They were always available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with our electricians whenever something came up. Because they knew our system inside and out, they were able to jump in quickly and help keep the project on track. Having that history with our home made a huge difference, and their professionalism and responsiveness took a lot of stress out of what was otherwise a complicated project -- all without having to break the bank. They are extremely fair with their pricing. It's one thing to do a good installation, but it's another to still be supporting your customers more than a decade later. That kind of long-term service is hard to find these days, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything Alan and Solar Wholesale Group have done for us. Highly recommend.

I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

Overall the team all seem to be doing their job and the execution is quick but the lack of customer communication is not up to par for a 50k project. It felt like I was the project manager all the time, following up on schedule, and then calling to verify. I had a feeling that the teams are split and everyone only does their job based on a scope and not as a team. Sometimes, I just want the truth on timing.... Bc Everytime I get a timing commitment, it's delayed and or no show and then also no updates. The project is still on-going with skirting, commissioning wasn't even done , painting of pipes/conduits... so will update accordingly. 8/6/26 : the team swiftly came the next day and finished painting and commissioning so I will add a star. 8/12/26: Just had a constructive discussion with Dayne and Savannah -- overall very positive. While my earlier frustrations were real, the conversation helped me better understand the complexities of the contractor side of the business. I also came away feeling that OC Solar genuinely puts care and attention into each project. The project isn't fully complete yet (inspections, skirting, and a few other items remain), but the overall execution moved at lightning speed and exceeded my own expectations. At the end of the day, it's the final result that counts so I will increase it to 5 stars.

I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. Thanks again to the entire Infinity team. 5 Star once again! Dave C

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

Without making this review long and boring, let me just say Eric the owner, Rich the office manager and Zach the lead installer (and the rest of the crew) was great to work with from beginning to end. I was anticipating that there might be some issues adding batteries on to an existing system, with not only the installation itself, but with the approval process from Edison and the city. But Eric, Rich and Zach worked as a great coordinated team to get through any obstacles that came up. Anyone who's been through any type of home construction/remodel knows that nothing is perfect. But it's how the people you hired responds to those hiccups to make things perfect, is what counts the most. And I can honestly say NexGen exceeded expectations. In regards to value, Eric is upfront and says they are not the cheapest, but they are certainly not the most expensive either. So when it comes to my peace of mind, I'd gladly pay a little more. Go ahead and give them a call, I certainly will when I want to add even more batteries

I read enough horror stories online about 8 month projects or installers going bankrupt that I needed to make sure my installer will be in business when something goes wrong. Ameco seems to have a good reputation and has been around for 44 years. Plus, our sales agent Rudy was the most responsive and frank of the 6-7 i talked to. Some sales teams tried to strongarm us into a more expensive package with fear mongering or claims of knowing more about the industry. Other companies' (including one i was seriously considering) sales seemed to be sweeping details about the contract under the rug, which gave me a bad vibe. AMECO was not the cheapest, but below average. There were two things that shocked me though, but didn't end up impacting my installation: 1) AMECO is owned by NRG (one of the other companies we were considering, which DID have the lowest price but also some negative reviews) 2) AMECO doesn't actually use its own in house crew as suggested by sales in north bay, but uses contractors. I was a bit pissed about this when I found out since I was specifically looking for installers with in house teams, but the guys they brought in were consistent each time and did a decent job and communicated pretty well with headquarters so I gave them a pass. The installation process: We were assigned a project manager called Ivan. I have to say Ivan was stellar. Prompt in his communications, knew all the details, was on top of my questions before I even asked them, proactively provided updates, chased down issues for me on a moment's notice. He always picked up when I called, always texted back promptly. Every step of the process I felt informed, in control, and understood all the current issues we needed to chase down. Even though the installers weren't in house, he kept a tight leash. The installation itself was blazing fast. I had budgeted 3 months for the signing to installation at least, but they finished it in roughly two including permitting, engineering - maybe because it's not peak season? It was so fast I wasn't even mentally prepared when we cut over to solar power. The installers that came were knowledgeable, good workmanship, showed up a few hours before the inspection and physically walked through every component to ensure it was done right. Passed inspections the first time. I had no complaints. The followup issue: Our system shut down a week after it installed. Our power provider gave us permission to export energy, i turned on the feature in the device and it died. I was freaking out since I wasn't sure who to call or whether Ameco would still care since they'd technically finished the installation. Called Ivan who scheduled to have a tech come out in a couple hours (though it was later rescheduled to the next day). Turned out my system was faulty and had to be replaced by Tesla. Again Ivan communicated expectations clearly to me about how long it'll take for the part to arrive, when the team would come out to install it. Turned out his plan was pretty accurate (off by 1 day since the part didn't arrive on time) and I had a functional system 4 hours after Tesla delivered the replacement part. There was also a billing question I had (because I didn't read the invoice), which they responded pretty promptly and cleared my confusion in 4 hours. Overall, the service I received was great. Every step I knew exactly when the next milestone was, how it was going to be done and what I needed to do. I was never left hanging and I felt Ameco had done its best to ensure my system was installed the right way. Time will tell how the workmanship holds up, but so far so good. Aside from the original dissatisfaction about not having in house teams, there was nothing to complain about. I think if you get a project manager like Ivan on your installation, you'll be in good hands.

I'm currently in the middle of my solar installation process, and while I'm still glad I decided to…read morego solar, the experience getting there has been frustrating. The biggest issue, by far, has been communication, specifically with Stan, who was my main point of contact. He was extremely unreliable and difficult to reach. Texts and calls weren't just delayed, they were ignored for weeks at a time. There was no consistency, no follow-through, and no real accountability. I was given the wrong inspection date, which caused us to miss it while out of town and forced a reschedule delaying the project even further. That mistake alone should have been avoidable. Even more frustrating, after telling me "everything is all set" and that I could reach out anytime, he completely disappeared. I've sent multiple messages about ongoing delays and got no response. At that point, it stops being a communication issue and becomes a breakdown in basic professionalism. The process has taken far longer than expected. I started in December, and as of April, I'm still waiting for everything to be fully cleared even though installation has already happened. I've had to call different numbers just to get basic updates on what's going on or what's missing, which shouldn't be necessary. That said, not everyone on the team has been an issue. Tony, who handled the installation, was excellent, responsive, professional, and quick to address problems when they came up. Jason Anderson was also great to work with during the initial phase and helped get things moving. Bottom line: I'm happy with the decision to go solar, but the communication and project management, especially from Stan, have made the process feel unnecessarily difficult. If those issues were fixed, this would have been a much smoother experience.

Honestly, we can't say enough good things about the whole BYLTup team, or about Dominik in particular. I'm not even sure where to start. For one thing, from start to finish we had to communicate long distance by Zoom, FaceTime, and text because we hadn't moved yet. Nonetheless, we had absolutely no qualms about our project being in good hands because having met Dominik first on Zoom and then IRL when we were out there for a couple of weeks, we knew we could trust him 100%. I mean, the guy knows his stuff, is clearly all about the details, and he's one of those people you sort of feel like you've known forever after just a few minutes. Seriously. He couldn't be more personable or considerate. Just good people. But about our project: It was no small task. Our house is a 1912 Craftsman that--believe it or not--still had the original roof, with various layers that had been added piecemeal over the years as needed. We got a beautiful new roof and a fully permitted 11.51 Kw solar system that'll generate 14,780kWh in year one, all within about 2 weeks once construction started, and the team was so clean you'd never even know they were there. Actually, I take that back: one day when there was considerable dust, soot and debris --which, unfortunately landed in out neighbor's yard after they'd just washed their windows and their car, Dominik went over personally to apologize and offered to take care of any necessary re-cleaning. He totally smoothed out the understandably ruffled feathers. And when our project was done, our place was totally clean. One more thing: We couldn't end this review without giving a shout out to the chief admin angel Erica, who was always personal, professional, and prompt in all our communications. ---Margot and Don C Huge fans of BYLTup!
