Thank you Brandon for taking out my smart meter and putting in my requested digital meter. I will now pay a very small fee each month to have my meter read by a meter reader. I am now considered an opt out customer. This was a very big decision for me to choose to have my smart meter removed and replaced with a digital meter. This meter will read for both gas and electricity. Brandon was outstanding at his job and I enjoyed talking with him, he has been with NV energy for 14 years. The install took around 20 minutes and I am really happy for the digital meter as a NV Energy new opt out customer. Thanks to NV Energy & Brandon S for great service. This is my first home and I chose this meter for accurate account of what gas & electricity I use daily. Every e-mail response came through an encrypted message system that I couldn't even open or read. A basic account transfer should not be this difficult. Contacted NVEnergy through their (775) 834-4444 number. Spoke to a representative named Kaleb(Caleb?) He was absolutely amazing, patient, understanding and committed. He helped me figure out the details, transferred the account to my name (my mother passed) forgave any late fees or penalties, patiently waited for me to confirm my email and login (as I would have issues receiving emails under my mother's account) and was just very forthcoming and respectful. Nevada energy qualified appliance replacement August 5th 2025 the dishwasher was damaged indentations paint missing I said something to the installer he disregarded me and I told him I wasn't going to accept the dishwasher also had yellow liquid and it when they were carrying it through the garage and detergent was coming out of the dishwasher a brand new dishwasher does not have detergent in it then when they hooked up the dishwasher everything inside the dishwasher burst into the hoses and they had to unclog the hoses and they started to do that in my sink which would unclog my other hoses and I said something and then they took it outside and then they banged the hoses all on my steps that will lead to my front doors instead of taking it to a trash can and didn't clean up their mess and left their empty water bottles and their trash they left in the box in my garage instead of taking it with them or asking for trash can. I looked up the decoder online for the serial number model number it says it was a 2015 model so this is definitely not anywhere near a new model that they advertised and they also advertise that it's the one year warranty I called Frigidaire warranty for my model number and serial number and they told me since I'm the second person to own it Nevada energy purchase it first and then I received the dishwasher because I'm low income for free they said it wasn't under warranty my warranty was voided so Nevada energy qualified appliance replacement advertises one year warranty this is false advertisement and I don't feel I received a new dishwasher and it was damaged upon arrival. And I asked the installer do not remove my two stainless steel hoses underneath the kitchen sink he left one and the other one was missing when he Departed the property and he installed the plastic one. After cleaning up the concrete outside of their mess of the detergent that they have banged all over my steps leading to my front door I went inside to wash my hands in the kitchen sink and then water poured all over underneath the sink the installer did not tighten up pipes that he and did and he didn't test the water before he left either and he didn't show me how to operate the dishwasher and the manual and the paperwork on it didn't come in a zip lock bag or any plastic bag he just handed it to me and it was all wrinkled definitely signs of a used Frigidaire dishwasher. I emailed right after the installer left qualified appliance replacement Nevada energy and told them the problems that I was having. I also contacted the business for the installer Maroma energy they said they were going to send out people to replace the dishwasher that they just installed they made an appointment August 7th 2025 then they called me at the last minute after me waiting all day long and told me they changed their mind for me if I had a complaint to contact Nevada energy which I did days went by and then when I contacted him let him know August 11th 2025 that the warranty company was not warranty this dishwasher because I was a second owner and I got it for free and they said they need to see a receipt. Then Nevada energy finally contact me and asked me multiple questions that they wanted to review my complaint so I had huge documentation and photos and PDFs everything and they still denied my claim to replace the dishwasher and they blew me off as far as the warranty you cannot advertise on their website that they have warranty and then you don't receive the warranty for one year this is misrepresentation false advertisement and I don't feel I got a new dishwasher the appliance decoder online with two different companies stated with my serial number model number Frigidaire dishwasher it stated it was a 2015 on two different sites for the appliance decoder. I'm very dissatisfied big waste of time emailing with documentation they had their mind made up already I am a senior citizen I feel like I've been taking advantage of I do not recommend this company the worst customer service, so now I have a dishwasher with no warranty cosmetic damage on it and it's not working properly. There's a start button and there's a council button if you hold the cancel button for 3 seconds it's supposed to turn off the dishwasher I've done that many times and the only way you can turn off the dishwasher is to unplug it. On top of that it was supposed to come my model number Frigidaire dishwasher supposed to come with an insulated blanket on top of it the installer brought it in with no insulation blanket and I asked him about why it doesn't have it on and he said it didn't need it I said can I take the insulating blanket off my old dishwasher that you just removed from my property he said no he didn't want to be bothered he just slid the dishwasher in underneath the cabinet and it had a plastic sheet over it no insulation blanket and I was told that that was going to catch fire. they denied my claim and reneged on changing out the dishwasher. read more

Went in today to ask questions regarding a guarantor on my account, quickly got shot down with no care of understanding the situation. Just "you didn't pay your bill on time, so in order to remove them, pay the whole balance." Couldn't even ask any further questions cause she was so dismissive, then said I can only talk to a supervisor. But there's none on site, I have to call them again over the number. And guess what? Removed the guarantor with no problem. I needed to finalize my bill and shut off my service because I'm moving out the state, so I thought going in person was better than getting the run around with the automated phone system & agents needing to ask someone else. I cannot call in as guess what I don't have the account number not to mention the account is in my sons name and I pay the bill, we divide expenses. And when you go online to try to pay towards your payment arrangement, it doesn't give you the option for that. Only the option to pay in full, then tries to take me to another website a third-party if you must to pay my stupid bill through a third-party it doesn't give me the option to click on payment arrangement and pay towards my payment arrangement. The technician came out to switch to the smart thermostat wired out ac wrong and left our upstairs AC broken. We came home to a 87 degree house, called NV Energy, Nancy the representative told us he (the technician) wired it correctly, he will not come back and fix it. The representative was nasty, she absolutely wasn't listening to us, kept telling us it is our AC that is broken, even though she couldn't explain why before the technician touched my AC, it was at 75 degrees and after him, my AC just won't work... We ended up paying our own AC guy to fix it... Do not switch to the FREE THERMOSTAT....the FREE will cost you. The technicians they hires are not professional and you will end up with broken AC like us.... We just had our AC serviced beginning of the summer to ensure everything is good, so yeah, we are pissed. read more

Then the next bill demanded a deposit saying I didn't pay, and if I didn't pay the deposit they said they would charge me late fees. All the while they received payment on time. I'm giving stars and a slightly positive review only because in all fairness I've never had issues with NV Energy (until I did) and because of the supervisor I spoke with on the phone named Lucy. Lucy, thank you. You had insight when no one else seemed to take the time and be willing to listen and help me. I was told different things by every rep I spoke with, given different amounts due. I felt defeated because I was going to end up getting almost $400 vs the $200 they said they would take out my bank. I was in a panic because I couldn't afford $400 to be taken out. And I was in the right about the mistake in the amount due and no one wanted to listen to me. But Lucy helped me out and was able to clear the miscommunication and charges. It's pretty scary that a single company has a monopoly on a needed resource for people. So people don't have a choice but to do as they say even when we are in the right. We can't simply go somewhere else and get what we need. I understand working with frustrated customers and complaints is taxing and hard. I don't like being rude to representatives but some of them are so uncaring and can't be bothered to simply assess the situation from the customer's point of view. The company isn't always in the right and customers can be correct too. I wish more of the reps there had the willingness to help that Lucy had with me. Lucy saved me from so many money issues this issue would've been caused had they just gone through and taken my money. It's like a domino effect when bills are due, one thing topples and everything else does too. I'm just so thankful I was able to avoid that, scary to think I could've had to pay even more money I didn't have overdraft and late fees and not having enough for food and gas. read more

On Thursday, August, 18th, 2022 at approximately 0645 hours, I called NV Energy to better understand my current bill as my past bills were all 13 to 20 bucks, because we have solar. Well I spoke to a girl named Merna or Mirna in the, so called Billing Department and lets just say wow how clueless and rude. I basically start off by explaining I have solar and had it for two years now and the first year I know I wouldn't see much of a price difference due to being brand new to it. Yet the second year not seeing a price drop was incorrect. Merna / Mirna began immediately stating the funny bs line they're told to read off about having teenagers using the thermostat, thermostat set to low, unclean AC, clean air filters, items left plugged in that aren't in use, and etc. Well as she is saying all of this I told her that we do not leave anything plugged in and haven't done anything different as our kids are young and not teens and never once touched our thermostat, things left plugged nothing, and etc. She cut me off and said well we have hot and humid months and your last bill was high and the 4 months are normally high. I told her not when you leave your thermostat at 78 degrees and it barely comes on due to leaving it at the said 78. She again cuts me off claiming now that I once a year get earned credits for the solar panels and I used all m credits lol. She said I had credit when it was installed back in April which is false as I have family and friends who've been doing this for over 40 years and stated the first year you won't see any price changes. As I was clearly getting nowhere with understanding the bill and it was clear she was dumb and ignorant and kept using excuses for the heat which I lived here all my life, I asked for my new number to be put in the system, so I can get into my account. She claims to have done this and as she was getting ready to hang up she stayed on the line to legit keep me from doing the survey lol yeah F these clowns, NV Energy hires some real a** holes who get away with disrespecting people. Can't wait to see new Energy companies coming in this State instead of having one bs one that mistreats customers. When I had to call back I spoke with a girl named Nikki who was honestly a 5 star rep who listened and actually did her job while being beyond polite and even allowed me to speak to a Supervisor about the last rep. UPDATE: On 08/22/2022 I posted this Yelp review...NV Energy Social Media Team reached out, I followed their instructions and got a prompt callback from Rep. SCOTT, same day. He was professional, kind and spent a good amount of time with me as I explained the firestorm of issues I was having with NV ENERGY. He apologized, and was forwarding my constructive feedback to management, he stated all issues were fixed and won't be a problem again. I have updated this from a 1 star to a 3 star, I will update it further in the month to come. Thank you. Over the last 5 months getting a hold of a customer service rep via email or telephone has been close to impossible due to impossible hold times. Horrible follow up, un-trained representatives, and the never ending cycle of red tape expectations and hoops that NV Energy has caused, yet NV Energy has absolutely no accountability. Every one of 4 different issues with 4 different properties has been an absolute headache to handle due to NV Energy's neglect and unreal expectations, when they have no expectations for themselves. I have had a good 10 yrs dealing with them and in the last 5 months they have ruined their own reputation with me.
