Horrific Experience with Delta: Covered in Dog Feces and Ignored for Over a Year! I am writing this to expose a shocking and hazardous experience my companion and I had with Delta Air Lines. Delta allowed a visibly severely ill, large dog onto the flight without any kennel or crate. The dog had severe diarrhea and was bloody-stooling, which literally sprayed all over us and our belongings. Not only did we suffer major property damage, but we also developed severe allergic reactions due to this biohazard.Delta's staff on-site promised a full investigation and compensation. However, we have been waiting for MORE THAN A YEAR now, and Delta has done absolutely nothing but delay. This is an unacceptable breach of health, safety, and basic customer service. Process our claim and resolve this nightmare immediately!

(Traveled 09/02/25 TU @ 9:55am): Although I was in the South, I saw no deltas anywhere near the airport! I recently flew one-way with Delta Airlines as I had a layover in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport ATL but originated from Los Angeles International Airport LAX. In recent years, Delta has been my favorite international carrier (Alaska and Southwest Airlines were my favorite domestically!) mainly because they had the cheapest and most direct flights. Obviously, this particular flight was an exception. Would my thoughts delta about this airline!? PURCHASE(S) One-Way Airfare ($255.05): Nowadays, I booked one-way flights because I usually had more flexibility when I needed to return. Although I had a definite travel window on this recent vacation/business trip, it still made sense for the one-way option. Since I booked the flight merely weeks before its departure, I felt this fare was reasonable for air travel during the medium season (I traveled slightly before the Labor Day holiday weekend). On an overnight flight that initially arrived in Atlanta around 5:50am the next day, it was all good. Checked Luggage (Varied; N/A this instance): I traveled very light even though this particular trip was a relatively extended one, so I only had a carry-on and backpack. FLIGHT EXPERIENCE ~Check-in: I was already checked in for the first leg of my flight from LAX, had my QR code boarding pass on their app, and traveled with only a carry-on and backpack, so I was ready to go! Although I had Global Entry & TSA PreCheck, I didn't go through any security checkpoints. When it was time, passengers were queued-up in order of their boarding group and number (i.e. Zone 1/2/3, etc.). Sadly, the layover was over four hours, so I had plenty of time to kill. Once we finally left, the flight felt like it arrived shortly after it departed (barely two-hour flight). ~Seats: I happily had a window seat (26F) in the Main Cabin and slightly more leg room. I always favored the back of the plane close to the restroom and snacks. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=eO4EE6NnXUtcH-lCRyxMTg ~In-flight Meals (Varied; FREE this instance): I opted for my normal Seagram's Ginger Ale and Sun Chips snacks. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=9OP9-lJg51WloWwoOWLSyw ~Lavatory: I did my business at the terminal before we left, so I had no idea of the condition of the restroom closest to me. ~Service & Amenities: All uniformly-dressed flight attendants were adequate and spoke perfect English. All of the seats had video monitors for movie/show watching, music listening, and games playing https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=ZRiAzOPgAqAn-hSzJpsE_w which excited me! The seats themselves were roomy enough. Headphones were provided, but I always carried my own. No blankets or pillows were provided. The drink/snack cart rolled out shortly after the plane leveled off after takeoff. There were no carry-on baggage fees. PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance): I was traveling through and had no need to park. However, the airport offered onsite parking structures with rates that varied from a range of $10.00-$75.00/daily maximum. Because this was located within Concourse F of arriving and departing flights, you had to already be an outgoing or incoming passenger to even get here, so parking would be a moot point. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Because this was a layover flight, there were no security checkpoints to deal with as I took the Plane Train shuttle system from Concourse A to Concourse F of the Terminal International and headed towards my gate where the waiting area was spacious enough, several long rows of seats, and a modern appeal. There were sufficient places to sit throughout the terminal. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the large windows that looked out to the tarmac while a ton of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. Once on the airplane (I forgot to note the type of plane), it seemed like any other. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. I liked to be unencumbered and unfettered, so the least amount of clothing, especially while I traveled through an airport, the better! OVERALL My one-way layover flight on Delta Airlines from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport ATL to Toronto Pearson International Airport YYZ https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=zLBV1TWdHGflw1360NQXeg was quick and safe which truthfully was all that mattered to me on any flights. Therefore, I'd fly and recommend them again. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $255.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Comfortable seats for my flight to Jamaica. Chose to fly Delta for this international trip to make use of some sky miles points I had accumulated. Tickets were reasonable. Each checked bag was $40 so make sure you factor that into your cost. Planes appeared to be cleans. I had a short flight from Baltimore to Atlanta with a little layover then a 2 hours 25 minutes flight to Jamaica. Due to turbulence there was no inflight service to Atlanta. Nice in flight entertainment options. A little rough weather but I still was able To sleep through most of it. Arrived a little later than scheduled. Overall a good experience and I will fly delta again.

I've been flying Delta for nearly 20 years now, and I'm on the brink of hitting two million miles with them. That kind of time in the air doesn't happen if you absolutely hate an airline, so yes--I've had plenty of good experiences along the way. For a long time, Delta felt like "my" airline. But lately, things have shifted. Since Ed Bastian took over, I just don't feel the same sense of loyalty coming back from the company. Instead of valuing frequent flyers, it feels like Delta is mostly chasing the next travel dollar. Fares keep climbing and never seem to come back down, and the frequent flyer program has lost a lot of its punch. Onboard, the planes themselves are showing their age. Too many seats I've sat in recently sag like an old couch where the padding is long gone. Comfort used to be a strong point--now it's hit or miss. And then there was this past summer: three weeks in a row, my return flights were canceled. I ended up with either exhausting long drives or scrambling onto other airlines just to get home. Thankfully, my more recent flights have been smoother and on time, but those cancellations still sting. All in all, I don't hate Delta--I wouldn't still be flying them if I did--but I can't say I feel valued the way I once did. These days, it's more "just another airline" than the standout it used to be. For me, that lands somewhere in the neutral zone.

That's us waiting on the ground for Thunderstorms to pass at ATL
    Georgie M.

Thunderstorms came through here last evening and there was a "Complete Ground Halt", both in and out of ATL Hartsfield Jackson. Nothing but nice things to say about the ground crew and the Delta Sky Lounge staff. We eventually boarded two hours later, but just as our plane approached the runway, again there was another stoppage. Better to be safe, as they say! We sat for over two hours and eventually took-off, two and a half hours later. Thank you Delta for putting safety first, even if we did arrive at IAD @... Zero Dark Thirty. Yep, that's correct.

Hi! I'm flying into ATL on Wed and have a layover. A friend is going to meet me but I'm wondering what/where is the easiest way to hang out and catch up during my layover? Considering they will have to go through security or vice versa? Thanks!

You will have to meet your friend outside of security at the airport. Make sure you have enough time to get back through security to catch your flight.

Revisiting major hub airports in America (2 of 2)…read more It would be hard to change Atlanta's rating. ATL is so big that this update is mostly about changes that are incremental. I initially remember ATL as 5 long parallel concourses labeled from A through E. They had gates on both sides and Delta, the hometown airline, seemed to be present in most, if not all of them. Today, the map has two big newer pieces. There's Terminal T and there's the International Terminal. I've never used the International Terminal, but it sits at the eastern end of the airport and is actually connected to Terminal E. However, vehicular access is from the other freeway, after I-75 and I-85 have split off to create that sort of wishbone. International flights are gaining more prominence at ATL, with more carriers coming here. Sadly, the days of the quad-jet seem to be in our rear view mirror and seeing B747s, A380s, or even A340s here is a thing of the past. They are instead coming to ATL with newer and more efficient, but less interesting, twin aisle two engine aircraft. I recently used Terminal T for the first time. I always wondered what it featured. They evidently needed more domestic gates, so they snuggled it up to the roadway closer to the Main Terminal such that you only have gates on one side - so essentially a "single loaded" corridor - with windows looking out onto the roadway on the other side. I used it for a United operated flight. Things are much like they've always been. At first glance, clearing TSA seems to be cumbersome, but they are handling lines more efficiently. You just might be moved to an auxiliary line you didn't know about instead of queuing in the main centralized one. Atlanta's climate is mostly mild, despite a hot and humid summer. That said, delays due to weather are not as common as up north. If they occur, it's because of an unusual system in the Southeast or because of storm activity in adjacent Florida. I'm sure cancellations here can get messy and have a ripple effect given how many flights this airport handles. Most of the action at ATL seems to be improvements in ancillary and supporting functions. There are some large new parking structures. Those structures across from and flush with the Main Terminal just weren't enough. A separate rental car center is now operative, complete with another small dedicated rail system taking customers there. Gone are the days of rental agencies scattered in makeshift buildings in parking lots scattered around Camp Creek Parkway! That said, ATL now has yet another train in addition to MARTA and the Plane Train connecting the concourses inside the airport. Incidentally, MARTA service to the airport is a big asset and I really enjoy beginning and ending my trip to Atlanta with a MARTA ride. Mostly, ATL is a well oiled machine. It works. The train system inside it makes it seem more manageable and even "smaller." The concourses are sort of utilitarian. They make no architectural statement whatsoever. They don't have moving walkways within them ... at least not the ones I've used. There are some quirks at this airport. The people watching ought to be interesting, except that there will be quite a few "golf pukes," given that that is a big deal in this part of the country and these glad handers are typically en route to sell their business customers one thing or another. There will be Chick-Fil-A locations as well as airport-sized versions of downtown's The Varsity. Those ancient neon "Fly Delta Jets" sign that seem to be a staple of this airport are thankfully still there and you might see one from your plane window. Lastly, this airport's code has given the city one of its nicknames - "the ATL!" For a person who used to ride their bike to LAX to watch planes land and take off when a teenager, never did I think this would be my hometown airport for a few years! It may not have LAX's geography and uniqueness, but, in "the city too busy to hate," this is "the airport too busy to take a breather." ATL is just that - big and busy.

ATL gets a lot of grief for being such a massive, busy airport, but honestly, I think it's one of…read morethe easiest major airports to navigate once you understand the layout. The Plane Train is probably one of the best things about it. It's quick, runs constantly, and makes getting between the terminals and concourses incredibly easy. Even if your gate changes or you have to get from one end of the airport to the other, it really doesn't take long. The lounge options are another huge plus. There are Delta Sky Clubs throughout the airport, along with the (AMEX) Centurion Lounge in Concourse, Admirals Club, United Club, and The Club ATL. Depending on your airline, credit card, or lounge access, there are plenty of places to get away from the crowds, grab something to eat, work, or just relax before a flight. There's also no shortage of amenities. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, retail, duty free, spas, Minute Suites, and plenty of places to grab something quickly before boarding. You could easily spend a long layover here without running out of options. For an airport this large, I find the layout pretty straightforward. The concourses follow a logical pattern, signage is easy to follow, and once you're through security you can access every concourse without having to go back through again. Is it busy? Absolutely. It's ATL. But for the volume of people moving through here every day, the airport functions remarkably well. As a frequent traveler, ease of use matters to me, and ATL delivers. Great lounge options, tons of amenities, a fast train system, and direct flights practically everywhere. Definitely 5 stars for me.

We flew to Portugal in May they lost our luggage, I had NOTHING for 5 days of our 6 day trip. We were not in Lisbon there was no Walmart type shops to buy things so I was forced to stay stuck in my room with no clothes or proper shoes because I'd worn comfy slides for the flight. Our trip was ruined and now I'm being told to send more info before they close my case but the emails don't specify what more info they need. When I reached out through chat on their site I was in the queue for fours hours before I got a person who told me there was nothing they could do it had to be done through their customer service department and gave me the customer service email address that I already have. I waited in line two hrs after landing to start this claim. Also I'd left a bag on the plane but remembered before we reached the terminal. I asked the bus driver if I could ride back or what to do he pretended to speak no English he put his hand in my face and by the time I could tell the agent at the counter (who actually was amazing thank you Pedro) he called the the crew for that gate they found nothing because the cleaning crew had already boarded and of course turned nothing in. That was $250 gone. I can't put into words how terrible my experience was and has been since. I WILL NEVER FLY WITH THEM AGAIN. LONDON HEATHROW BRITISH AIRWAYS IS THE WORST!!

The plane itself was nice and clean and I have to say comfortable and I'm a large size person. There was WiFi on the plane and the option to watch tv or a movie. I watched a documentary about Aretha Franklin. The flight attendant advised passengers in my section that another passenger had an allergy to shell nuts. They advised they would not be providing nuts as a snack and asked if anyone was currently eating any at the time. The passenger seated by the window on my row was already eating a bag of nuts so she alerted them and the flight attendant changed her seat. That meant we could stretch out with no middle seat person. That was awesome since the flight was full. I was impressed with how friendly the staff was on that flight. Also they give a snack that is a full regular size bag. Not a tiny joke of a snack. Our landing at JFK had to be one of the smoothest ever. I have zero complaints about JetBlue and look forward to booking with them again in the future.

But I'd say in this case the two star rating is on point. It's not an absolutely terrible experience to fly with United compared to other airlines but it's far from awesome. For example, I get on planes knowing full well to expect a lower quality of food than a good restaurant might provide, but I've generally been disappointed with the food even by industry standards. Case in point: My tea was not hot or even really warm on my short flight to Chicago. The time before that, when I was headed from Atlanta to California, the breakfast choices were the type of food: pancakes and eggs that need to be fresh. The entrees were noticeably stale! The other piece that's annoying is that they offer in-flight entertainment from your mobile device, but my experience has been that the signal was barely strong enough to stream music, not strong enough to even initiate the movies or tv shows offered. So basically, you'll just be sitting there for the duration of your flight. I really want to give United a three star review but they just don't make it to average in my opinion. Yes I'll probably fly with them at some point again but I definitely won't go out of my way to choose them, because in my opinion, basically all they do is get ya there haha

When I asked how that was even possible, I was repeatedly told that "the computer selected me." I don't buy that explanation. It felt like I was singled out because of my Eastern European last name. Then, after I challenged the decision at the gate, another passenger--an African American woman--was suddenly chosen to be downgraded instead. The whole situation was handled terribly. I've been a loyal United customer for years. I have elite status and consistently keep around 250,000 miles in my account. This is not how you treat your loyal customers. Shame on you, United Airlines.

Dates: June 30 - July 8, 2026 BOOKING Code: NWZQMY…read more THE GOOD I purchased a RT trip fare. I travel by wheelchair because of a mishap occurring over 15 years ago, when I was knocked down onto the floor at an airport by a rushing traveler. When, "Going", (flight to Seattle) my pillow and blanket pack did not make it onto the plane. I was unaware that it was not with me until I had boarded and was unable to locate the items. The packing cube generally stays attached to my carry-on luggage. I was very concerned because I recently had neck surgery and I'm also challenged with intense and wide-spread arthritis. The planes, generally, are kept VERY cold during flights. I voiced my concern to one of the crew members and all tried, in vain, to locate the items. They were wonderful! The air was kept moderate the entire trip and a neck pillow was fashioned out of paper towels and plastic. It worked and I had a very restful and comfortable flight and to my knowledge, there were no complaints concerning the plane's less than frigid air. Thank you! THE BAD I paid for an upgrade, twice, once when I purchased my RT fare and again for my return trip, to have more sitting space and not to be required to walk far to deplane. I have an artificial right hip and severe arthritis in my back and both leg joints, especially knees and left hip. My seatmates were two men. (Full flight, no seats available) The middle seat was occupied by a 6'4, @280 lb gentleman who had no extra space and basically took what little I had sitting in the window seat, "8F". He was just as uncomfortable as I. The man, in front, let back his seat and again the middle seat passenger's knees were cramped with no movement allowed at all. I had lost my pillow and blanket on my initial flight. My daughter bought me a replacement pillow. I just needed a blanket. I tried to grab a blanket when boarding the plane from 1st class, I was told they were ONLY for first class passengers. I tried to explain my circumstances and was quickly shut down and asked to proceed to my seat. Different plane, different crew, different attitudes. When I tell you I suffered, let me tell you, I SUFFERED! The plane was freezing! My seat had no back support and no butt support. The bottom foam padding had separated and was lumpy. It provided no support for my aging and arthritic hip whatsoever. My feet and ankles swelled and my back and hip were in excruciating pain thereby rendering me unable to stand when it was time to deplane. In order to deplane, 2 service people assisted me in order for me stand out of my seat and then to hobble off the plane into a wheelchair. I did not get to enjoy my family that I visited. My activities were limited. The pain in my joints stayed with me the entire stay. I am on a fixed income. Airline tickets are currently extremely high cost expenditures. It will take 6 months to pay off, with interest, the cost of the ticket. My recommendations to ALASKA AIRLINES: 1. Do not count pillows, extra seat cushions and blankets as "extra" baggage. Most seniors need them for medical reasons, not just for comfort. 2. Invest in ergonomic seating for your passengers. We all deserve to be comfortable though you have us packed in like sardines in a can. 3. Train ALL crew to extend quality customer care.

If it wasn't for Ella at the ticket counter to assist us I'd probably have some really nasty things to say about this airline. Will I fly Frontier again? Probably not unless I had no other options. One last complaint I ordered a vodka and cranberry stewardess took my card and said $ 15 and pointed to leaving a tip Not only was it dark I couldn't see the tip choices Apparently I gave a $ 2 tip So it cost me $ 17.04 I know should have said no tip But they should at least point to the no tip option!!

The seat didn't recline, didn't cushion, didn't believe in me emotionally... but it WAS technically a seat. Boarding the plane felt like Walmart on Black Friday: Zone 1. Zone 2. Zone 47. People fighting for overhead bin space like it contained the last Xbox on Earth. The pilot came on the speaker sounding exhausted: "Folks, if this plane starts making noises... just mind your business." And the snack prices??? The flight attendant handed me a Pringles can like it was rare contraband: "That'll be $11.50 and a small sacrifice." But listen -- they got me across the country for less than the price of an Uber Eats order, and the plane only shook twice, so honestly? Elite service. Would absolutely fly Frontier again against my better judgment.
