I did the stupid thing by avoiding dentists until my late 20's. I found Dr. Backus after a nearly 10 year self-imposed exodus from modern dentistry. He and his small staff set things right in a way I never dreamed possible by way of sedation dentistry. They packed in several years of work in a single morning. Me? All I remember is signing the paperwork. Imagine a stress free dental procedure (multiple fillings, a crown, and a root canal) with zero pain, and is if no time has passed at all. The team here is patient and kind, encouraging me to forego sedation for future minor procedures. They definitely rebuilt my trust in dentists as I have had a few fillings and a crown adjustment while awake Still, it's nice to have the option when catastrophe occurs. Had a crown procedure done today. The doctor made it seem effortless. In and out in no time.

She kept hurting me, like pressing the thing against my tongue. She finally just used her fingers to hold the piece in place. Then after the doctor told me I had "new" cavities, and it wasn't from the root canal I just got from them, I asked the doctor about antibiotics and something for pain, he looked me in my eyes and told me he'd give me something for the pain, which can be excruciating. Fast forward to two days later, I'm at work and my tooth is on 10. I call the next morning @ 7:30 the tell me the doctor will call me back. 12 noon comes, I call them, they have no recollection of me calling, then they put me on hold for 10 minutes then drop me. I call back, they give me some BS excuse saying that they computers went down. Then after an 8 minute wait, then come back and tell me to alternate btw ibuprofen & Tylenol! I'm like "the doctor looked me dead in my eyes and told me, emphatically that they would give me something for pain!" She said the doctor said I should contact my PCP for that. Then why did you tell me you would handle that? I couldn't been called my PCP if that's the case. She wasn't even gone to say anything about the antibiotics I had to tell her I needed that too! Very unprofessional and Will tell everyone I know NOT to go here! Looks nice but they're very unprofessional and really only care about your insurance. They kept saying the 1st time I was there, "you got that good insurance!" I work for Chrysler and definitely will relay the message that this place sucks!!!!

It's very bright and the interior is decorated with all of the dentist's own paintings. Appointments are run extremely efficiently - I've never had an appt start late. The team is very welcoming and kind. I have BCBS/Anthem insurance and they accept it. Tina is my hygienist and she is the sweetest lady. She makes every appointment enjoyable. They also offer a variety of flavors for your cleaning - orange, strawberry, vanilla, and mint. I've never had a choice before - definitely recommend the vanilla. The dentist is very nice and takes good care of you. I've never felt scammed or pressured (as with previous dentists offices). Overall, I'm very happy here and plan to stay as long as I'm in town

Being out of work for 2 years suffering 6 heart episodes,dying once, getting a pacemaker, both shoulders getting replaced, an 18 yr old hernia finally fixed and fighting off diabetes, I AM BROKE. Dr. Attar and his staff are top notch in advanced dentistry including surgery and customer service. I am a real stickler on customer service and I have been consistently impressed. Dr. Attar performed a challenging surgery for me that even an ENT could not do and an oral surgeon wasn't sure about. It was performed in his office with complete confidence rather than in a hospital at less than 25% of the cost. Dr. Attar has all the advanced equipment including a 3D panoramic x-ray scanner. My wife also had implants done by Dr. Attar and has had no issues. I guess he trains other dentists in implant techniques. She is the one who told me to go to Dr. Attar after five years trying to find a solution for the pain through an ENT and an oral surgeon. Don't hesitate going to see Dr. Attar for help.

I went here right before the pandemic started (February 2020) because I needed a new dentist after…read moremine retired and this one got so many good reviews. The first odd part was that the office manager greets you and then takes you to another room to give you a tour and go over a "health history" (including medical conditions, medications, etc). Not sure why an office manager is doing that and not a dental professional like a hygienist or dentist himself; she also acted surprised about the medication I was taking at the time (really should not be judging someone about that). Then she hands me some literature about living your best life, that turns out to be literature written by the scientologist E Ron Hubbard and is a pro-scientology brochure - which, in my opinion, is completely unprofessional (I did some research later and discovered the dentist and his wife/office manager are scientologists which, is fine if they are, but should not be trying to recruit people in a dental setting). The hygienist was nice enough, although my jaw felt sore the next couple of days so she might have been too rough - and, for the record, I go to the dentist twice a year and have no cavities. The dentist came in and barely said two words, just started looking at my mouth and shouting out numbers, etc. Also he was wearing those plastic gloves that you see on food service workers, not medical grade gloves. I was so put off at the end of this appointment that I did not reschedule and decided to never go back. I am not sure where the good reviews are coming from.
