I just picked up my rental car - after first being transferred from one location to another due to their not having any cars and then at the second location I was forced to pay for a higher level car than I reserved - it kinda reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Seinfeld tells the car rental place that while they have no problem taking reservations, they have problems following through with the reservation, which is the most important part. Regarding the car for which I was forced to pay a higher price, it is clearly the worst car I have ever rented in my over 40 years of renting cars - I wouldn't expect the rent-a-wreck rental to be this bad. I am renting a vehicle because my car is almost inoperable (broken turbocharger). I think my failing car drives better than this car (Jetta) that I have as a rental. I will certainly think twice before renting from Enterprise ever again. read more

My fiancé and I drove to the BWI location because it stays open later than other branches. When we arrived, we spoke with Logan, the manager, who was very helpful. He directed us to the customer service return area and assured us that someone there would be able to assist us. At the customer service booth, we spoke with Emily, another manager. We explained that we did not feel safe driving the rental vehicle because it was displaying multiple warning signs. The dashboard would light up like a Christmas tree, and both the lane departure and blind spot detection systems were activating even when there were no vehicles nearby. I also pointed out that the vehicle displayed a maintenance due message. I told Emily that I was uncomfortable driving the vehicle because it appeared that something was clearly wrong. Emily responded by saying that she could not help us because the issue was not considered "mechanical." I did not understand this explanation, as the vehicle was exhibiting obvious safety concerns. We asked why the vehicle could not be exchanged because I could not believe Enterprise would expect a customer to continue driving a vehicle with multiple warning indicators and malfunctioning safety features. I have always believed that customer safety is a priority. Emily continued to state that there was nothing she could do and instructed us to contact roadside assistance instead. I then spoke with Ryan, another manager, who told me that Emily was responsible for making that decision and that he had no authority to override it. I was honestly surprised and disappointed that our concerns were not taken seriously. At no point did it feel like anyone made an effort to address the safety issues we described or explore a reasonable solution. Emily also emphasized that, when contacting roadside assistance, I should inform them that the BWI location could not assist me. read more

Agreement 964500423 3/16/26-3/22/26: I've been renting through Enterprise consistently for a decade. I currently have Platinum Tier status. I was thanked for my loyalty as I usually am. However, I am now questioning why I stay loyal to the brand. Instead of being asked if I would enjoy a premium upgrade, I'm asked if I would like to pay more for an SUV for more space that I don't need. When I came back to the attendants in the garage at the kiosk and asked if they wouldn't mind if I moved into the BMW, Audi, or Mercedes, attendant told me it would be an extra $30/day without looking into my loyalty. When I dropped off the car, I told this to the checkout rep too. I have heard nothing. There are many options to choose from. I think I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

After a long day, I was excited to finally get to the rental car facility. As I walked up to the Enterprise area, I was super excited to see the Self-Serve Kiosk! OhEmGee!!!! I had heard of them, however, I never had the chance to use one, so guess what I did... Yep! I used it. I walked up to the kiosk and scanned my ID in. Once that was done I input my reservation number and voila, my entire reservation came up with all of my details. I went through the easy to follow step by step prompts to finalize my order, swiped my credit card when it was time, and once I agreed to the final confirmation, boom... I was out the door. Not only is the self-serve kiosk easy to use, it was the ideal setup for me as I had worked all day and traveled all night and being able to use the kiosk and not have to speak to anyone was truly all I needed at that moment. Once my paperwork printed out of the kiosk I headed out the door to where the cars are held. As I walked up to the waiting area I was met by Lauren S. Lauren was super pleasant, very warm, and all smiles. As there were a few people coming out at the same time, she took the time to greet all of us. Confirm our vehicle types, and walk us to our vehicles. Her process was super efficient, time conscious, and best of all, customer focused. Special THANK YOU to Lauren S. for being able to provide stellar service to an entire group of people and do it with confidence and a smile. Your professionalism and standards of service is super appreciated. Once in my vehicle, I drove up to the gate, the person at the gate confirmed my details with me and I was set to go and was out within 2 minutes. Oh yes! I am in love with the Self-Serve Kiosk. PROPS TO SIM, LENA, and GEMMA!! I wanted to talk about 3 amazing folks that really saved my bacon this past week. I came in to pick up a rental that was reserved for me by my organization and there was an issue with their direct account. Sim, Lena, and Gemma were all working with me and my organization for over an hour to make sure that everything was squared away, and even spoke with my supervisor to ensure they had the information they needed. Their customer service was above and beyond and I can't compliment them enough. It is beyond stressful realizing after a full day of travel, with a couple hours left, at night, that I might have to sleep in the airport until everything could be figured out. It's best to reserve a rental car before you arrive. There will be a line. Depending on when you arrive as well there may not be enough cars. Good service though. They were open late into the night when we arrived at BWI. There is a shuttle that will take you to and from the airport to the car rental. It's about 8 minutes. I just had the worst experience with this company and I'm not planning to rent with them again. My husband rented a car for us to go home and return it back to the airport the next day, but we couldn't get it out of the lot. They asked him for a deposit in a credit card. He didn't have enough balance in his credit card, but they didn't let him use a debit card or my credit card either. When we went to the counter to complain, the guy didn't care at all and said it was their underwriter policy and that was it. We ended up having to take an Uber. What I regret the most is that they didn't offer any solution and how loyal we were to this company. We were checked in by a competent professional looking, polite young man named Abe, who then handed us off immediately to a person who took us to our cars. We picked from 6-8 available cars. Both of the cars were clean and damage-free. We were at the counter and on our way in less than 5 minutes. After a week, we brought the cars back and were greeted by someone who ensured​ the cars had been good for our needs. The (?) Intake person offered guidance about how to safely get from the garage to the shuttle and we were off. We were checked in (in the garage) in less than 60 seconds. We rent cars fairly frequently but had not rented from Enterprise in the recent past. We booked our reservation online a few weeks prior and they were fairly busy at the counter when we arrived. We waited for about 10 minutes and were helped by a young man who was friendly and efficient. He directed us outside to the garage area and we were shocked when a young lady walked out and greeted us with a handheld device and asked us for our last name and immediately walked us to our car. This is a much different experience for us than most - we were impressed! We were on our way in just a few minutes in a new Nissan Rogue with less than 7,000 miles. The car was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the Sirius radio and Car Play feature which allowed us to map our stops and view the directions on the screen located on the dash. We had no problems with the car and upon return we were greeted by someone who got the car checked in quickly and we were on our way. I think I need to look up my Enterprise reward information because we will be using them in the future. Great experience!!! Also, Enterprise is one of the few companies that allows your spouse or domestic partner to drive for free which is a nice option to have. read more

My experience with Enterprise rental car at the BWI Airport was excellent! Hope was the agent that checked me in upon arrival. The check-in process took less than 10 minutes. Once the paperwork was complete I walked outside into the parking garage and an agent greeted me and walked me to my car. I was heading out in the car within 15 minutes of being dropped off at the rental car stop. I rented a Nissan Altima that was fairly new. The car drove nicely and it was clean with a full tank of gas. I was very pleased with the car rental and the process. I rented the car through a travel site with my job. I was still required to provide a credit card for incidentals with the car. Drop off was very simple. I pulled into the spot as directed by an employee. When I picked up the car, they refused to give me the damage report. They insisted it would be emailed later and told me everything was fine. Fortunately, I recorded a video showing all the pre-existing damage. When I returned the car, they didn't inspect it and hurried me to leave, promising I'd get the checkout report later. They release my deposit after one day, but then, 16 days later, they suddenly charged me approximately 1650 Swiss francs ($1825). I filed a complaint with their help centre, providing the video with location, date, and time stamps, but they haven't replied in over three weeks. Avoid Enterprise Rent-A-Car at all costs. This isn't a legitimate business; it's a major scam. read more

With all car rentals at this airport, you will need to take a shuttle bus to the rental area- that's like 8-9 minutes away via shuttle, plus wait time. Why have a self service kiosks if they aren't going to work?! Long lines because no one could get the kiosks out of 4 of them to scan the barcode and one person successfully got to next screen but still wasn't allowed to proceed. After a long flight the last thing you want to do is wait in a line and not be serviced quickly. So happy I've decided to start using Enterprise as my "go to" rental agency. The line at the counter was long but they have 4 kiosks available for out of state renters to use without the need to wait in line. Glad I tried it! It took about 2 mins to plug in my info. (Including scanning drivers license) to get my reservation into the system. A receipt was generated and we were on our way out the double doors to the garage. We were met by Dre who (with a smiling personality) quickly got us into our vehicle, had my initials on the hand held unit so we could acknowledge the vehicle had no dents/large scratches etc. and we were on our way in no time. They don't convey everything and before renting the car, and after returning they will keep charging your card some different reasons

- I called this location after another Enterprise location cancelled my vacation rental two hours before I was scheduled to leave. The BWI location had a vehicle, but it was $240 more. The representative on the phone said that the manager at the location could adjust the price to match my earlier reservation. - However, the employees at BWI would not match the price but told me that I could contact customer service to get a discount. Being in a pickle, I rented the vehicle and trusted that I would get at least some of the difference paid back. So, I contacted customer service, and they said that only the location employees can adjust the price. So, around we go. - Even though the BWI employee assured me that my spouse was included as a driver, they sneakily charged $180 for "Additional driver" after we dropped off the vehicle. - Surely Enterprise's chat bot will chime in to tell me that they'd like to know more. Well, I've already reached out and have been waiting for 12 days to get a response from management. read more
