Mimi was able to accommodate me, get me an appointment, and took great care of me/my nails. They came out BEAUTIFUL! She was so sweet and kind. I know a good person when I see one! She was also gentle with the drill (I got acrylic full set). The color I got is bubble bath by OPI, she did 3 coats (per my request) and I just love it. I can't stop looking at them lol. I'm a pretty basic girl when it comes to my nails (as far as color) so the shape and neatness means everything. Precision goes a LONG way and she NAILED it!!! I've been getting gel manicures for years and have a problem with my nails bending and cracking below the quick. They recommended dip manicure and it lasted 7 weeks without cracking. Okay, I don't type much at this point but still...amazing results. I just never thought to try dip before. I could have gone years more never realizing dip was a better option for me. Today Tai worked very hard to get me the shape I wanted. A pet peeve of mine is when my nails aren't uniformly filed. Gel or dip is going to cover some filing inconsistencies but I feel my nails hold their shape better over time when they're filed uniformly from the start. I had a regular basic mani/pedi which the service was great. cut, filed and cuticle care was great no roughness and left both my hands and feet nicely cleaned up; However, during the service I kept making it clear I did not want gel for i'm not a fan and prefer natural. I understand it is a business and gel is more money but I did not want that polish which ended up leaving the rest of the service a bit awkward. The polish job looked great but after 4 days it began to bubble, crack and one nail had the polish cleanly peel off. ( now I have used DND polish before and have gotten at least 2-3 weeks before i need another service. I'm not rough on my hands, use gloves when cleaning, and my nails are short) Luckily I had a similar polish at home and i was able to fix it. Maybe if I gotten the gels as it was being pushed during the service, they would have taken care of it better, but I definitely can tell it was a product issue for regular nails. I'm so disappointed to say that today I've experienced the worst pedicure of my life. I had a 4:00pm appointment that I booked online. The technician that I had was very young, kept calling me "bro", and was literally playing a video game on his phone while he was giving me a pedicure! I had yellow polish on my toes from the last pedicure I had here. The technician was scrubbing them with a tool and I told him that it was regular polish, not shellac. He said I know, and kept going over them with this metal tool, which was a little painful. Then he cut my toenails with the polish still on, removed the polish, and barely filed my toenails. He tried scrubbing my feet awkwardly, which was very ticklish so he just stopped. Then he took some water out of the foot bath and put it all over my legs and rubbed them down with a scrub and then removed it. I received no lotion, and then he placed hot towels on each of my feet. The technician said that something bit him and went into the back room for a while. When he returned he was playing the game on his phone. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. There were no other customers or employees working when I received my pedicure which was strange because they are usually busy and it was only 4:00. When the nail tech painted my toenails it was very rushed, he barely let the base coat dry and he began applying the polish. I've included pictures so you can see the terrible paint job, my dry feet and yellow nail polish still visible from my last appointment. I also have a rash from the aggressive scrubbing. I let the polish dry under one of the dryers but it was hard to see the details due to dim lighting. When I got out to my car in the sun I was very disappointed. Already frustrated, I asked for someone else. June stepped in... while she was kind and gave a great foot massage, she also did not correct the issue. After realizing neither technician could fix the mistake, I ended up filing it myself. Then came the manicure. An older lady, who was the only person not wearing a mask, began doing my nails. I immediately noticed smudges and polish all over my skin. When I pointed it out, she grabbed the acetone and (supposedly accidentally) squirted it in my face.
