4.5 stars. DeLuca's Diner has two locations: this one in Robinson Township and another, original location in the Strip District. Both locations sell breakfast foods, sandwiches, salads, milkshakes, etc. Please see my attached photos for the menu in July 2024. In the past couple of years, my husband and I have been customers of this restaurant in Robinson several times. Our seating hostesses and waitresses have always promptly and courteously served us, so I rate them as 5 stars. Here are my reviews for the foods that we ate during our breakfasts and lunches: Egg's Benedict - 4 stars - My husband liked the taste of this eggs Benedict, but he said that it included a lot of sauce. The potatoes on the side tasted OK. Denver omelette - 4 stars - This omelette was a large size and was filled with ham, peppers, onions, and cheese. My husband seemed to like it, and he ate all of it. Banana-split crepe - 4 stars - This crepe contained fresh bananas, strawberries, blueberries, hot fudge, caramel, and pecans. The taste was very sweet. Malibu burger - 4 stars - This burger was very large, and it contained mushrooms, bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, red peppers, and honey-mustard mayonnaise. Sweet-potato fries - 4.5 stars - These waffle fries were flavorful and crispy. Triple-decker turkey club sandwich - 5 stars - This sandwich was very tall and tasted DELICIOUS! The sourdough bread was perfectly buttered and toasted, and my husband and I greatly enjoyed the flavors of the turkey, crispy bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and mayonnaise (no tomato at my husband's request). This sandwich is my husband's favorite go-to menu item. Banana-split waffle sundae - 5 stars - This large entree would usually contain hotcakes, but I replaced them with a blueberry waffle. The toppings were ice cream, bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, and walnuts. I enjoyed these fruity flavors very much. Tossed salad - 4 stars - This side salad contained fresh lettuce, cheese, etcetera. It was simple but good. Bacon - 5 stars - This bacon was cooked well and was perfectly crispy. Fruit bowl - 4 stars - I enjoyed the cantaloupe and blueberries, but the strawberries were a little too ripe. Strawberry milkshake - 5 stars - I liked the sweet flavor and the consistency of this milkshake. Chocolate milkshake - 5 stars - My husband drank all of this milkshake and seemed to enjoy it. Root-beer float - 5 stars - My husband drank this float, and he liked it. Cherry-lemonade soda - 5 stars - This soda was a unique and enjoyable combination of cherry and lemonade.

Delucas never disappoints! Hearty portions, always filling, always delicious! A great omelet is always the way to start a day. Today, I got the Bionic Omelet, 6 Egg Omelet w/Sweet & Hot Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Onions, Cheddar, American & Provolone. Loved it, with a side of home fries, and Sourdough toast. If you love breakfast, this is the place!

Deluca's is my "go to greasy spoon" breakfast joint when in the Pittsburgh area. This diner is located near the Robinson Town Centre with plenty of parking. There's another location at the Strip but we've only visited this site. The interior has your classic dinner atmosphere and there's usually a line to get in the door. That said, I've never waited longer than 15 minutes to be seated with parties of 4 or less. Staff are always on it, happy to give you their take on the menu and I've always enjoyed visiting with them. Deluca's is all about the omelets. There are various options and they are a little pricey ($10-$20) per plate depending on your selection. My go to is the banana pepper omelet with hot sausage. This thing is big, the sausage is delicious and I love their in-house enchilada sauce they spread over the omelet. This dish comes with home fries and Mancini's fresh baked bread (toast). Mancini's Bread Co. is another Pittsburgh staple that's worth checking out (try the pepperoni rolls). I've also enjoyed the country fried chicken and biscuits. On a recent visit my wife got a burger and it was huge. This place is Pittsburgh!

We've stopped in numerous times for breakfast while in the Robinson Area and have been happy each time. Service is typically fast and friendly. You know what you're getting at a classic diner for lunch or all day breakfast. During our most recent stop we decided to try a couple different items from our usual picks. I had the corn beef hash breakfast. I would suggest to ask for it well done and crispy which upped the flavor ten fold. My son had the French Toast which was beautiful to look at but tough to cut through. A steak knife may have helped, but it was still a struggle. We will be back again but the classic pancakes will be back on the menu for us. Tip: If it's cold out, skip the first two booths if you can. When they open the door, it's a straight shot of cold air aimed at your table. We moved and so did a few other people while we were there.

Great experience. Funky diner with great service and good food. The local kielbasa was grilled perfectly and a nice surprise. It's touristy but there were locals there too. Will come again.

While staying nearby I came here for breakfast to try one of their Mexican breakfast options... I asked the server which was best between the breakfast burrito and the huevos rancheros - she said it was a tough choice, but go with the burrito, which I did. I was sitting at the counter and could watch the kitchen work, which was nice... it was clean, they were in sync back there and though the restaurant was rather busy, being half packed, they were very quick to make my order, all very freshly made! When this thing cae out, it was HUGE! It was served on a platter! My comment about how big it was, was met with, "the MOAB - Mother of all Burritos is bigger!" WOW!! Good thing I went for the basic breakfast burrito then!! It tasted great! The flavor of their sauce on top was excellent and the refried beans inside really rounded out the flavors. They make it with any choice of proteins and I opted for their chorizo, which tasted like a nicely-done chili. I was full by the time I ate half, but I had a few more bites before giving up. Definitely would recommend stopping in here... This is one of the best breakfasts I've had in my many many visits to this area!

My favorite Pittsburgh diner! Service is always friendly and quick. Food always hits the spot. Even on weekend mornings, I've never waited more than 20 minutes for a table. There's a counter if you're alone or in a pair. The decor is a classic retro diner (including red booths). Don't go here if you're expecting trendy ingredients or presentation - come hungry for delicious greasy diner food!

Omg...Super yummy. Super fast. Excellent service. Great teamwork but the entire staff. Very fair prices and very generous portions. It's a diner. It's fits the mold of a classic American dinner (in a strip mall). Absolutely will return. I understand they have more than just this location, and I hope they others are just as good.

Great wall art mirrors their fantastic service!

This is a quintessential hometown Diner. It bustled with locals who know where to go for great affordable food and employees that treat you like one of their own. We were sat almost immediately despite how busy it was; they truly work hard. We ordered various omelettes with lots of sides included. Being from California, I got a puzzled look when I asked for salsa but Melinda didn't miss a beat and came out with some red sauce that worked perfectly. The plates were gigantic, the food appeared quickly, and the place has great atmosphere. It's just plain fun to be there. The price is right, the food tasted homemade delicious and our waitress Melinda was fantastic! I'm a Veteran and stories were shared about her own daughter in the Air Force. You come as a customer and leave like family. Highly recommend this place for an awesome Diner experience like days of old!

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).
