Electricity would not work but Dan, one of the owners, said that somebody must have tried to hook a 50 amp into the 30 amp. box. He went about a half block to check breaker said that it was not flipped but it was wobbling pretty loose in there. My husband is a licensed electrician and of course had his own my testing equipment. It showed 25 amp coming out of it. So he said move to spot 50. Well before we moved our vehicle we went down there and checked it and he took off before we could. And guess what the exact same problem. We did not even hook into the second one. So he proceeded to tell us that it was our equipment that had gone bad. Even though we never plugged into spot 50! I had planned on one night thank God! He did refund our $52. we had to drive down the road and try to find someplace else at 7:00 in the evening. Another thank God, the Walmart about 10 or 15 miles down the road would allow overnight. So we are now on our way to our next location which is about a 7 hour drive. We are just hoping that they did not damage our equipment. This is without a doubt the worst camp gound I have ever stayed in...from the extremely small sites to the passive aggressive management. If I could give this less than 1 star I would. Dan one of the owners needs to take some anger management classes and learn how to treat people. Did not feel safe staying here avoid at all cost. read more

I found this campground while looking for places to stay while dropping our son off at college in Burlington. We booked it without really knowing what to expect. After reading other reviews I was nervous about what it would be like. Staff was kind, courteous, professional, and helpful. Because we booked late we had limited sites to choose from. We ended up with a site right next to the office, so a little less private than we would prefer, but still a nice site. The campground was clean, well maintained, and quiet. The pool looked beautiful, although we didn't use it. The bathrooms are large, well maintained, and clean. Our family agreed that we would be happy returning. Before the end of our stay we booked a site for the end of October for family weekend at the college. I can see us staying here multiple times over the next 4 years while our son is in college. The price is way more affordable than hotels in Burlington. read more

Horrible experience with this campground!!! Made reservations in July for October stay. Paid for site in full. Arrived at campground only to find that our reservation was messed up. Had confirmed the reservation on the phone with Chris in August. Office was closed upon arrival so called the emergency number posted. Dan arrived at campsite and informed us that he could not accommodate us and provide a campsite for us! He was unprofessional and passive-aggressive. What a great place to camp being situated in Shrlburne and easy to get to everywhere. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

I want to report that the website for this business is deceptive and highly inaccurate. This is not a "truly modern" campground. The internet was intermittent at best. There is one pool, not two. The sites are nowhere close to "spacious." The fire ring was a 10" trailer wheel whose size did match the 5 foot picnic table and couldn't even fit small logs. The presentation of this business as somehow affiliated with Shelburne Farms is disingenuous and deceptive. The location of the site adjacent to a poorly maintained motel only a few hundred yards off a major roadway is not mentioned and was not conducive to "relaxation and peacefulness ." The "camp store" was open only a few hours two days after we arrived and offered almost nothing. You can do better than this campground! read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night during the beer fest weekend in Burlington. It is a hop skip and jump from everything. The sites are very clean and the grounds are very maintained. The staff is very nice. And I see that the owner/manager responds to yelp reviews. So it shows that they take pride in their business. There was only one problem with our experience. It felt like we were city camping - there's little space between the sites.. We had a tent and we are used to state park camping. Little blocks the noise of the neighbors (who were talking normally but were very close to our tent). This might have been different if we were in an RV. Or if we were less sensitive to noise. read more

The pool's were DISGUSTING! The kids swingset had rusty hooks hanging down and there were screws sticking out of the ladder right at a childs skull height. The firewood they sold me was moldy and wet. The FULL TIME trailers were gross. The family had two dads next to us were drunk at 5, their wives hiding in the tents. Kids running around having to listen to thier fathers screaming "fuck" every 5 minutes. Just not a good place to stay... read more

Very dissatisfied! When we got there no one was in the office ... sign said they would be back at 3 pm, so we proceeded to the sites I was given when I made the arrangements several months ago. My daughter and I went back to the office a little after 3 to pay. My daughter was told they would have to move their camper which was all set up and hooked up to water, electric and sewer. When I called 2 days ago they confirmed our sites--I had requested that my daughter and he family be next to each other. When I questioned that, the guy said their policy stated they can move people if needed. Needless to say after arguing with him about how I made the reservations months ago and confirmed them 2 days ago, he said they would have to move. The site he moved them to is not across it next to us! My 3 year old granddaughter likes to come over to our site, so now we have to walk to the other site to get her. It's hard to believe that when you make reservations months in advance and confirm them two days prior to your visit that things change that quick. He had no explanation as to why he moved my daughter. He did on the other hand give her a reduced rate, but my son-in-law had to unhook everything and move the camper and rehook everything up again. What a pain! So very dissatisfied with what they did to be and how they treated me! read more

Good place to set up a tent, sleep and go. Stayed here three nights. Sites were clean, restroom clean, had vinyl siding on the inside never saw that before but it appears to work. Showers were hot. Close to everything in shelburne and burlington. But nothing exciting to do in the campground itself. Pool was cold and at one point unfiltered but I think it was clean the second day. No real playground or amything for kids to do on site. Not very private or wooded but ok like I said to use as a place to sleep only. read more

We stayed for one night. Our experience was not terrible I was just expecting the sites to be a bit bigger than they were. Our neighbors were right outside our tent. The office sells wood for $5 a milk crate, which would have been a good deal if it was not wet and moldy. Every site does have a sandy sectioned off spot to set up your tent. But if you have a big tent it will not fit. My site had a very mild tilt compared to my neighbors. They are reasonably priced for what you get. read more

This is a great, year-round campsite that is 15 minutes away from Burlington and has reasonable rates. The camp itself is pretty straightforward, with enough space for either an RV or a car and tent. There are clean restrooms and showers but there is no handsoap so bring your own. The people in the office are helpful and they offer firewood and other supplies for purchase in case you forget anything. Even though the campsites were pretty close to each other, it was very quiet. However, we were in a tent and everyone else around us was in an RV because it was April and it got very cold at night. I'm sure in the summer there's more noise when more people go tent camping or hang out outside. For what it's worth, I think this campground is a great value and I would come back and stay here the next time I visit Burlington. read more

Avoid this campground like the plague if you can. The campsites are right on top of each other, so you have absolutely no privacy. Our tent site was mixed in around a bunch of RV sites. Some of the neighbors in RVs were really obnoxious, screaming and hollering at their kids starting around 7AM. We had no fire pit at our site. Recently stayed here in one their trailers, it clean , comfortable . We have stayed here for MANY years and always have had a good relationship with the owner and his son . Anything we needed was taken care of quickly. The laundry and showers were very clean and no charge. The only problem was the internet was not available where we were located, the owner told us that it was going to be taken care of next year.
