I paid $85 for 2, approximately, 5x8 rugs to be cleaned. They had spent a year in Iraq getting very dusty and then another several months laid upon by my dog. They came back still covered in dog hair but they smelled ok so it was an improvement. I laid them both out to vacuum them and after vacuuming the undersides I started to roll them back up and found the most disgusting, thick layer of gray dirt on my floor! We swept it all up and estimated that there was easily about 1/2 a cup! I knew my rugs were dirty but THAT'S WHY I BROUGHT THEM IN TO BE CLEANED!! When I called to ask for a refund we were told we would get one without hesitation, so we rolled them back up and packed them on our moving truck to be moved 2 days later. 8 hours later he called back to refuse the refund unless he could see the rugs - and even then he wouldn't refund the money but re-clean them. I explained that they were already packed deep inside the truck and we had to leave town in 2 days, but I had photos. He absolutely refused to even look at the photos. So, I am left with 2 FILTHY rugs and am $85 poorer. DO NOT trust these people to "wash" your rugs! Go to Dombourian Oriental Rugs instead! They are a bit more expensive but take about 2 weeks to thoroughly clean, dry and stretch them. If I hadn't waited until the last minute I would have taken mine there in the first place. I had the water cut off because of if I did not it would be a week later, my mistake so I went a purchased 6 gals of water and asked if more was needed. The electricity was still on but she nor the one other person with her vaccumed the stairs nor cleaned or mopped the lower bathroom. Now she cleaned the kitchen fairly well and when I saw that I was fooled and pulled in but oh when I looked into the pantry never touched just as dirty as she found it. And as she was winding down to leave my son went in to check his room and he said both was done, now mind you it was dirty but she explained that he was still in there and she had moved on downstairs. My son had been out in his car for pretty close to a n hour when she finished the kitchen and living room , she still found no need to inform anyone of the foolishness that she was not returning. She cleaned the refrigerator and all the food was placed in a bag and say outside of the door and left with no word again. There is much more but I am tired of it all but needless to say I had call and get another company to come out and properly clean which meant I incurred addition cost. My son in law came over and said I think your motor is acting up. Call a repairman. I looked on line and found Crescent Appliance Service, which was less than a mile away from me. an older man came to my house to look at my dryer. (I forgot his name) Anyway, he came over my house the following day at 10am. I took him into my laundry room. He turned on my dryer. It was squealing. He pulled the plug and said you need a new motor. I said ... well, ok... what would that cost? He said it isn't worth putting one in. I don't even know if a motor for that dryer exists anymore. He then proceeded to hand me a business card of an appliance place that a "lady friend" if his works at. He said call her, mention mine and she will take care of you. He then took out a receipt pad and wrote out a bill for me to pay... he handed it to me and it was for $100.00!! One hundred dollars!!! I started to laugh.. he said why are you laughing. This is my service call fee!! I said... you have to be joking!! You pulled the plug and have been here, maybe 5 min. And You didn't travel far! He got angry. I didn't like the look on his face. So I paid him the $100 And he left! Geesh!! I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and it takes my one and a half hours to make $100. And I'm putting a lot of physical labor into my profession. I did not go to the place he recommended. I found a used almost new gas dryer for sale by a neighbor who had it posted on Facebook Market place. For $175.00 and the man I bought it from lived several blocks away and he delivered it and him & my son in law placed it in my laundry room. DO NOT USE CRESCENT APPLIANCE SERVICE CENTER!!! LOCATED IN HARAHAN THIS MAN IS A RIPOFF ARTIST!!

After hours and hours of researching moving companies for my relocation from New Orleans to…read moreHouston, and reading horror stories about even some of the more well-known and highly rated national companies, and their responses, which all took pains to point out that there was bound to a few disgruntled clients, I found ADmovers and after a call to them, in which they gave acceptable answers to key questions: 'They themselves do the moving; they are not a broker; guaranteed next day unloading in Houston(barring acceptable unforseen circumstances) -no warehousing of our stuff for weeks before delivery - one flat fee once the assessment of the cost of the move has been made (no jacking up of the price when half the stuff has been loaded, etc,) The were very professional in all aspects of the process but on top of that they displayed a courtesy and just plain kindness towards two septuagenarians by accommadating some requests which were outside of their remit. They dismantled, transported and re-assembled our furniture without any breakage, marring or loss, (the destination was a 2-storey house and our bedroom furniture is heavy solid mahogany.
