When I walked in someone asked if I needed help, and I explained what I was looking for. Actually, I explained it three times because the person seemed to have trouble either hearing me or understanding English. I can't put my finger on it, but it was a bit frustrating. I first asked if they had assortment boxes and she went to check. She came back and said no, so I asked for specific sizes which she had to check. Finally, she brought everything they had out. I asked for two packages in each of the two sizes I needed, but they only had one of each so I bought both. Their credit card machine wasn't working right and it took multiple tries with multiple cards to get the deal done. I had some free time while they were searching for stuff so I looked around. This place sells a motley collection of things such as tools (wrenches, saws), hardware (caster wheels, chain), adhesives (caulk, Loctite), and power tools. Many of the things had a coating of dust, and nothing was priced out. For a place like this, customer service is important. Not only did it take them 20 minutes to get my transaction done, but another commercial customer who needed help couldn't get the information he needed on some products. Did I mention that there were 5 employees in the store this morning, but they were more interested in the Halloween donuts that someone had brought in. I should have just bought the stuff online. McMaster Carr has the same things for seven times less. Service is fast. Payment is easy. I can only recommend coming here if you know what you need, know that they have it, are willing to pay cash, and have some free time.

When we first walked in, my thoughts were, 'they're not going to have plumbing parts...' I was totally wrong. This hardware store has it all - everything you expect in a local hardware store and then some. The entry to the store is filled with unique items for your home, trinkets, and gifts. It's a visual delight. Then you get into the heart of the store and there you'll find housewares and small appliances, landscape supplies, light bulbs...the list goes on. They even offer refills of cleaning supplies for environmentally conscious shoppers. Don't forget about upstairs which houses the plumbing supplies amongst other things. I needed some items and decided that I would try and get here on the way home from work before they closed at 6PM. I made it in time, they helped me select exactly what I needed, and I left happy. If you need 20+ items for a big construction project, lots of lumber, or various types of custom colored paint this might not be the right store. This does not happen at the HOME DEPOT. I recommend if you want to avoid financing fees of 29.99% at Grossman's either don't get it on sale or just go to HOME Depot or Lowe's, anywhere but this retailer. It was extremely challenging removing our old hot tub because of where it was located. The old tub was sitting on an 8 foot high deck that had a 3 and a half foot iron railing that the tub had to be lifted over. And then lowered onto their trailer. They went over and above the call of duty and didn't damage our deck or landscaping. This was a very hard job and was done in 92 muggy degrees. Their prices are great and their service is 5 star.
