He answered any questions or concerns that I had and I did not feel rushed at all. He seems very genuine and took care of my foot problem right then and there. I have another follow up in a few weeks. I definitely recommend this place! It was a very pleasant experience and I was in and out. Thanks Dr. Lee!

I have been a patient of this Dr. Wittenberg for quite some time, and prior to today, I had always…read morefound him pleasant and enjoyed seeing him. Unfortunately, my experience today completely changed my opinion. I have a plantar fibroma on the bottom of my left foot that has grown significantly and is now causing considerable pain while walking and even while sleeping. In the past, I received injections, but they were extremely painful and were no longer providing relief. Because of that, we previously discussed the possibility of surgery. During a previous visit, I was told that an MRI was needed before determining whether the fibroma could be surgically removed. My understanding from that conversation was that the MRI would help determine whether the fibroma was attached to the plantar fascia and whether surgery would be an appropriate option. I was unable to complete the MRI at that time because of financial circumstances. When I was finally ready to move forward, I scheduled it, but I was informed that the order had expired and that I needed to see the doctor again before a new order could be issued. That was the entire purpose of today's appointment. When he asked whether I had completed the MRI, I attempted to explain why I had not. Instead of allowing me to fully explain my circumstances, I felt that he repeatedly talked over me, called me "noncompliant," accused me of making excuses, questioned whether I was a surgical candidate, and ultimately told me that I should find another doctor to treat this problem. What made the interaction even more frustrating was receiving information today that seemed inconsistent with what I had previously been told regarding surgery. Today, he indicated that he does not perform surgery on these types of fibromas, which left me confused because our previous discussions were specifically about obtaining an MRI to determine whether mine could be surgically removed. If surgery was no longer something he was willing or able to perform, I would have appreciated having that explained to me clearly and respectfully. Instead, the conversation focused heavily on labeling me "noncompliant" and accusing me of making excuses. I understand that physicians make recommendations and that treatment plans can change based on medical circumstances. However, patients also have the right to make decisions regarding when they are financially and personally prepared to proceed with non-emergency testing or treatment. I did not continue returning for injections because I had already explained that they were painful and ineffective for me. My intention was to return when I was ready to complete the MRI and seriously pursue surgery--which is exactly what I was attempting to do. What upset me most was the lack of compassion and consideration for my circumstances. I did not feel heard. I felt dismissed and judged rather than treated like a patient who was trying to move forward with her care. I walked into the office expecting a routine follow-up and a renewed MRI order. I walked out feeling humiliated, extremely angry, and in tears after being told that perhaps I should find another physician. That was particularly disappointing because my previous experiences with this doctor had been positive. I never expected to be treated this way. Patients deserve clear and consistent communication about their treatment options, and they deserve to be spoken to respectfully even when a physician disagrees with their decisions or timeline. Unfortunately, I did not feel that I received either during today's appointment, and this experience has changed how I feel about continuing my care with this physician.

After seeing other doctors without getting clear answers, I finally felt like someone understood what was going on. What really impressed me was how quickly he was able to diagnose my condition using an in-office ultrasound. Within minutes, he explained exactly what was causing my pain and outlined a treatment plan that made sense. His knowledge, confidence, and ability to explain everything in a way that's easy to understand gave me complete confidence in my care. The office staff was friendly and professional, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Bregman.

Not a big fan of this doctors business side of things. I was having issues with my left foot for…read moreabout a year or so and was using heal things from amazon. I thought maybe there was something better or I had other issues. So, about 2-3 months ago I found this doctor and gave him a try. As I walked in the back office door, they did some x-rays. The doctor then came in to the room and did an ultrasound. He then said my big toe was short and because the toe next to it was longer, that longer toe was taking all the brunt. This was then causing my issue. I'm not sure why this couldn't be something that was identified as the problem before the tests? So then the doctor stated that I could get custom made orthotics that would possibly solve the problem. I decided to pay cash for them ($500) as I didn't want to wait to see if insurance would pay for them. Several weeks later, I was told they were in. I figured that I'd just pick them up and go. I guess a fitting was required (this might have been said on the phone call). They then did the "fitting" (pretty much just cutting around them so they would fit in my shoes). I've used the ones at CVS before and I've done this "fitting" all by myself. In any event, I was then told that the doctor would like to see me back in 2-3 weeks. I figured no big deal. Then as I was standing at the front desk there was a lady questioning why she was being charged because she wasn't seeing the doctor. After I heard this, I then asked the lady behind the front desk if I would be charged when I came back. She said yes. Interesting. I told her that I would not be coming back and that I'd like the doctor to call me. My assumption is that if I pay $500 that I should get at least one free visit with the doctor to see how things are going with them and not be charged. Never got a call. My take, this may be the general practice with foot people, but I'm not used to having things done before I see the doctor (x-ray) or at least them knowing what's what, beyond my foot hurts. Maybe it's my fault for stepping on the machine, I obviously question myself on that. I'm not used to costs for things like "fittings" (aka scissor trimming) or "check ins" to see if the $500 things are working. I'd say if you go to this doctor, don't have them do anything until you see the doctor and understand the "why" first. And do your own "fitting", it's cheaper. Ohhhh and also, the orthotics didn't work for me. I used them for about 5 weeks or so, following their break in period and my feet still hurt more. I'd go back to the office, but I would probably be charged. I went back to the heal things that I used before and while my feet still have issues, these seem to work much better. Maybe I'll use the orthotics as weapons. So yes, there's that and the two star is because one star seems excessive....
