In my adult life, this was my first experience with Delta Airlines coming out from the SFO airport flying to LAX (roundtrip flight beginning of December during the weekdays was a little over $100). For basic economy, seats are assigned after checking in, and passengers get a free carry-on and personal item. I was set to depart SFO at 1:35pm and arrive at LAX 3:05pm. When I got to the gate, it was crowded. We were told 20 minutes before the flight was set to depart that the flight was overbooked, and that they were requesting passengers to volunteer themselves off the flight. Yikes. I can't imagine being in a situation where my time was so flexible like that, but to my surprise, a couple went up to the Delta Airline clerks and asked about their options, and what bonuses they would get. It was all airline jargon to me, which I didn't understand, but it sounded like they would be offered miles if they let go of their spots, and nothing else. I prayed I was not selected to be kicked off the plane, since I had booked other accommodations and timed events. Eventually, I made it on, though it was unclear whether they had forcefully removed people or had enough volunteers. As my ticket was in one of the last boarding groups, when I got closer to the plane, we were notified that they ran out of overhead space for carry-on baggage, and that our luggage would be forced checked baggage for free. I asked a barrage of questions to one of the flamboyant attendants because I was puzzled by the entire unfolding situation. Well, I had no choice. They lined up us budget stragglers' luggage, put a tag on them and gave us a matching bag claim number, and we boarded without our stuff. On the plane, someone had identified Delta doing something erroneous to their luggage, and they were thanked for letting them know of the issue and given some miles. The entire debacle caused the plane departure to be delayed by half an hour. Over the intercom, when everyone was seated, they announced, "Sorry for the delay, we had an abnormal amount of bags come in." I got an aisle seat, looked through their in-flight entertainment on the electronic displays, and requested complimentary earbuds to plug in to it. They gave us two snacks and beverages about half an hour into the flight, which was nice. The interior was a bit more dated than I expected, though it had cool ambient blue lighting on the ceiling. The short flight was okay, but the overbooking and baggage issues were concerning. Despite the delay, the plane arrived on time, so I guess the pilot made up for it with speed. I ended up retrieving my checked bag rather quick from the luggage carousel. While the outcome was alright, I definitely expect an actual smooth process devoid of overbooking or baggage fiascos when I fly anywhere.

Time & time again Delta has done me wrong even flying Delta One & First Class. I arrived back from Europe after being on vacation for a month & when I arrived my lounge was brutally messed up. My lock was broken & left unzipped but, thank the Lord I did not place anything in the outer zipper compartment. It took Delta time & time again to fix the issue & the process... man the process was ridiculous. Fill out this form on our website - CLICK! Customer service couldn't care less what happened to your lounge & when they acted like they did care, they were saving face! How livid would you been when a customer service representative, lies to your face, by saving face. Cause no action after the phone call done, until, I became a complete douche bag.

I fly Delta because I have the Amex cobranded credit card and have status. This is huge as I have never paid for luggage and get great perks. Highly recommend this strategy as it pays off.

Automatically emailed complimentary hotel and meal vouchers by Delta for what was only a 1-2 hour delay out of SFO into ATL.

The SFO to ATL (San Francisco International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport) route is one of the routes I've flown most often since 2001, when one of my sisters moved to and settled in the Bay Area. Before then, our immediate family traveled from the East Coast to visit other relatives in San Francisco. Most of my flights out of and into SFO have been on Delta, but it hasn't always been that way. I started out flying United more. SFO is a hub for United. ATL is a hub for Delta. So, I've had plenty of nonstop flight options between the two airports over the years, more so on Delta. It's great. In general, I've had no significant issues flying Delta out of and into SFO over the past 20+ years. Delta has been pretty solid and reliable. Typically, flights from SFO to ATL have about a 4.5-hour in-air flight time, which I think is great. Flights in the other direction, ATL to SFO, take longer - up to about 5.5 hours. Still, not bad, considering it's nonstop. Jet streams are the reason why eastbound flights go faster than westbound flights. Also in general, I think Delta and United out of and into SFO are about equal in terms of on-time arrivals and departures, customer service, fleets, and in-flight features and amenities. With Delta, I can't ever recall a flight cancellation connected to SFO. I've dealt with delays out of SFO, but they've never been bad. My definition of "bad" when it comes to flight delays is having to wait for hours, missing connections, and/or having to leave the airport and come back the next day. That happened to me and my wife last year with multiple Delta flights originating at RDU (Raleigh-Durham International Airport). I also understand that delays are sometimes out of the airline's control. My friend and I were delayed for 1-2 hours on my last Delta flight out of SFO (bound for ATL). Delta promptly emailed me complimentary hotel, transportation, and meal vouchers. I didn't need hotel and transportation, so I only claimed the meal voucher. In my experience, Delta meal vouchers are good at certain airport food and beverage vendors only. Some vendors don't accept them and the only way to find out is to ask each vendor. Also, disappointingly, the vouchers can't be used for Delta's own in-flight meals. You'd think they'd be good for that. Also in my experience, the vouchers have very short redemption periods, like 24 hours. That's kind of a bummer too. In terms of frequent-flyer programs, I've found that I can get more for my miles through United MileagePlus than Delta SkyMiles. One United mile goes further than one Delta mile, and that's not just for flights, but for other things like rental cars. I'm not sure, but I think United has more retail partners than Delta. Some partners both airlines share, like Starbucks. When it comes to ridesharing services, Delta partners with Lyft and United partners with Uber. Link your Delta SkyMiles account with your Lyft account so you can automatically earn SkyMiles every time you ride Lyft. All in all, I like Delta. It's the airline I've flown the most, because most of my flights have been based out of Atlanta, with United second. After that, no other airlines are close.

Waiting at tagged bags at SFO

Had a decent relaxing flight both ways from SEA to SFO and back. Flew biz class which was comfy with wifi and tiny chip snacks. I'm short so I can't really review the leg room but it seemed roomy. At SEATAC I was able to get a Delta agent outside to check my bag and it was easy. At SFO there are kiosks to do your own check baggage label but you still have to stand in line to actually check it so I'm not sure that was a times savings as there was a long line and only 3 agents. Line took less than 10 min and I was off to security. The flight to SEA was delayed 12 min because of air traffic but we somehow still got there on time!

Delta has a lot of flights that fit my personal and work schedule. I think San Francisco Airport is so much nicer and cleaner than JFK and operates more efficiently than LGA. I am also a fan of all their sports teams so I keep coming back for more. The restaurants are amazing and the shops have so much great memorabilia to purchase. I also want to mention the food tastes great and The Delta service is efficient. Go Warriors!!!

When asked about meal options, I inquired, 'What do you have today?' The flight attendant responded curtly, 'It's on the menu!' A more courteous response would have been, 'We offer a variety of dishes, including beef, chicken, and fish.' I was taken aback by her demeanor. Her instruction to read the menu seemed unnecessary, and I wondered if she doubted my ability to do so. Unfortunately, she never returned to take my order, and I was not served a meal. I approached a male steward and requested the halibut from the menu, but he informed me that it was unavailable. My concern is that if the menu items are not available, it would be more considerate to inform passengers of the alternatives. Instead, I was left without food for the entire flight and had to request something light to eat. The male steward provided me with two small pieces of cheese and a tiny cracker. I strongly advise against flying with United Airlines due to their staff's lack of knowledge and rudeness, regardless of their experience. I am currently seeking a full refund from the authorities. On June 1st, I traveled on American Airlines Flight 525 from New York (JFK) to Miami (MIA), departing at approximately 11:15 a.m. After arriving in Miami, I accidentally left my garment bag on the aircraft. This was completely my mistake and not the fault of American Airlines. I filed a lost item report but had not heard anything back, so I returned to the airport early the following morning hoping there might still be a chance to locate it. When I arrived, I met Elizabeth Alonso in Baggage Service at Miami International Airport around 6:00 a.m. and explained my situation. She listened patiently to my story and was honest in telling me that sometimes lost items are found and sometimes they are not. However, instead of simply following the standard process, she decided to go above and beyond. Elizabeth explained that occasionally items are left at the gate rather than making their way through the normal lost-and-found procedure. Although it was not part of her regular responsibilities, she personally went upstairs, through security, and checked the gate area herself. To my surprise and tremendous relief, she found my garment bag. What impressed me most was that Elizabeth didn't have to do any of this. She could have simply referred me back to the lost-and-found process and moved on. Instead, she took ownership of the situation, showed genuine care, and made an extraordinary effort to help a customer. Employees like Elizabeth Alonso are what make a company stand out. Her professionalism, compassion, initiative, and willingness to go the extra mile transformed what could have been a very stressful experience into a positive one. Please extend my sincere thanks to Elizabeth and recognize her for the outstanding service she provided. She is a tremendous asset to American Airlines and a wonderful example of what great customer service looks like. -- Phil Wexler Grateful American Airlines Customer most people love to post negative views about Airlines, but they went out of their way from me

This 24/7 toll-free customer support line provides real-time help with flight bookings, group booking, rebooking, reservation changes, cancellations, refund requests, and general travel inquiries. I traveled with this airline recently, and the overall experience was smooth and well coordinated. From booking the ticket to collecting my baggage at the destination, the process felt organized and passenger-friendly. The ticket was booked online a few days before departure. The website was easy to navigate, and all important details such as flight schedule, fare summary, baggage allowance, and seat selection were clearly mentioned. The payment process was quick, and I received confirmation immediately, which gave me confidence that everything was properly arranged. On the day of travel, I completed web check-in to avoid waiting in long lines. At the airport, the ground staff were polite and professional while assisting passengers. They managed the counters efficiently and handled queries calmly. Boarding was announced clearly and carried out in an orderly manner. The flight departed close to its scheduled time, which made the experience more convenient. Inside the aircraft, the cabin was clean and well maintained. The seating was comfortable for an economy-class flight, and the leg space was reasonable. The cabin environment felt calm throughout the journey. The crew members were friendly, attentive, and professional. They responded quickly whenever assistance was required and ensured passengers were comfortable. In-flight service was satisfactory. Meals and beverages were served on time, and the quality was decent. Safety instructions were explained clearly before takeoff, and the crew ensured all guidelines were followed properly. Their communication was polite and reassuring, which added to the overall positive experience. The landing was smooth, and the arrival procedures were handled efficiently. Disembarkation was managed properly, and baggage delivery was timely. My luggage arrived safely without any damage or delay. Overall, the journey was comfortable and hassle-free. While there is always room for minor improvements, such as additional entertainment options or expanded meal choices, the overall service quality was reliable. Based on this experience, I would consider choosing this airline again for future travel.!!

I booked flights with Expedia on Turkish Airlines. My son had knee injury and could not travel…read more Expedia cancelled our flights and gave us airline credit. I contacted Turkish Airlines to use the airline credit. They transferred me to their reservation agent (Travel Back) to book. I was informed by Bella Stine that the only way to use the airline credit is to buy 2 new tickets, Turkish Airlines would refund me the original airline credit plus one half of the new tickets as I will be using one for me to travel. They issued me a refund " Refund Amount: $2820.83 USD Including base fare and taxes. Refund Method: Visa Card ******2267 Expected Refund Duration: 01-3 Billing Cycle(60-90 Business days) Expected Refund Date: Between 01st Feb of 2026 to 27th of Feb 2026 Refund Enquiry Number: TK-O65894865569." I never charged anything to that credit card and of course could not be processed. I found the credit card that the 2 new tickets were charged and filed a dispute. Turkish Airlines refused because it did not meet their cancellation policy! Emails and calls to Bella Stine went unanswered. Be aware of doing business with Expedia and Turkish Airlines!

The curry tonkatsu was flavorful and juicy and just look at everything it's paired with! We even got a personal size strawberry ice cream for dessert... Breakfast was a little lighter but the crab, smoked salmon and egg scramble simply inspired me -- I need to try to reproduce this at home! Japanese anything is just next level.

Check-in agents seemed to be contract staff, based upon their generic black uniform. Check-in was courteous and easy. Security was easy. TSA Pre check and priority security seemed to be bundled together where no liquids or laptop needing to be removed. ANA's contract lounge United Polaris and United Club were both horrific and embarrassing. Boarding was on-time and merely a photo was needed to board. As our plane was merely 1/3 full, boarding was quick and we left ahead of schedule. Service started with a pre-departure beverage and we were given a couple amuse bouches for the late night departures. Heavy snacks are available at any time. Flew out on the original Boeing 777-300ER and it was fine. All the seats face forward and wifi is complimentary for Business class passengers. Apparently ANA sends out a voucher via email...I didn't find mine maybe because I booked via United? The seat itself is lieflat and forward facing. The screen is touchscreen and can be also controlled by the remote. There is a reading lamp too. The seat includes a mattress topper along with a super comfortable blanket and pillow. Service throughout the flight was world class. A meal was served 2.5 hours prior to landing. Opted for the Japanese option which included a wide variety of appetizers along with a main course of steamed fish served with a side of steam rice and miso soup.
