Initially, we emailed and called about the epoxy floor and possibly some garage cabinets. Kenny was timely and informative throughout, fielding my multiple questions from out of state. We were able to schedule the epoxy floor installation for the week following our move-in to the house. It took about 4 days from beginning to end. His installers are polite and hard working, and most importantly: effective. We are very happy with the finished product, a beige earthtone with little flecks embedded into it. It is very easy now to clean the garage floor of dust, grass, and liquid. So far, we've only had to use a broom and wet paper towels; but we're sure a warm water mop will come in handy in the future. As for the cabinets, those are more detailed and required a lot more back-and-forth communication, which Kenny handled professionally and timely. We found a lot of choices at the Redline Garage Gear website, which helped our decision-making. From a hidden trash can cabinet, to a parts drawer, to a workbench top and included lighting, we are extremely happy with the finished product. The garage cabinets - and the wall-mounted "Handi-Wall" product - have made our garage a functional and attractive workspace. The cabinets and wall-mounts took about 3 days, if I recall correctly, and a nice touch: when they were done, Kenny called me out to the garage as he was helping to hang various items to give me an idea how to organize things. The only challenge throughout the whole process was a few day delay in the garage cabinet installation due to Black Diamond's busy season. Kenny, however, proactively called me to ensure that would be OK with us, and we agreed together on the next best possible date (only a few days later) so that quality would be maintained, which it certainly was. Kenny and Black Diamond provided us with a beautiful garage that is attractive and functional, and he communicated proactively with me throughout a 2.5 month process. We are happy with the finished products and happily recommend him and his team to anyone wanting to finish out their garage.

We used them for carpet replacement, backsplash demo and install, and floor demo and wood install. The sales reps are very agreeable and are good salesmen...confident in their products/service and make lots of promises. Have a pretty quick turnaround with ordering and install. Depending on the scope of project, they send in a large crew to get in and get the job done. Cons: The quality of the job lies in whatever crew and Project Manager gets assigned to your project. The sales rep becomes a middle man of trying to give "the customer is always right" vibe (or "let's keep the customer happy") AND "got to keep the PM happy or he'll probably leave the job with his crew". Sales rep will say, "yes, we can do that, let's make it right." Then the PM comes in and says, "the slab was uneven, that's normal, nothing we can do about it." The "we can fix this portion of the job, it's easy, just need to do this..." then becomes "choose the worst couple of spots and we'll fix those" because of pushback and excuses from the crew. No quality control. I'm giving two stars because they did a good job with our carpet installs, and our Sales Reps were nice guys. Just wish our "nice guys" could have had a crew that knew what they were doing and took more pride in their work. I've talked to other customers that had other crews work on their projects, and they did not have any of the same issues as we did. And they were surprised when they saw the pictures I'm posting.

It was a difficult time to find services for our new home and we settled on Lonestar Carpet for all of our carpet and laminate flooring based on a handful of online reviews that looked promising. The sales rep we had told us we were getting the best of the best (price was not our biggest concern as we wanted good value and longevity) and that we would get years of good use and value from our $8k + purchase with his company. Red flags- Right away there were problems. The pad we ordered was not the pad that showed up on installation day and one of the installers told my husband that he had never installed flooring before that day. When we called, the rep told us that he had misquoted us for the wrong pad and getting the correct pad would add thousands of dollars and weeks of time to our install. We were frustrated but we made the call, we didn't have weeks to wait. We had already put off moving in to get this job scheduled After installation- The installation of the laminate flooring was shoddy and the transitions started popping up right away. We also noticed seams in our carpets within a few months. We tried to call several times and got no answer. The companies who provided the materials refused to talk to us, sending us back to our rep. We ran in circles. It is what it is- The time in our life was incredibly chaotic and we made the decision to do what we could to mitigate the issues and moved on with life. Looking back, I wish I would have had the bandwidth to push harder or drive to their corporate office to talk face to face, but things in 2020 were difficult and we let it go. 2023- time for new laminate- The problems with the laminate had gotten so bad we decided to replace it once and for all. We found another company with lifetime product and installation warranties and set the date. My husband pulled up the old flooring and the reason for all of the lifting and cupping became very obvious. There was no moisture barrier installed on the concrete sun floor, no preparation of any kind, nothing. We looked up the installation manual for the flooring (we still had a box in the garage) and found a guide from 2017 stating that a moisture barrier of at least 6mm must be installed on concrete sub floors. "We could just walk away" - We called the rep, he and his boss took two days to get back to us. When he called us with his answer it was that "the company changed its policy on moisture barriers in DEC of 2020 and since our floors were installed in August of 2020 "we could just walk away from you." He went on to say "the floors have no warranty, zip" and "we don't have to do anything to help you." When I tried to tell him I had found something from 2017 indicating that was not correct he talked over me, became agitated, and told me that his company would "go above and beyond" by filling out a claim form against the flooring manufacturer. In short, Lonestar Carpet was not going to do anything to stand behind its work or its customer. Their "above and beyond" was to fill out a claim form, which the sales rep told me repeatedly he "didn't have to do." Take aways- There are a lot of flooring companies with excellent reputations. Many of them stand behind their products and services with lifetime installation warranties representing companies who offer the same on their products. Why would you choose a company that considers it "above and beyond" to fill out a form and pass the buck to the manufacturer? Why would you choose a company who employs sales representatives who yell at and blame their customers? I feel that my family and I were taken advantage of in many ways by this company. I will not be having them fill out a claim form, or provide any other services for me and I am warning as many people who will listen to shop around. Flooring is a huge investment, it is supposed to last a long time, the company you choose will be represented in your home for years. We learned the hard way so you don't have to.

The workers try to be careful but unexpected things happen and the team/William were quick to fix things! The team wants to please the customer and go out of the way to accomplish this. They asked us if they should rebuild our stairway to make longer treads so our cat could more easily access our porch! And he loves his stairway. And we couldn't be happier. We are planning a neighborhood party in October to show off our new porch.

They would not acknowledge that the issues were their responsibility. I hired a private floor inspector to get a second opinion. TPF has tried to place all of the issues that I see with the floor under the HVAC not being on when the floor was installed last June. However, the inspector found that the subfloor preparation was at fault and NONE of the issues I'm experiencing are related to HVAC. I gave them a chance to collaborate a solution with me and their response was not to take responsibility in any way, they wouldn't even answer the email. The company will not honor their 1 year installation warranty on labor. The installer was Nelvke, which they told me was their best installer however the inspector found deviations all throughout the 2600 sqft of installed floor. I paid 17K for this floor. I paid for leveler and they did not make sure the sub floor was flat before installing. Beware and steer away from this company.

We ended up at Lowes and for $600 we are getting stain master carpeting, with a high quality stain master pad (they offer three grades of padding), and that price includes installation.

Our rep didn't think through the job and asked the day of install about our baseboards then claimed it was a "client change" to the job. I didn't think of the baseboard situation as I don't do this for a living. There sales rep did not do enough due diligence guiding us through our vision. The wood floor itself is great and high quality but the rest was a nightmare. Don't have them do anything other than flooring - their light construction and painting is honestly incompetent and terrible. Lastly, new carpet for our family room. They upsold us a super plush pad then failed to write it up correctly. When I asked why the pad was not correct (after install) they acted like I'm a carpet pad expert and I ordered the blah blah blah 8 pound something or other. They were wrong, got it wrong, I opted not to PAY to fix it so I'll live with it, I guess. Overall, terrible experience but it could be the rep I got. Totally uncoordinated and a lack of communication for what we needed for this project. Very disappointed since we used Soleil as a referral from a friend.
