Delma's offers great food and friendly service. I have been there twice this week. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times my food was great. Breakfast was a western omelette with a side of scrapple. Hot tea and glass of water. Nice fluffy omelette and the scrapple was very good. Lunch was the fried flounder sandwich with fries and Cole slaw. Could not have been better! You are treated as family here and while the atmosphere may not be the ritz the prices aren't either. Had a great breakfast at this little Cafe. Its atmosphere is bare bones and basic. Not sure about the slot machines in the corner but it is what it is. Food is decent and is a good value. Service wise, our waitress was attentive and took our order quickly so food could be delivered quickly. The owner/manager/another server came over to talk to and thank us for coming in. It honestly does have an auto shop smell for the first few minutes but SURPRISE, it's next to one. You get used to it and/or don't notice it after a bit. It didn't both me or my party. Came hungry, left hungrier...... Took 20 minutes to have our order taken. Simple breakfast order... biscuit, toast, sausage patty, grits, home fries and a side of gravy. 45 minutes later no food... so we are over an hour in. Food finally came out and was wrong. I tried to pay for my drinks and leave, but they didn't let me pay. Left hungry. Won't be back unfortunately. I hope they can figure out what's slowing them down, it was not even busy. read more

Their corned beef hash is the best I've ever had (and I've had a LOT of corned beef hash). Order it extra crispy with home fries, two eggs over easy, and a biscuit. It all comes in a perfectly sized bowl of scrumptious happiness. The corned beef is in chopped slices and the potatoes thinly sliced with just enough crunch. My wife and I sat down were given a menu and we did not see our server again for 20 minutes. The entire restaurant smells unpleasantly like the mechanic shop next door, and the slot machines are loudly playing music in the corner of the room. I ordered the corn beef hash, I asked for it extra crispy, and she had the bacon grilled cheese sandwich. After waiting for an additional 30 minutes the food arrived. Best cafe in the area. We can walk in and get the very best service and yummy food. It isn't a fancy building. Actually - it is in same building as an auto place. You can get your car inspected and pick up a nice lunch. The owners family and the servers are so sweet. read more

This is the former Lottsburg cafe... we understand that the Nephew took over and named it after his mother Delma; hence Delma's Family Cafe. The new Decor is cute and brings a beach vibe. The menu is still your down home food, but has a foodie flair... While we waiting for our brunch we got these complimentary incredible mini pancake like donuts. Soooo delishes we asked for a couple more. Our order was the Chesapeake Omelette, grits, & bacon. The omelette was light and fluffy with fresh crab meat not imitation & the perfect amount of cheese not to over whelm the crab taste... the grits were homemade and just creamy enough to hit the spot! Yum! 2nd order: buttermilk pancakes with sausage. We got 3 fluffy pancakes and boy were they delish & you can tell the sausage patty was homemade and that made a great difference as they were moist and juicy and not hard like frozen Patties when you cook them. 3rd order: Edward's Surry Sausage Gravy with sausage... this did not disappoint and probably one of our favorites. This bisque was homemade and fresh and that sausage gray was light and NOT heavy, but so delicious. Both were made from scratch daily and it shows when we all fought over the gravy... They have breakfast & lunch and will start serving dinner soon. Do not come here if you want fast food service, but come here if you are looking for a casual homemade meal and a slow paced & relaxing atmosphere. Went in this morning for breakfast. It took 10 minutes for someone to notice I was sitting there. Then ordered my water and coffee and the sausage gravy breakfast. 45 minutes later another person came by my table to tell me that they were out of sausage gravy. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. It took 45 more minutes to get it. In the 2 hours I was there for a breakfast sand which - I was poured 2 cups of coffee. This used to be so fast and so good. Not sure what happened with the new ownership. I can make a better sandwich in a fraction of the time at home! read more

Small family restaurant in Lottsburg. Under new ownership. Doing great breakfast! Unique dinners on the weekend. Clean place to grab a sandwich or breakfast. Still working on timing and getting orders out quickly but the quality of food is worth waiting for. read more

Nice folks and the interior is clean. Service is slow. Some of the food was good but other items were pretty bad. Meatloaf was like dogfood. My husband had baked chicken which was fine but then they put generic brown gravy on his mashed potatoes instead of making real chicken gravy. Sort of clueless. read more

So we went twice. Both times we got our drinks within 10min of sitting, which is fine. However both times it took them 20 min to order and 45-60 min to get food. This last time got our appetizer with the food. Fried pickle chips, batter was so salty couldn't eat them. Cheesy fries, they didnt take the time to melt the cheese. Onion crisps were ok but salty as well. So the better part is it seems they make their own batter, down side is they don't check its quality before serving. So sad we live so close and won't be returning. Honestly there were about 4-5 women in the back running the show, they were more interested in karaoke with the cook than getting food out. One waitress stood out tho. She was waiting on tables the other girl was neglecting, sweeping floors, washing tables and working the register. She was the superstar of the place. The rest should be let go so they can go home and sing in the shower. 11am-12:25 not worth it. read more
