I was hesitant to share something so personal on Yelp. However, I found Demi through Yelp and I wanted to share my experience. I rarely wear makeup. I think brows really frame the face and I didn't like how my eyebrows were becoming sparse with my left one thinning more. I had been curious about permanent makeup, both brows and liner, for years. I browsed online and checked out multiple artists. I read through hundreds of Yelp reviews! I did my homework and had several consults. I loved meeting Demi and she put me at ease. Demi really listened to what I wanted. She could also tell after our meeting and looking at my face what would look best on me. I was impressed by her knowledge and experience. Her salon is small, but spotless. It's located within the Sola Salon building. On the day of the treatment, Demi had booked the entire afternoon for me so she could take her time. She was very methodical. She measured my brows, sketched out an outline and asked for my approval. I started to relax at this point because I was SO nervous having never had any sort of permanent procedure. She suggested and showed me the colors she recommended. My brows were then numbed and she did both microblading and shading. I didn't feel any pain at all. After my brows were completed, Demi did my lash line eyeliner. She drew a sample line first and numbed my eyes. The procedure did not hurt, but it was more uncomfortable because it's so close to my eyeballs. :) Demi finished everything in 3 hours. She went over my after care instructions and sent me home with products to use. She was so sweet and told me to text her with any questions. The results?!! It's been 10 days and I love it! I have to admit that my brows were crazy dark the first few days. My boys were shocked. Haha. I followed Demi's aftercare instructions exactly. There were a few days of itching and flaking, but my brows are now mostly healed, a lighter color and feel good. I will see Demi in a month for a touch up. I have been seeing Demi regularly for facial. She always analyzes my skin first and customizes my treatment. Their nurse practitioner or nurse does medical cosmetic treatments for laser hair removal and laser, Genesis skin treatment. My favorite is the Laser Genesis as it has been really great for my skin and I would recommend it as there's no downtime and discomfort. What it helps me come out with glowing and smooth skin. Permanent makeup is something that needs to be carefully researched - chose unwisely and you are stuck with discolored and unsightly eyeliner/eyebrows/lips until you can correct them. You are not able to hide badly done permanent makeup since your face is the first thing that people see, unlike body tattoos (anyone see the "NO RAGRETS" tattoo?) which you can cover up. With that being said, Demi is the ultimate artist and professional in making and correcting my eyebrows look like they should be. She is personable and sweet and really listens to you about what you want. Her 5 star reviews on yelp speak for itself. My eyebrows were tattooed years ago by someone who didn't pay attention to my natural brows and as a result, the shape was too straight and eventually faded to a dark grey. Demi corrected my eyebrows and gave me a beautiful arch and used corrective ink underneath my brows to look more natural. I've had my eyebrows done 2 years ago through Groupon. The color has faded over time and the shape/look I thought could be improved so I did a search on yelp. Demi had the highest ratings so I made an initial consultation with her. She explained to me the difference between microblading and ombre and gave me her recommendation. 5 stars for customer service! And 3 stars for skills and ink. Demi was willing to give me 2 touchups after the initial procedure, which is really nice. She is also extremely patient with me. However, my brows didn't turn out as nice as i wanted to be. Medium brown now got pinkish hue, and she made the beginning of my right eyebrow has the Sharpie effect: square and straight. I knew that would not look good on me, and i told her from the beginning, but for some reason, she still manage to do that on my right brow. My left brow was better. She drew the brows with pencil before tatooing, perfect. But for some reason, after the procedure, after 10 days, all the skin had peeled off, the brows didn't turn out as she drew. It happened twice. It is hard to tell if she actually tattooed exactly the shaped she drew right after the procedure, because she told me that the ink is kinda runninh out of the place a little as she moved the needles. The 2 brows are not perfectly even, but that's ok to me. I like it turns out to be light color (except for the pinkish hue) and doesn't look like it is over done. BUT the ink is not even. I asked her if I can pay a little extra for the next touchup, she said she would charge me 50% of the initial procedure which was $590. Wow, almost another $300? I know that people has to make business, but almost $900 just for 3D micropigmentation is too much! In short, i am a little above average happy with my brows, but i think it can be enhanced. I am impressed with her service quality, but not so impressed with her hand skill with needles. $300 more for enhancement? I would say NO. Not worth it. read more

Finally I got my eyebrows done by Demi after years of serious thinking. All the girls would know how serious this process can be as it is something on your face and it stays permanent. It is hit or miss. I have always hesitated because of all those horror stories I've heard. But Demi made the experience and process so comfortable and effortless. She would not force me to go with her opinions. Instead, I would dish out what I expected and wanted to happen and was provided with a realistic feedback. The communication is definitely mutually understood and open. Preparation - She was really careful and detail oriented with this part. The whole process actually took longer, about a hour, than the actual procedure. First she would apply the numbing cream on me then drew the desired shape on my eyebrows to ensure the expectation was met. She also explained that the products she uses are all in higher quality and whatever is using on her customers would be tested on herself first. That definitely put my mind at ease. Actual Procedure - The whole process was relatively un-painful and quick, about 20 to 30 minutes. She acted really efficient and I could tell she is well experienced. She would constantly ensure that I felt no pain or more topical anesthesia would be provided. Result - As expected and no surprise, I definitely was satisfied with the result. She would keep on reminding me the importance of putting on Vaseline to protect the eyebrows from getting wet and infected. She wanted me to go back for retouch at no cost. To her the customer's satisfaction is way more important than making it as just a business. =). She definitely knows her stuff and she really is passionate about what she can provide and offer to her customers.
