I flew into JFK roughly 4:00 PM 11/6, flying from Orlando. I had 1 carry on, that had my son's medication he needs every morning/night, my work computer and phone, and winter coats for when we landed in Vermont. I was told at the gate, I needed to check my carry on, and because I didn't have any other bag, I left all of my belongings I needed in that carry on. We were boarding the plane, my carry on was 2 feet from the plane, and somehow was tagged with someone else's name, and then left at MCO. My frustration happens when I land at JFK. There was a manager named Zack L. helping at first to locate my lost carry on that I was forced to check. The bag was found and I was told it would be in the next flight and I would have it by the end of the night. I asked Zack who can verify that my bag is getting on that plane, relaying the importance of my 2 year olds medication. He stated "I didn't even have to file the claim, and I did that for you, so what else do you want." I told him filing a claim that Delta lost my bag is the bare minimum of his job duties as the manager. He then stated "It has nothing to do with me, this is on you." I reminded him that he represents Delta and his customer service and way of speaking to PAYING customers was unacceptable. Then a woman who stated she was the next supervisor came out of the door, and stated "It's your fault you don't have your sons medication, if it was important you should've kept it on you." No introduction, no "Hello how can I help". I was visibly upset, worried about my son missing his medication timeline. All I wanted was someone to be able to confirm that my bag would be loaded. That was it. I was told "I'm leaving" and "We've already gone above and beyond by filing a missing bag claim for you", which yet again is the BARE minimum of their job. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectful by an airline company. They were rude from the start. The original gentleman we had was actually the one who filed the claim, NOT Zack, and right after he typed up the report, he came up to me with his coat on, back pack on, and said "The manager will help you I'm leaving." The worst customer service experience, and the worst flight experience. That was not how a manager behaves or treats paying customers, and all of the other employees involved showed lack of care for customers, and lack of professionalism.I was told my bag would be delivered in 1-6 hours after the flight lands. It is now 6 AM the NEXT day, and my bag is STILL NOT HERE. This is unacceptable and I expect a phone call apology for this entire experience as well as compensation for the trouble your employees caused from beginning to end. read more

Ticket agent lied about plane pulling from gate. Refused to load our luggage in favor of loading a bigger plane. Vacation was delayed. Wedding was ruined. Lost our luggage on subsequent flight. Luggage arrived later the next day, well after time promised. Not one person acknowledged fault. Not one person proactively reached out to take action and solve problem. Like pulling teeth over several calls to get help. Just as awful as could be experiencing flight travel. Will do everything's can to avoid flying Delta again in future. Ruined international vacation. I fly internationally numerous times every year. Will avoid Delta. Totally unsatisfactory. read more

I've flown all over the world and have been flying Delta for years and this is hands down THE WORST Delta counter. The staff is unprofessional and quite frankly stupid. They refused to board 8 passengers, including me, who were unable to check bags because the incompetent counter staff couldn't get it done in time even though we were all in line early. And then the manager refused to override it, even though he could have and even though the flight wasn't for an hour. And even though it was 6am at a rural airport with nothing going on. And then the flight was delayed by an additional 40minutes anyway. And they conveniently offered to rebook everyone on the next available flight....36hrs later. I cannot urge you enough that if you are flying in or out of Burlington use any other airline. JetBlue is nice. read more

Amazing!!!! This is an update on my previous review of the horrible service provided by Delta Airlines in Burlington, VT. A few weeks prior I purchased a ticket with Delta to fly from Burlington to Atlanta on 7-16-2017, believe it or not, the following actually happened. After the passengers were loaded and the aircraft departed, the plane pushed back and was taxing when we had to wait approximately 10 minutes before actually taking off. The issue was due to no weight and balance received by the Burlington Airport Air Traffic Control. This is not a minor detail but rather the most critical in ensuring a safe flight!!!!! Flying from BTV to Florida. Taking off two hours late. This is, at minimum, the 2nd time a Delta flight has taken off HOURS late. Can't maintenance to Delta planes take place before they arrive at a gate for departure? This happened pre-COVID as well so that is not the issue. read more

On the busiest travel day of the year I expect there to be some chaos when flying. What I experienced at BTV airport this morning with the Delta Crew was above and beyond the expected chaos. There was no announcement (audio or visual) made about flight 5205 until 5:35 a.m. (5 minutes before the expected departure). Passengers tried to ask the gate agents and customer service rep about the status of the flight and received no answers. Assuming the crew had our best interests at heart, and the time/ resources to do their jobs correctly, passengers continued to wait. Finally upon further inquiry, the customer service rep said that the gate agent from gate 14 (flight3489) would be servicing our boarding when she was finished with gate 14. I went over to that gate and realized that flight 3489 (which boarded and subsequently took off before flight 5205) was scheduled to leave AFTER flight 5205. The agents seemed confused - they thought flight 5205 had already begun boarding - still no announcement or even the gate screen hadn't made no mention of the flight. The agent at gate 14 continued to stand at an already boarded flight for ten minutes. Finally, the first agent (customer service lead) I spoke to came to Board our flight. She started checking names off on a printed flight report - boarding the first class and other special passengers took a remarkable 10 minutes to do this by hand and frankly felt less secure than the usual electronic process. She then proceeded to say - "everyone can board" and a mass rush ensued. Really, really disappointed with this experience - this was one of the most stressful travel experiences I have had in quite a long time which is remarkable for such a small airport. The Burlington team obviously does not have the time or resources they need to provide excellent customer service. read more

Delta Flight was delayed, causing us to miss our connection. We learned it was delayed the evening prior, and they were not helpful at all. On hold for 2 hours trying to reach them to solve the problem. We offered to drive to Boston (3 hours) to fly RT to RDU. Wouldn't let us because that flight cost more! Shouldn't have been our problem. Awful customer service. Would never fly them again and would never recommend them to anyone. read more

So I've never flown Delta but booked a last minute flight back home for the weekend to NY. Long story short -realized I messed up (multitasking). Customer service I received was outstanding- the rep fixed the mess I made of my itinerary and didn't charge me the markup as the original cost for the new itinerary would've been the same - had I booked it properly. Add this to the fact that the delta terminal at LaGuardia airport in NY is 100x better than the other terminal(s) I've been at - I'm giving Delta an A+ for superior service! Thank you! read more

I had to check my carry on cause no plane has space anymore these days. Finally land in burly and guess what?!? It took them 30 minutes to get me a bag...so much for the 20 minute guarantee. By the time I got my bag all the Uber's where gone so another 20 minutes of my life wasted waiting all because Delta forced me to check my carry on.
