Summary = Misleading pricing, Failed city inspection, Unresponsive communication, No respect for client's time I just finished a project with Deluxe Windows. 10 windows in San Francisco. Took me 5 months to finish. Here is a shortlist of issues I ran into -I was quoted one price. This was revised after the permit, at which I had no way to change vendors. The latter price was higher than other vendors. -When they installed my windows, two had defects and all had missing parts -The first city inspection failed. The inspector was appalled by the mistakes that were made. -This led to 4 more subsequent visits - of which two times they came without the proper equipment or staff -Unresponsive communication throughout - I had to call/email several times to get a response. Of course, the only time they were prompt was to ask for payment. The installers were nice and polite, but overall this has been terrible experience and involved so many wasted hours. Having spoken to other homeowners since, there are much better vendors with better pricing. read more

We went through several bids before deciding on our window installation. Deluxe Window's Yanek was the only one who followed up after 6 months (without the pushy sales talk). Even after acquiring re-quotes from others, DW still had very competitive prices; we are so glad to choose them for their thoroughness, patience, and professionalism. We recently replace seven windows with Deluxe Windows and could not be more pleased with the entire process. After our initial estimate, we made a lot of changes to what we wanted as we learned more and more about our options. Yanek (whom we worked with) was always patient and provided us with all of the information (and pricing) we needed to make our decision. He responded to us quickly via phone or email. When the gentleman came to take the final measurements, he was able to show us exactly how various windows would look in our house (i.e. width/depth of replacement windows vs. the original ones). With his help it was easy to decide on our final order. It took a few months for the windows to be delivered (which Yanek made us aware of - so no surprises for us). The installation team completed everything in one day and they were very professional. Milgard (the company we selected) sent some incorrect hardware, but they told us exactly what the problem was before finishing up, and Yanek has already been in contact with Milgard. Just got back from choosing windows with Deluxe Windows. Paul was really helpful both when he came out to measure and today when we were deciding which type of windows to purchase. He stepped us through all of the different options of brands, types of windows, and what that meant in terms of the different components of a window (seals, locks, glass width, spacers, etc). He helped us compare prices for a variety of of combinations of options and settle on what we wanted to go with. Paul helped us think through the timeline of our remodel and choose the best time to install the windows too. Then he called his boss to negotiate an even better price for us. This is a belated review. I needed to replace my living and dining room windows and Deluxe Windows came to the rescue. I worked with Yanek and set on Amerimax windows. I had my windows installed in less than 4 weeks from the time they were put into production. I had to keep the same style of windows to match the other unit in the HOA. The crew who came out to do the work were very professional and courteous. And apparently they are also fearless when it comes to heights. I am on the 3rd story but they stood on my window ledge and a scaffolding contraption like they were walking on the sidewalk. I definitely recommend this business. read more

overall experience went well. they came to measure our windows, gave us suggestions and options, then we went to the showroom to confirm what we wanted, which was the milgard vinyls and placed the order. installation went well too, service was good. they basically replaced all of our windows and the price was competitive to others. they were missing 2 handles but that might have been due to the manufacturer and we eventually got the parts. i would use them again and would refer them if anyone needed windows replaced. read more

Few weeks ago Deluxwindows replaced all our windows and sliding doors. I couldn't believe how fast and professional they were. The lead prep person was here early on, and everything went smoother than smooth. They left the house in perfect order when the job was done. We are so happy with our new windows. The house is snug and warm for the winter no more rattling windows when the wind blows and no more traffic noise! Everyone wore masks which we really appreciated in a time of covid. One window had a manufacturing defect and needed to be replaced. We worked with Deluxe Windows to replace some old doors and a window. Yanek clearly explained the options, and always responded quickly to all our questions. The work itself was delayed by COVID, but promptly executed by Gary and team once allowed again, with all necessary health-safety precautions. Never again. Deluxe Windows installed a bay window (actually, two bay windows - one initial install and one replacement for that same install) in my house. Both installations leaked in the exact same places. The window manufacturer replaced the first window under warranty stating that doing so would rule out it being a problem with the window itself. As mentioned, the replacement installation with a brand new window leaked in the exact same places. The window manufacturer reviewed the install and said it was due to improper installation. As of the date I am writing this, the window continues to leak and has been doing so since early November of 2017. Interactions with Deluxe Windows were pretty decent and timely up until the problems started to arise. After that, it has been common for me to send numerous emails or leave numerous voice messages before getting a response (sometimes several weeks later). Attention / sense of urgency to the problem by Deluxe Windows has been lax at best (hence the window still leaking over a year later). There are other things I could go into here but I don't want to turn this into a novel. Deluxe Windows has, without question, provided me with the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. I very much wish I had selected a different vendor for this job. read more

I was really refraining myself from putting a bad review but this company has just pushed me over the top to do it. First of, it took over 8 months to get my door replaced. The crew that replaced my door with a Milgard door were very rude. Well I let that go. Then I was so unhappy with the quality of the Milgard door. The door lock does not work smoothly we have to slam the door and hold it in place so it can be locked. The bug screen net broke within 2 months and the bug screen lock does not work. The bug screen does not even roll smoothly. We brought this to the attention of deluxe windows and they said they would order a replacement bug screen. 7 months and no screen showed up. Finally after cancelling several appointments made to repair the door a technician shows up only to tell us that Milgard doors are made like this you have to slam the door and hold it in place for the locking mechanism to work. Seriously!! ?? The bug screen is still not repaired after so many reminders and with regard to the smooth rolling of the bug screen the tech said that's how Milgard screens are made they get jammed in the strip they have on the door and so it won't run smoothly. This is the worst company to do business with because you really don't get any response at all and if you do its just a waste of time. Just save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Yanek and his crew just finished replacing all the doors and windows in our Belmont home, and they did a spectacular job. I was a bit apprehensive, simply because we have so many large doors and windows, but in pretty much every way they exceeded expectations. The french doors and windows were done in about 2 days, and the stucco repair is good. Gary did this and the moldings to a very high level of quality. I was really impressed with the sales process also - Yanek the sales guy was professional, gave us helpful information, and also spotted errors in the quotes given by a couple of other firms. I'd also spotted the errors earlier in my research, so it gave me confidence he knew what he was talking about - he used to be an installer. They also followed up quickly when i had questions and they followup up promptly when i found a defect in the screen door. He gave us a great price too. I had 22 windows installed by Alex 1 year ago which turned out fine but I am giving only 1 star because I had a couple of screens rip and an issue with a window. My husband and I called Alex several times with no response at all. I called Amerimax and they told me I need to go through Deluxe Windows to purchase the new screens, they do not sell directly. Supporting customers after the sale is just as important as the original installation. read more

After searching several sites and not knowing which to call, let me tell you how happy I am that I called Deluxe Windows. From the very first call I knew I made the right choice. Yanek came out to the house and took some measurements and explained everything to me. He answered all my questions and gave me a great quote. Few days later he send technician to take more exact measurements. 13 windows were ordered and in less than 18 days the crew came out to install. His crew did an excellent job! Very friendly, very professional. Gary was there to answer any questions and he is real good about double checking the work before its done. Booked an appointment a week prior to appointment, waited outside my house after working from home and didnt show up. Checked my phone 30 mins later and see I missed a call 30 mins before the appointment asking me to confirm the time. Because I didnt answer, they didnt show up! Shame because good communicators up until then but frustrating I worked from home for this after agreeing a time. --------------------------------------------------------- Edit - two calls later from appointment organizer and owner and understand the business was apologetic and tried to make it up to me. His installers did a great job, paid attention to detail, finished 11 windows in 1 1/2 days, and left no mess. We were shown multiple brands and were told the pros and cons of each brand and didnt really push us into a particular brand.
