The streets have been buzzing about Delray Pizza for quite some time now. I've long heard tales about an inconspicuous pizza shop buried in a shopping plaza on federal, dishing out the best NY pizza in south Florida. After just one visit, I can confirm the rumors are in fact true... Delray pizza is the real deal! The drunken grandma is even better than advertised. Mozzarella, vodka sauce, and cup n char pepperoni. A beautiful marriage of ingredients, perfectly executed. The vodka sauce and the cup char are the stars of this show. My entire family tore it up! Even my wife, who is not a lover of pizza, had to submit to its legitimacy. Perhaps I should wait to try a few different slices or a few more visits before singing Delray Pizza's praises, especially a traditional NY style. 5 stars for now, we'll figure out the rest later! This coming from a Neapolitan and Detroit style enthusiast, but when it's good...it's good.

This evening we ordered a Alla vodka pizza + mushroom topping. It was ready to collect within 20 minutes and we picked up around 6:45 PM. When we got home, it was still nice and hot. Crunchy crust melted cheese and perfectly cooked mushrooms. Pick up this evening was very easy and quick. There was no line. The cashier took my payment and immediately my pizza was handed over to me. Their pizza is closer to Brooklyn style and always a delicious treat. Parking is slim out front so sometimes you have to walk a little bit through the parking lot to get to the location for pick up but completely worth it.

I consider myself a Sicilian pizza snob and they serve some really good Sicilian pizza here. We really enjoyed our Sicilian cheese which came with 12 large slices.

    Awesome boom!!!!!!!should go viral!!!

Just popped in for a few slices of upside down Sicilian. Awesome . And on wY out got into a New Jersey Turnpike mess. Pinwheel of chicken tenders. Philly cheese steak. French fri. With ketchup/ mayo

I love NY style pizza, and the pizza here is fantastic! Your typical cheese pizza is def a good go-to for here. I also tried a slice of the sinatra, which was just as good! I love that they have a ton of different options to try.

Ordered pizza, and salad. To go. I was afraid to have it delivered because time was of the essence. We also ordered cauliflower pizza with eggplant and mushrooms .That wasn't the best of pizzas but we gave it a go. I'm glad to have them local in the hood. allocated in the Walmart shopping plaza.

My husband said this was the best pizza he's had in SoFlo and trust me -- that guy knows his way around a pepperoni pie. The slices were huge, you could tell they use fresh ingredients, and the dough was cooked perfectly! Will definitely be ordering from them again.

Fantastic! I love a good pizza joint and this place just got added to the roster. The vodka pizza was excellent and packed with great flavor. My family has tried many of their other flavors as well and said they are all AMAZING. I wouldn't call myself a wing connoisseur, but I do know my way around good garlic parm wings. Maybe we got a bad batch, but I wasn't impressed by the wings and they were a little dry. I'd say skip the wings and focus on the main act because their pizza is YUM!!!

Second time ordered the whole drunken grandma pizza, and one slice white onion minus the bagel seasoning.

Delray Pizza has roasted pork that you can get on pizza- and it's delicious! That with caramelized onions was very good. Personally my favorite even though I couldn't figure out how to order extra pork. My husbands favorite is drunken grandma. The pepperoni (?) is spicy enough that I didn't need to add red pepper flakes. With both delivery orders we ordered one large pizza And one slice of another flavor to try something else. The first slice sample was drunken grandma and it was good but dry & kind of old or over cooked yet tasted really good- so we ordered that the next time we ordered Delray Pizza. The second time was a white with onion "slice" to sample minus the everything seasoning. Man that was delicious for a white pizza! I would order that large except it's not my husband's preferred pizza. In the photo the white slice is smaller than it came, because I cut some off to share with my husband. Texture wise you get pretty thin, crispy chewy crust. Flavors are great. Highly recommend trying Delray pizza. Oh And I don't know if they have a way to control who gets the delivery (uber, or door dash) but we weren't thrilled that our pizza went for a uber ride somewhere south of us first to another delivery location before getting back north to us, cold and almost 25 minutes after leaving Delray Pizza - when they are only 9-10 minutes from the house. Would prefer door dash who always seems faster but I don't know if we can request that when ordering online for delivery.

Was driving in the area and really wanted pizza by the slice. I'm from Long Island so when I walked in I was happy to see the layout. It wasn't a sit down and order sort of place it was a real pizza place. You walk in to the counter see all the pies order and sit. Amazing, you don't really find that down here in Florida. Next the staff were so kind. They were very friendly and attentive when we walked in. The pizzas all looked amazing I could've eaten all of them. Not sure if you would say it's more NY pizza or NJ but it was good. Definitely will be coming back, my husband and I fell in love with their buffalo slices. Great specials too. Overall would I go back yes absolutely and I will Rating: 10/10 perfect no complaints on compliments.

This is a great place! Need a quick slice this is your spot all sorts of verities from drunken grandma to sicilian, to pinwheels! The staff is amazing also. Jess behind the counter is such a genuinely good hearted person, tonight I watched her help an elderly gentleman that walked with a cane very unstable, when the skies opened up and the rain began to pour she took his keys and went out in the storm and pulled his car up for him! If thats not top notch service then I don't know what is! Great place! Great pizza great people! A must try!!!

Those that Follow My Reviews....Know that my Recommendations are pretty much On-Point, hence the hundreds of thousands of Vews on my Pictures and Commentary. You also know I'm an expert at all that's Pizza.... Particularly Upside Down Sicilian Squares. Takeaways: In South Florida, this comes the closest in 33 years to Brooklyn's L&B Spumoni Gardens square slice in South Florida. The sauce is Chunky, a mix of sweet/salty, with the grated cheese with olive oil...and the dough was cooked through and through. Next time, will suggest the thinner Sicilian Grandma Crust (Only to lower my Carb intake). Overall: ....The Owners/Brothers make the Pies, so Quality is "In Check Always". Come for the "Aha" Moment. Fully Recommend, Boca Dave, from Brooklyn.

New York extra cheese, curl pepperoni, Drunken Grandma with extra cheese.

Happy hour runs from 3-6 PM and is possibly one of the best deals offered on the Ave. For drinks, I tried their version of an espresso martini, which was excellent, along with the strawberry martini that was sweet, refreshing, and easy to enjoy. For food, we ordered two pizzas: the La Vodka and the Margherita. Both were delicious, flavorful, and very filling. My only complaint was related to another group of customers rather than the restaurant itself. A couple meeting up with a friend brought an infant and stroller and attempted to sit directly at the bar. While they were trying to maneuver into the corner, I was repeatedly bumped and kicked in the back by the child. I completely understand people wanting to enjoy themselves, but if bringing children to a bar area, it's important to be mindful of the limited space, other guests around you and realize it's inappropriate to have minors at the bar.

The pizza was phenomenal: perfectly crisp edges, a fluffy interior, and loaded with flavor in every bite. We went with a group of eight, and while the experience was still great, it's probably not ideal for larger parties--we ended up having to sit outside, which worked fine, but it's something to keep in mind if you're planning a bigger gathering. The standout was the pizza special with burrata (seriously, delicious). Everything we tried was excellent, and the quality easily justifies the hype. Unfortunately, after driving 40 minutes to get there, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We arrived around 6:20 PM on Saturday, May 30th. The restaurant appeared to have roughly six open tables in a dining room of about fifteen tables. A party ahead of us was seated immediately (perhaps they had a reservation), but when we approached the host stand, we were told the wait would be 40 minutes. There was no visible crowd waiting, but okay, fair enough. The host mentioned we could be seated outside immediately. With storm clouds rolling in and the Florida humidity doing its thing, we politely declined and asked to be added to the waitlist. While we were putting our name down, the party that had just been seated inside got up and moved outside. Naturally, I asked if that changed anything. The answer was still "40 minutes." I'm not a mathematician, but that one was hard to follow. We stepped outside to find somewhere nearby to wait. There wasn't really anything in the plaza, and I noticed I never received a confirmation text. Since most restaurants using waitlists send some type of confirmation these days, I had a bad feeling and decided to go back in to verify my information. A different hostess was at the stand. I explained that I wanted to confirm my phone number because I hadn't received a text. She looked at the tablet and said, "I got you." Okay... but I wasn't asking if you had me. I was asking if you had my number. Again, I asked to confirm it. Again, I was told, "You're good." So my wife and I went back to our car and waited. Forty minutes came and went. Nothing. At around 7:15 PM, my wife noticed they were on OpenTable and made a reservation for 7:30 PM just in case. By 7:20 PM, I decided to walk back inside and check on our status. This is where things went completely off the rails. Both hosts looked up our name and, with surprising enthusiasm, informed us that they had canceled our place on the waitlist. Why? Because they had supposedly texted and called us with no response. I asked what number they contacted. Turns out the number was wrong by one digit. The same phone number I had specifically come back inside to verify. The same phone number that nobody actually verified. When I reminded the hostess that I had literally come back to confirm my number and was told, "I got you," she seemed completely unfazed. The other host then insisted that he had read the number back to me and that I had confirmed it. After telling my wife what he claimed, she told me that not only had he read the number back correctly, but she had repeated it correctly to him as well. So the information was clearly correct at that point, which makes it seem like the number was changed before the reservation was saved. At that point I asked to speak with a manager. To his credit, he came over quickly. Unfortunately, instead of immediately focusing on solving the problem, the initial response felt more focused on defending what had happened. What frustrated me most wasn't the mistake itself. Mistakes happen. It was the lack of ownership and the lack of a solution. After waiting nearly an hour because of an error made by the restaurant, I had to repeatedly ask what the plan was. Even then, the answer was essentially, "Maybe another 20 minutes. I'm not really sure." That's where the experience completely fell apart for me. A simple: "I'm sorry. Let me get you seated outside with a drink while we get an indoor table ready." Or: "We made a mistake. You're next for the first available table." Or even: "I understand why you're upset. Let me see what I can do to make this right." Any of those responses would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left feeling like I was inconveniencing everyone by expecting a solution to a problem they created. As we were leaving, the manager followed us outside and said he wanted to help if we were willing to work with him. The problem was that even then, there still wasn't an actual solution being offered. At that point, after nearly an hour of waiting, multiple missed opportunities to verify information, a canceled spot on the waitlist, and no clear path forward, we decided to leave. I drove 40 minutes to try this restaurant and never even got the chance to order a drink. That's impressive in its own way.

DISAPPOINTING PIZZA…read more.. A 3am pizza parlor in a perfect trendy location near Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. Bright red illuminated "Mama's Up All Night" name proudly affixed to the front exterior wall. Relaxed front patio table seating but mainly a grab & go custom pizza concept offering slices. A few little red tables inside hugging a massive chalk board with childish chalk drawings and words as a part of the simple ambiance. The front counter displayed several sicilian and NY style pizzas loaded with mouthwatering toppings. So far everything looked promising. The two female employees were friendly and one cut me a slice of cheese pizza and slid it into the stainless steel commercial double oven for a few minutes. Paid a premium price of $4.75 but the slice was oversized. At this point everything went south quickly. Out of my view, the wife took one bite of the pizza and gave me a strange look and told me to try it. Hesitated for a second, then chomped down on the front of the slice and instantly thought my taste buds were shot so took a second bite and told my wife it was completely tasteless with no crunch to the undercarriage either. My wife said it was horrible and sadly I agreed. Based on the first glance of the slice and the welcoming decor, I was anticipating a great slice of pizza. As a self-proclaimed pizza enthusiast with over one hundred pizza reviews, this was the first time I threw a slice of pizza into the garabge as the employees peered in confusion. Not even sure how a slice can have zero flavor, this was a first. I'm curious what brand of garlic, sauce and cheese were used to produce the bland effect. Wonderful spot for a late night drunken stuper with no concern for a tasty slice but honestly thats it - Buyer Beware. The gender neutral bathroom was open to customers only but had a sign posted that the toilet was broken which was only to deter drunks. The bathroom was basic with large tile flooring and partially painted walls.
