! I usually goto a different salon but my regular hair dresser has been booked for months and I really needed a cut and color. DO NOT GO TO COLETTE! First off when she was coloring my hair she only did the roots and I had to say to her.. " How is the rest of my hair going to be the same color if you didn't put die in it?" So then she proceed to put more color in through out my hair. As a hair dresser why would you only be dying the roots when I came in to get my HAIR COLORED??? Then the worst was when she cut my hair. I told her I wanted some layers but not many and about 2.5- 3 inches taken off. She cut at least 6 inches off and the layers were not blended together it just look like 2 different hair lengths. I express that I was not happy and she just kept cutting but was not fixing the problem. She seemed annoyed at me because I was complaining about the cut. She was blaming me because she said I said I didn't want layers. REALLY is that how this place solves unhappy customers by blaming them because there hair dressers have no idea what the they are doing... Finally I had to say I don't want you to cut my hair anymore! She then got another girl to come over and fix it. The other girl was very nice and did what she could to fix Colette awful hair cut. I am still not happy with the cut but at least its blended together and doesn't look like my 5 year old cousin cut my hair. I did not get charged for the hair but seriously this lady needs to get some more training on how to cut hair because she gave me the worst hair cut I have ever gotten! Also when she was blow drying my hair she kept using her fingers ... every time I have ever gotten a hair cut the hair dresser always blows it out with a brush... ONE SIDE THREE INCHES SHORTER THAN THE OTHER. I had a bad haircut 9 months ago at Dellaria and never thought I would go back--but I did--and I received the worst haircut I have ever had. I have medium/long hair. I like the front angled. The haircutter (she certainly could not be called a stylist), before washing, lobbed off rough angle cuts in the front. I thought she was just cutting to get an idea of what I was looking for and I brought up how rough the cuts were but I assumed that sure she would fix them after the washing. After washing, she did not fix the angle cut and just trimmed the bottom--when done, the right side of which was a good 3" shorter than the left. Very noticeable, and she did not have a problem with it. She felt she was done and started to put finishing product in hair and I brought up the angle cuts--so after she had blown the hair dry she had me stand up and further lobbed off the angled area--it got worse from there. I went home, washed my hair to see how bad the hair laid naturally--I intended to go to another salon to get it fixed, but it was so bad I could not wait so I went back and got another person to fix it. The new person recognized how bad the cut was and it took her over 30 minutes of cutting to fix the butcher cut, and the result came out prettying good-especially with what she had to work with. I went in for a trim of 1 1/2 inches, and by the time the cut was fixed, I had a 5" cut. SHOCKS ME HOW THEY COULD LET SUCH A BLATANT HACK JOB OUT OF THE SALON. read more
