If I could give a negative rating, I would. On 8/3/26 Delta cancelled our flight via text at Midnight, 5 hours before we were due to go the airport. They rebooked on some random flight that was 24 hours long. I spent over 2 hours on the phone (mostly on hold) at 1am trying to reschedule our flight and choose our seats since I paid to choose my seats. The Delta phone agent was extremely rude and not helpful. She informed me to speak to the Delta representative or agent at the airport for a possible bag credit for all this inconvenience. When we arrived to BWI airport (Baltimore Metro) the in-person Delta agent was the nastiest rudest person I have ever met. Not only was she disrespectful she did not care what the phone rep had told us and would not even print our boarding passes. Due to Delta cancelling our flights. We had to take a longer flight that left earlier and landed later. Those changes made us change our transportation to and from the airport. Now I had additional out of pocket expenses for parking and Ubers. That I would not have had if the original flight had been kept. When we finally arrived in Honolulu, the pilot arrive to early and then we missed our gate time window and we spent and extra hour on the plane before we can debark. Both the phone and in-person agent informed me that I could make a complaint on Delta's website. I made a formal complaint on 8.3.26 on Delta's website and received a generic no-reply email that they would respond within 48 hours. I have never heard anything from Delta. Delta has no empathy to anyone's situation. Their customer service agents need more training and lack any customer service skills. read more

Trying to book a flight next yr to Africa for a family trip. Booked my son and his wife on a delta flight out of Atlanta (originating out of Seattle). Upgraded to premium plus refundable tickets for $3700 per ticket. Our close family friends are on the same flight and got their tickets for $4,200 each out of LA. We are trying to book 3 tickets out of Denver. Starting price was $4.400 each on Monday. It went to $5700 on Tuesday and is now up to over $7000 on Thursday. We know there are plenty of seats available. You have priced us out and we are now looking at a different airline and won't be able to travel with our group. Is this your AI pricing model? There can be some lines at check-in if you need to drop a bag. I wish they had the kiosks for that. If they do, I may have missed it. I'm flying international so I prefer a human anyway. read more

My family and I flew first class round trip from California to North Carolina. On the return flight, the attendant Hailey was rude and unprofessional the entire flight. We asked for items and it would take multiple asks to get a response. When she would respond..she wouldn't ask "how can I help you" she would say.."what's up" she only responded that way to us as if we were bothering her. Sadly I filed a complaint on the app and no response and don't think I will ever use this airline again read more

I flew Delta from BWI to Las Vegas round trip and all went well until we were delayed coming back to Atlanta and hit a delay. We missed our connecting flight but Delta gave us a hotel and $60 in meal vouchers ( for 2). They were a pain to use at the Airport but worked okay for Door Dash. We had to take a taxi to the hotel because it looked like everyone was delayed and the shuttle stop was a mad house and it was pouring rain. I realized the next day that Delta send us an email after we got to the hotel with Lyft vouchers. While it was frustrating at the time, it all worked out and Delta aircrews were very professional. In retrospect, it would be hard to be the help desk staff who had to deal with all of us!! Thanks for the effort. We got home eventually and are bags made it. read more

I fly to Baltimore a lot, but typically it's on Southwest. So I needed to give a shout out to Delta who did a great job. An on time departure and friendly staff are always important to customers. Both occurred during my flight. Delta fares and schedules also are important to customers like me. With other airlines cutting schedules and raising fares Delta has been better than others. Overall, I was pleased with the services, spacious seating, and accommodations. However, I could tell that some of the planes had not been throughly cleaned because there were still small pieces of trash on the floor by our seats on 2 different flights. Additionally, the quality of service varied between all the different flights, which I think came down to the experience and competence of the flight attendants. The food served definitely exceeded my expectations in quality, and the snacks and drinks were overall plentiful and diverse. Sky priority check-in is the service you never knew you needed, especially if you're aboard. You have access to this perk if you are flying first class or happen to be a high level medallion member. Getting bags checked in, and moving through the sky priority line quickly is such a convenience, especially if you're running late through a very busy international airport. Its just an added safety blanket. Plus they zip tied my luggage for extra security, and my luggage was given priority when coming off the conveyor belt....score!! I got back to BWI a few mins after midnight by myself, so it was such a convenience to not wait long for my luggage. Also, if you have the delta airline app, you can track your luggage through the app and get notifications as to when your luggage was placed on the plane or deplaned. I love this feature, especially if you have layovers. I had a horrible experience with United airlines many years ago, and therefore hate layovers even more for fear of losing track of my bags. Overall, I recommend first class flights with Delta, particularly for international trips with long layovers, you'll arrive to your destinations with so much more peace of mind. read more

Delta is not a major hub out of BWI but makes a major presence with several gates near D reserved for the airlines. Staff are very friendly, and the ability to leave and depart on time is highly likely, due to weather conditions. The gates are well-maintained and the check in process is quick and efficient. I wish there was a Delta Sky Club at BWI but because it lacks a large presence, this will be difficult to create in the future until Delta has a larger presence here in Baltimore. read more

We arrived at 11am for our flight from BWI to Atlanta on our first leg of our trip to Barcelona which was scheduled for 3pm. When we arrived, the flight prior to ours scheduled for 12pm was still boarding and according to the gate attendant who was checking in passages was full. Once everyone was boarded, they started calling on the intercom for a group of passengers that had not shown up or ever arrived before the plane took off. Before closing the doors, I asked again if it was possible that we could take this flight since we now knew that the plane would not be full. The person at the gate curtly stated, NO! We sat in the terminal by the check-in counter for 4 hours and listened to the woman at the counter complain about the customers until 12:40 when she finally left the desk! It's amazing that even though there were 4 passengers sitting directly in front of the counter, she was comfortable talking about issues that should have been private! The next flight at 3:10 was overbooked and we were asked at check-in if we would consider changing our flight time to an earlier flight, at the time I did not think we would be able to get to BWI 4 hours early, but as it turned out we did. I can't understand why not add two passengers to a flight where seats are available and allow those who Delta overbooked for the later flight to board! I will say though, the woman at check in upon our arrival to BWI was a pleasure! So kind! read more

Re: The BWI crew I wanted to acknowledge a group of outstanding ladies that Delta Airlines is luck to have employed there. My son has been running track since the age of 6. He has qualified for every Junior Olympics games since then and my husband and I have been fortunate to travel all over the country every summer to participate in these games. Now 15 years, he is ranked 6th in the country in the 100m & 200m dash. His dream of winning a national title almost came to an end because of a mistake done by Delta. On Saturday evening, I was notified that my flight the following day would be delayed, which would cause me to miss my Detroit connection to Iowa. I called Delta and was rebooked on AA to Chicago and then United to Iowa. When I arrived at AA desk on Sunday at 3:53 am for my 6am flight-the representative was able to see both my son and myself on the reservation but was only seeing payment sent over from Delta for me and not my son. The AA representative reached out for assistance with her Helpdesk while I was on a chat with Delta. I was given several confirmation numbers & ticket numbers from the Delta agent but nothing worked. At 5:33 the AA rep said we can no longer get on the flight and we should head down to the Delta counter. On the brink of tears Ms. Alecia was directing line traffic and ask how can she help me. I explained what was going on and she immediately said, "don't worry we will get you guys to Iowa today!" Unfortunately, that was easier said than done. For the next 2 HOURS we looked for any flights from any airlines to get us to Iowa but being a Sunday and Iowa as the destination it was not looking promising. During that time Alecia was able to connect to a Delta rep over the phone and after about 40mins of searching she was able to put together a flight from BWI to Detroit, then to Houston with a final destination of Omaha, Nebraska. Arriving at 10:30pm and then driving 2 hours to Iowa so my son can make his race the following morning. That Ms. Good was a horrible option! How do you travel all day and expect for a 15 year old to be well rested to run 200meters the following morning? However, that was our only option. We were booked on that flight and walked away defeated. About 10 mins later, while in the AA line-Ms. Alecia came running towards me saying we got you, we got you! She literally grabbed my suitcase and started running back to the Delta counter. Alecia reached out to her team for one last "Hail Mary." Felicia & Veronica had joined the mission and these ladies were able to get us to Atlanta then Iowa. Getting in at 6pm-enough time for my son to be rested for the next day's event. All I could have done was to hug Alecia in tears. I had no words as I sob with relief. She truly cared about getting my son to the Junior Olympics and did everything in her power to make it happen. Her persistent and dedication to helping others is not something that can be taught-it is an innate. She is genuine and truly tries to help others. Delta is very lucky to have someone like her because she is the ONLY reason that I may even consider flying Delta in the future. She made a difference in my son's life. As of today he advanced to the semifinals (top 16 in the country) in the 200m. And the finals (top 8 in the country) in the 100m. Thanks Alecia! read more

First I was lied to about my flight being canceled because they over booked. My flight was originally at 1:17 to New York but changed to 2:23 to Atlanta. I arrived early to see that the new York flight at 1:17 was not canceled at all, they lied to me because it was more convenient. I got stuck next to a guy who wouldn't stop picking his nose and playing with his boogers then flicking them onto the chair. I even got one on me and I feel disgusting. My connecting flight is only an hour and a half long but we've been sitting in the plane waiting to take off for over 2.5 hours. I had the WORST experience with Air France. My luggage was lost while I was in Paris (3/20/22) for the entire duration of my trip. My vacation was ruined. They told me I had to submit a claim. I have submitted a claim with no feedback. I have called customer service numerous times with no assistance. They need to learn how to help customers more efficiently. I flew Delta from BWI to JFK, and from JFK back home to BWI. In between .....I spent two weeks in 5 different cities in Thailand. The last part of my journey was a bit painful, as I had strained my hip flexor, from hours and hours of sitting. The flight attendant of DL 4177 went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I can not tell you, how appreciative I was for the warm pack that was made for me. It may sound like a small thing, but small things matter. In May, Delta pissed me off with the inept crew that manned my flight to Baltimore. Now as I was happily returning back to Los Angeles, Delta added the cherry on top by providing excellent service. The crew was very attentive, always providing me with food and drinks. They were friendly, and made me feel welcome. The accommodations were spacious and very comfortable. The flight took off on time, and even arrived half an hour early. Now I had plenty of time to get good food and coffee before catching my connector flight. I was impressed by all this, and Delta more than made up for the mess up they did three months prior. read more

Delta at BWI is decent. There's no SkyClub which is unfortunate but there are enough seats and enough power outlets by the gates so that you can wait for your flight mostly comfortably. The gate agents do understand the proper boarding priority (pre-boards, then first, then Sky Priority elites, then zones 1 2 and 3) and I think that they did a reasonable job of enforcing carry on limits. I did check two bags for my departure today. The ticket counter agent was efficient, even if he was not as well staffed as I would have preferred. There is a separate line for economy passengers and Sky Priority passengers. No one else was waiting when I arrived. For those of you who have experienced a "mechanical delay," this is considered within the airline's control. As opposed to the nebulous "weather delay" that is not in their control. They send for a part and try to fix it at the airport. Thus, delaying your flight and rerouting your connecting flights on the latest possible flights. My experience with Delta Airlines went well. I flew in from JFK in NYC and flew out through Atlanta on the way to/from Texas. The staff always worked with a smile, and got us quickly taken care of in any possible way they could. The flight attendants were professional and worked with a smile. The gate agents were a bit on the surly side, never saying "please" or "thank you" to any of the customers. The flight from JFK to BWI was on a tiny airplane, with smaller luggage racks than I was accustomed to in regular flights. I guess a little heads up would have been nice. The flights were on time, even though we were dodging one Nor 'Easter after another. One one leg of the journey, they said that although we were departing late, we were still scheduled to be early. Airline logic, I guess. The airline luggage attendants, who could be spotted outside of the plane, could be seen just throwing the bags, smashing them against the corner of the conveyor belt. Each bag flexed around the corner, smashing stuff within. I'm always thankful for free drinks and snacks on any flight. We were on time to our destinations, and made our connections smoothly with a little help from Delta. The ground crew made sure we boarded the right shuttle bus, and got to the right gate. read more

Are the seats a bit cramped, yes. This is commercial flying these days in coach class and it is not going away. Could you do a whole lot worse? Read my review of a so-called airline I flew in April of 2013. Planes were on time, clean and the flight crews professional and courteous. These folks actually give you a small snack and beverage a couple of times when flying across the country whereas the other airline gave you a beverage only, had a dirty plane, rude staff and, well, I could go on but you can read that review. Box meals are available for a charge. Gate attendants were friendly also and you know when it was a good experience when you wind up laughing and thanking the flight attendant when exiting. Thursday morning after Xmas; due to fly to SC to see Dad for the holidays! Sat on the tarmac at BWI for about an hour before they decided to kick all of us off the plane. Why? Perhaps there was an issue with the weather? A major mechanical failure? A sick pilot? A security problem? An over crowded runway? No. They couldn't get the parking brake to disengage on the giant piece of crap with wings that we paid hundreds of dollars to ride in. Not only was this a new one to me, it was a new experience for our pilot as well. "I've never seen this happen before, folks," he confided sympathetically. Any other openings on flights leaving for our destination that day? Heck no. But -- we got free Food Vouchers to make up for our trouble and the missed day with family. I was extremely disappointed by the services at Delta last night as I was traveling from BWI to Boston. It was my own fault, but I had missed my flight. I got to the counter, and the sales representative was sympathetic. But when I'm trying to figure out my travel plans for the rest of the weekend, sympathetic isn't all I need. He told me that the next flight Delta had going to Boston from BWI was the following morning, and this wasn't acceptable to me. I told him that I was going to find another way to get there. He told me good luck, and that was it. I bought a one-way ticket through AirTran for a flight later that night, so I thought I was all set - assuming that my previously purchased return flight still stood. I learned too late, though, that because I missed the first leg of my flight, I had automatically forfeited my return flight. The representative at the Delta counter failed to mention this to me, and it ended up costing me the entire price of the original ticket as well as the price of the alternative transportation I arranged for myself. This policy is bad enough on its own (If I pay for two different flights and I miss one flight, why should that affect the other?). But to have been informed of this bad policy would have saved me hundreds of dollars this weekend. I called Delta myself and had my lawyer-to-be boyfriend call as well, and the Delta customer service said that it was on me to ask about this policy. Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me when I was at the counter to ask, "Are there any awful policies that Delta has that might affect me right now?" Thanks a lot, Delta. read more

I did some extensive research before writing this review. Mostly because I didn't want to go solely on my day long punishment that was DELTA. I figured ... this is a big airline that must have SOME upside. Well I was wrong. I did a google search for Delta Airlines. I had to sift through a sea of horrible reviews until I finally got to something else to base my opinion on. I read thru some of their financial statements to see what kind of economic health they were in. After thirty seconds I soon discovered that this was a satanic organization and their CEO was Lucifer himself. So one star it is!! Where shall I begin ... I arrived 30 min before take off. This is because I am a jackass who runs late to everything. This is a common occurrence at the airport and I had never once in my life missed my flight. Well thank you Delta for screwing my streak. I swear to the good lord himself .. I have shown up 15 min before take off and found a way to get on dozens of flights. Not at Delta .. couldn't do it .. not with this equipment. So I missed my flight. Bumped two hours. After the unexpected wait ... I board, but what I boarded was not an airplane!! This piece of crap was a mini aircraft. Like a 347. I'm telling you this hunk of metals main component was duct tape. After SQUEEZING into my mini seat on the mini plane we sat for 50 min for no apparent reason and when we did take off it was an hour behind schedule. Keep in mind I have a connecting flight in the city that I most hope to get stuck in CINCINNATI!! By an act of GOD, sorry SATAN, we land safely. Prior to touching down I tried to get some (what I consider) important information about my connecting flight ... where is it? will we make it? can I get off the plane before the rest of the passengers that are not connecting? The answer from my stellar flight crew was NO NO and NO. Fantastic. I FINALLY exit the plane 10 minutes after it lands. This leaves me 10 minutes to find the gate and board the connection. Now I RUN. FOUND IT ... with just a couple minutes to spare. Dripping in sweat I board and plop myself into a mini seat on another mini plane. Out of breath and feeling like a beaten down man ... I listen to our stewardess address the passengers. "Folks we have 5 of your fellow passengers that need to make it onto this flight but their plane is running behind. We're going to wait for them, it should only put us behind about 30 minutes." WHAT??? Seriously??? I have never heard of such a thing in my life. Don't get me wrong. Good for them I guess, but what about the 100 or so of us that made this flight ON TIME. What if time was of the essence for one of us and we needed to touch down when flight 666 was originally scheduled. Guess that didn't matter. 45 minutes later we were in the air and the rest is history. What I feel obligated to add here is that all the people I dealt with at Delta were unengaged, negative, and down right stupid. I will never ... ever .... step foot on Satan air again. WELL I DID SOME INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM...... AND, guess what Delta, I DROVE from Baltimore to JFK and witnessed a million planes taking off and landing from your terminal. So...what's the dilly yo? While I was at JFK, I explained that we drove here and that we'd like to check in for our JFK to Ireland flight. We were 1 hour and 15 minutes early (thanks to the flight being delayed in true Delta fashion) for the flight but you STILL TURNED US AWAY.
