During the time they were…read morein my house they noticed that I had some spiritual items and began a conversation that turned into a 60min discussion of how I was going to hell and needed to be saved, how LGBT people have "a mental disease", how the earth is only 6000 years old, and how Jewish people, Catholics, Muslims, and people of other faiths are going to hell as they are not saved. I am a woman living alone & did not feel fully safe after the tech gave an analogy about God's love and free will that opened with "if I kidnapped you and locked you in my basement and made you my wife..." - so instead of pushing back firmly I just tried to smile and nod my way through it. After he left I realized how deeply inappropriate and unprofessional the interaction was. It also turned out there was nothing actually wrong with my dryer (seems like it had just frozen up, but worked fine when he first arrived and tested it), so I paid $180 for him to clean dust from the unit with a toothbrush while telling me I was going to hell. I am still trying to unpack the whole situation. He also kept trying to convince me to go to his megachurch, Victory Life. I don't think it's appropriate to proselytize on the job? When he left he also asked me whether I lived alone. I felt pretty uncomfortable

I did what we all do and hopped online to find the quickest fix possible. I stumbled upon Justin's yelp page and saw the rave reviews. I called him without hesitation. To my surprise he was able to come the next morning! I was filled with relief knowing I only had to make it one night through the unbearable heat. Later that night, however, the air seemed to be working again! Huzzah! I texted Justin that I no longer needed him. Upon waking at 5am, however, I realized the A/C had given me false hope and was broken once again. Later that morning I called Justin hoping he'd still be free. Not only was he free, but he was at my house within hours. Within 30 seconds of arriving Justin knew exactly what the issue was. He walked me through the steps I could take to prevent it from happening again and gave me tips on how to not get scammed by other contractors. I had also been having issues with my dishwasher which he kindly took a look at. A true jack of all trades! If you need a contractor, handyman, or just a reliable guy to chat with, Justin is your guy.

(which meant I couldn't control my heat or AC - quite uncomfortable,) Justin agreed to fix it and pay half of of a new one. (Seemed strange that he would only pay half since he basically didn't complete the work.) I talked to him twice over a few week period and he said he would come back and fix it. It's now been a month and haven't heard back from him so, I gave up, bought a new thermostat and installed it myself. Gene D'Amour

Called Mike on Thursday to see if he could save my ancient (parts-discontinued) wall oven (50+…read moreyears) that was having trouble getting up to the correct temperature after I had replaced the dry rotted gaskets that fell off by piecing together similar ones since they no longer sell ones for my model. I could see that the door wasn't closing all the way but didn't know what to do. I need to squeeze a couple more years out of it since they don't make them narrow enough to fit in that wall anymore! Mike came out the same day (in torrential flooding rain,) said I actually did a great job with the gaskets and he was able to adjust the door hinges so that it closes properly now. I was able to make bread at 450 degrees that night with no problem, when it could barely reach 350 before he came. Someone else on here complained about having to pay a service call for something that took only a few minutes. Well, I was thrilled to do it because I appreciated his honesty and expertise which saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. And making a trip to someone's house for free doesn't put food on his table. He gave me a $10 discount since he wasn't there long. Very grateful! I'll definitely call Mike again if I need any other appliance repair. Thanks so much!

I will call Mike again, first this time, for any personal or client needs regarding appliances

Do not deal with these people…read more I called this company to fix my oven, and they completely misdiagnosed the issue. They claimed the heating element needed to be replaced, charged me $100 for the diagnosis, then another $250 to install a new element. After spending $350, my oven still didn't work. When they came back out, they suddenly decided the real issue was the motherboard--something they failed to check the first time. Now they want another $300 to fix their own mistake! When I asked for a refund for their incorrect diagnosis, I was met with extreme rudeness, especially from an employee named Page, who was not only unprofessional but outright dishonest about the situation. This company refuses to take responsibility for their own errors, and their lazy, careless approach to diagnosing appliances is completely unacceptable. They should have properly assessed the issue from the start instead of making assumptions and wasting my time and money. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to go elsewhere--you'll save yourself a lot of frustration and unnecessary expenses.

This was an absolute nightmare of a service visit. I called them in to diagnose a Bosch dishwasher…read morethat will randomly stop its wash cycle and report the cycle clean, despite having standing water in the basin. We seemed to be able to fix the problem by rolling the dishwasher out and jiggling the drain in the back--but this was getting tiring so I decided to try to get someone out to fix it. The technician roughly pulled it from the wall, opened it while the cycle was running, and began looking around inside. He was unable to diagnose the problem, but after his expert service, the seals at the bottom of the door were totally shot, causing the dishwasher to gush water onto the floor. The technician and the service dispatcher said this was obviously MY fault, for having an old dishwasher. The fact that the thing has never leaked before was chalked up to a coincidence. "Seals get old," I was patronizingly informed, as if seals naturally "get old" in 10 minutes after someone yanks your dishwasher out and pops the door open while the cycle is running. Destroying my dishwasher cost me $115. The technician was clueless (none of his explanations for the problem I actually called them about made sense or was consistent with the symptoms I was describing) and the dispatcher couldn't care less that I was dissatisfied or that they'd destroyed my dishwasher. She wanted that $115. Ok, she got it. But I would never consult this business again and I urge ANYONE to use ANYONE ELSE. You will end up worse that you started, and $115 poorer. This company's attempt at service was an abysmal failure.
