We ordered and picked up the Sicilian (cheese & sauce) pie and it was huge! The box was heavier than I could have ever expected. The pie looked amazing and it was really good, however a bit too much garlic and burnt ends for our tastebuds. We parked in the lot in the back and entered through the back door. Service was very welcoming and we got our pie in no time. They do not accept cash, credit card only. There are a couple of tables to sit and eat. Great pizza! We ordered 1/2 meat lovers and 1/2 buffalo chicken. 9/10. No flop, thin crust and ever so light. Only negative is that store is a hole-in-a-wall mainly for beach goers. I always prefer a place that has a per slice option since it's please more, plus gives you a chance to try more options. This was absolutely delicious "no-flop" pizza!!! Pizza was okay, but they could tone down the amount of Parm they use in their cheese blend and balance it by adding a little Parm as a nice finisher with some olive oil when it comes out of the oven. They could also brush out the oven better before launching pies, I had burnt bits on the bottom of my pie that weren't from my pizza. Fix both and you'll earn 5-stars next time. read more

I really had a very bad experience at Peter's pizzeria. Service is literally too worse. Those people are bloody raciest behavior. I went to pick up a pizza. I asked for a restroom key. The guy at the counter said it was out of service. Okay, I was quietly waiting for my pizzas to pick up other guy said my order will take 10 minutes. So I was waiting. 5 minutes later there was two ladies came into the store and requested for a restroom key. And the guy gave it to them right in-front of me with no fucking shame. I was argued with them regarding of key. They said we won't allow people to use restroom on weekends. Then why did he give it to them. I felt really bad about it. I had never faced this kind of situation before OMG crazy. This was happened on Sunday 24 may around 8 to 9 pm between. Those people have no idea about customer service. Second time is definitely a better charm. First off i actually met the owner Peter and what a sweet guy !!! He gave me details and awesome suggestions. Pretty upset i didn't take a picture because it all smelled so good My favorite : the grandma . Even cold it tasted delish. The Cecilian was a little overwhelming for me but if you like a cheesy cheese pizza then it's a definite must. The sauce is very delicious. The Buffalo chicken was decent but not my favorite . The TL:DR, you want to get pizza here. Earlier this week, I received a text message from Nick Pasquale Marrone, the son of George Marrone, who founded Pasquale's pizza chain in South Florida. I hadn't heard from Nick in a few years since I wrote about him taking over as the head of Pasquale's in Coral Springs, which serves as the chain's flagship. Nick had a motorcycle accident a few years ago (he likes fast pocket rockets) and was unable to work for a long time. Nick has returned from his setback and is now the head pizzaiolo at Peter's Pizzeria in East Boca. According to him, he now prepares his best pizzas ever because the owner, the young Peter Izzo, is a perfectionist when it comes to pizzerias. Peter grew up on Long Island, where he worked at pizzerias like Umberto's and developed a taste for the finest ingredients. The restaurant acquires San Marzano tomatoes, both whole and filetto, and uses Grande Cheese, which is known to be the best low-moisture mozzarella for making pizza. They also use three Italian flour types, including Caputo 00, to make their dough. The dough undergoes a 48-hour cold-proofing fermentation, greatly enhancing the crust's flavor. The dough has a high hydration rate of around 80 percent, which is unusual for a Brooklyn-style pizza. The pizzeria has old gas-fired Bakers Pride ovens from the 1980s, as Peter bought an older location. These ovens lack electronic control that new places have and are not precisely accurate. However, if you know what you are doing, they still get the job done. Nick, who grew up using the same kind of ovens at Pasquale's in Coral Springs, has excellent skills, and combined with the raw materials Peter buys and the dough he makes, it yields phenomenal results. Peter is also working on a brand-new location in Pompano Beach, opposite Gallupi's Restaurant on Federal Highway, and expects it to open in the next two months. When that occurs, the East Boca location will concentrate on being a slice shop, leaving the dishes and other things to the new location, which has a much larger kitchen and will be the central facility for making the dough. The pizzeria serves three types of sauces made with San Marzano tomatoes. For their 20" round pies, which are served as slices, they use a "Brooklyn" type pizza sauce. Their Grandma pie features a "Marinara" sauce, which is the most acidic of the three and has a strong garlic flavor. Finally, for their Sicilian pies, they use a "Sicilian" sauce that cooks with shallots and basil for four hours. This sauce is the sweetest of the three and was created specifically for the Sicilian pie. While excellent, it may not suit everyone's taste as it leans towards the sweeter side. We ordered a slice of the Grandma pizza, which was fantastic, and decided on the sauce we wanted on our 18-inch Brooklyn-style pizza. We went with marinara sauce, sausage, fried eggplant, and roasted red peppers, and it turned out to be one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. We also asked for it to be well-done and were not disappointed with the result. The pizza was fully cooked with excellent crust blisters and a well-spotted underskirt. Whenever I evaluate a new pizza place, I look at how they make the dough, what ingredients they source, and the technical proficiency of the pizza baking. Peter's hits all the checkmarks. read more

I ordered pizza from here one week ago .... one week ..... yet the pizza I had this time was awful and it was so bad we couldn't eat it and we threw it out. Where is the level of consistency, that one week the pizza is very good and the next it's abysmal? I had friends over and we are from four of the five boroughs of New York (beside Staten Island) and we know pizza and I was telling my friends that nearby Peter's Pizza is really good and I was looking forward to it again. I ordered different pies and when my friends and I tried it we all had the same reaction - it was bad with a ridiculous amount of salt on the pizza and not enough olive oil and as well as dough that was not prepped properly. This was amateurish pizza. I ordered different pies than last time and switched out the Grandma's pie for Sicilian and that proved to be a mistake as the Sicilian was just salt on top of bread with little effort to make it into a proper and good Sicilian pie. Another pie was not the basic cheese pie that I ordered on the last visit but was a slight variation and this was just not edible with a thick tasteless dough and ingredients that matched the low level of prep. Funny enough I came here because I heard about this spot from this obnoxious owner who was on tv however he did not represent himself well as this place was great so now it makes sense he could not stop talking about it. The staff was very friendly and fast. The food was quite delicious. The pizza was great with a thin crispy crust. The chicken Caesar wrap tasted great and had lots of chicken. Hey so surprise surprise this pizzeria turned over and is now Peter's pizzeria. Here's the bottom line this is the best New York style pizza I have tasted in Boca!! Now there are great places in Boca like Tucci's who makes some really great pie but if you're looking for that crispy thin slice with a little bit of chew but not too much it will give you nostalgia. You can get pizza by the slice of different kinds and I was so happy to see garlic powder, oregano and red pepper to shake on your slice before bagging. Peter is from Long Island and studied chemistry to Design his water filtration system to mimic New York city Water. And Unlike other places that claim they ship in the water (which they really don't) you can tell right away by the consistency of his dough. Now you move on to other ingredients like only using Grande mozzarella cheese in Italian San Mariano tomatoes and you have the best pie. Five stars for a great pizza restaurant! I am temporarily in Boca for a couple of months and Peter's Pizzeria is conveniently located near the beach. I find that usually food anywhere near the beach is mediocre, but not this place! This restaurant is small and tidy. It's a nice walk down Palmetto. I've eaten here three times in one week. There is a wide variety of pizza selections. The Margarita is always a staple and a fan favorite. The garlic knots were delicious and so was the side of marinera sauce. I am picky when it comes to marinera because not everyone serves one of good quality. The line for their pizza can get lengthy but it goes quick. I am surprised to say that the owner himself served us our pizza. It's refreshing to see the owner being actively involved with his company. He was friendly each time and so were the other associates. We've eaten inside and outside. They maintain the cleanliness indoors and outdoors very well. I've noticed random passerby who litter! Irks me every time but I also witnessed Peter himself come outside to ensure that the vicinity is clean. I look forward to returning again. The other night my husband and I grabbed a quick bite from her and then walked next door for ice cream. How convenient for date nights. read more

Two stars. I imagine their whole pizzas are better but their "Pizza by the Slice" is a ripoff. $5.50 for a small slice that would normally be about 1/2 the size of what you would get elsewhere. Also, it tasted like it had been out awhile...and the crust was extremely tough. We ate here a bit before and had a much better experience...the first time the owner was there and the staff at least acted like they cared. This time it was some younger guy and an older guy that was seemed to be annoyed by just about everyone...not a great way to keep your business loved by the community.
