And for only $20-25, you really can't beat that. I'm excited to come back when they get some new antiques in, but for the time being this place is packed with interesting things. I say packed because it's literally a hodge-podge of cool stuff piled on top of each other into a maze that's almost impossible to get through. That's how you know it's going to be good. Like I mentioned before, the gents there seemed relatively open to negotiation on some of the antique furniture pieces, so don't be too shy to ask. They never called back and water started leaking onto my kitchen floor and into my basement that same day. I called them to try to get it fixed since it started suddenly after they came, and they never called back. Running a new line cost ME another $125 out of pocket. When I went back to the store, they only refunded the original $100 purchase price and refused to reimburse the $125 for the required water line or the money sent to the delivery guy for faulty installation. They repeatedly told me the delivery guy who installed the dishwasher had "scammed other people" and no longer works for them but unfortunately, they would not be refunding me. To make matters worse, they would not even pick up the nonworking dishwasher, leaving me stuck with a broken appliance and additional disposal hassle. Overall, I'm out hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it. Poor accountability & poor customer service. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere for appliances.

It pains me to share the following. My father's riding lawn mower was running rough. I worked on the obvious items. I changed the fuel filter, air filter, spark plug and carburetor. It didn't improve. In the process, I noticed the hood for the spark plug wasn't making a great connection. To solve that problem, I purchased a new coil. Accessing the coil was more work than I wanted to do so I pushed the mower .8 of a mile to Puritas Hardware. I explained the aforementioned. I requested that the mower be repaired while providing them with the new coil with specific instructions to replace the old. Approximately, ten days later I received a phone call. The mower was ready to pick up. I arrived to pick up the mower. The receipt indicated that they reviewed all of my efforts, flushed the fuel system, vented the fuel tank, and cleaned/adjusted the carburetor. The coil had not been replaced but what did I care as long as it was fixed. I didn't make it one block before I turned around to return it. The person running the cash register started the mower and confirmed that it was running rough. He agreed to continue to work in it. I was not able to speak with the mechanic because he was not in. I stressed that I wanted the coil replaced. He replied, "If it was the coil, it wouldn't be running at all," (although my research begs to differ.) I explained, once again, that I wasn't so much concerned with the coil, but the spark plug boot attached to it. He assured me that it would be addressed. I returned a week later. "He's still working on it." But, at two in the afternoon, I was not able to speak with the mechanic because he, again, wasn't in. I asked if the coil had been replaced. "That wouldn't be the problem. Sometimes mowers just run like that." I encourage the reader to re-read that sentence. After five more days without a phone call, I gave up. I walked there, got the mower and pushed it the .8-mile home. They didn't seem to care. It is almost as if they didn't want my money. Lawrence P.S. Bennett Repair fixed the mower in two days. Wrong. The tech spent 10 minutes behind the fridge on the phone with Frigidaire to diagnose then gave me an electronic invoice for $260 labor for a job that takes less than 30 minutes and $247.80 for parts that were $130 in total online for the most expensive OAM parts (they were much cheaper on Amazon, but for the purpose of my discontentment, I'm sharing the most expensive costs I could find at any retailer). Because I decided to decline after questioning the invoice details, I was on the hook for $199 diagnostic fee + $20 restocking fee for the parts. Naturally, I don't want to give them $220 for a 10 minute visit, and I need the repair but don't have time for additional research to find a more honest company at this point, so I will pay them to do the work, but will NEVER refer anyone or use that business again. Read the Yelp reviews and you will find that my experience is not unusual. Correction. The charge was $548 and the technician was there for 10 minutes.
