When it's lunchtime, it's always one of the hot sandwiches from my childhood....hot turkey, beef, or meatloaf on bread, usually with fries and gravy over everything. The thing I always liked was that the turkey was always real.....as in real sliced turkey. I was there last week for a late lunch, early dinner and I saw that one of the specials was a turkey dinner. That was all I had to see. I chose a salad as my side. That was my first big mistake. When I told my friends, they all said. Ewwww, you should NEVER order a salad there and I found out for myself, why. The lettuce was all brown edged, looked over chilled and somewhat mushy with two sliced of cucumber. The cucumber was fresh which made the lettuce look even worse. Then came the entree. All I saw was a sea of gravy, which is fine. I started to get into the meal and went for the dressing/stuffing. It was a gray/beige color, very wet and it looked like someone put bread in water and wrang it out by squeezing their hand. The fries were fries. No problem there. Then I saw it. The turkey was round, all the same thickness and all the same shape. I crashed big time. Decades of my life were slapped in the face and I felt betrayed. When the server came to the table she asked, "Aren't you hungry?" I said, "Uhh not really." And she replied, "I understand." I'm hesitant to go back, even for breakfast and especially not for a hot turkey sandwich. If I saw round turkey on that, I don't know what I'd do! So, if you're looking for breakfast...fine. Anything else....you're on your own. Thanks for the memories, at least.

I have the chorizo plate that was perfectly flavorful for the spicy foods that I like. We got there at about lunch time on a weekday and still had to wait about 15 minutes. Definitely a lot of people waiting but this place gets you in and out quickly! Our service was very friendly but also very fast. They are used to their crowds you can tell! Comfortable place for the most part and there is another room in the back where they see people so it's bigger than it looks.

I ordered the avocado toast and it arrived quickly and looked awful. It tasted as awful as it looked. The avocados were old and bitter. I order this everywhere and there's usually some onions or tomatoes and lime juice mixed in. This was just old avocados. The server came by to check and I told her it was bad and to take it away. She never asked if I wanted something else or to try the toast again. The manager came by a little later asking if all was ok. Told him about the avocado and he was extremely interested in helping but I just didn't feel like eating anymore. They did take the toast off our check.

One of the best things about the eggs benedict is that it didn't taste just like the sauce, which is common. Instead you got the full medley of flavors from the egg and all the fixings. We also got their classic Italian bread french toast which is so buttery by itself you really almost don't need syrup. Served by very friendly but very efficient waitresses. The only downside, which this restaurant can't really control, is that parking is a pain and is expensive. But that's just a nature of the way the Strip District has grown. We didn't have any other sandwiches but they look like they would be delicious and this would be a good place for a brunch or lunch as well.

SAUSAGE & CHEESE OMELETTE + Lyonnaise potatoes (side) + whole wheat bread (toast) The sausage & cheese (we asked for Swiss instead of American) omelette itself wasn't anything worth raving about as it was pretty typical. However, the Lyonnaise potatoes were phenomenal. It's that in between "hash and mash" texture, and it was seasoned incredibly well. The potatoes were definitely the highlight here, and the omelette was good protein, I guess. Definitely forgot about the whole wheat bread. BLUEBERRY HOTCAKES Soft, crepe-like wrap (a bit thicker than crepe but thiner than pancake) wrapped around blueberries and whipped cream. This was not too sweet and quire savory. They're known for their hotcakes at Pamela's and I can see why. I don't remember the individual pricing for each, but both were under $25 total. Definitely great tasting food for a phenomenal price. I highly recommend!
