Wow, I really can't say enough good things about Denney Designs! When we met, Kristen was kind, professional, and very receptive to our needs. I really felt like she was listening, which is exactly what I wanted. I think that every bride has that "one thing" that she's most particular about when it comes to her wedding and reception, and for me it was definitely the flowers. Denney Designs really pulled through, and based on the picture I gave them, designed arrangements that had just the elegance and romance we were hoping for. I used Kristen for my wedding this past August. She was phenomenal. I really cannot say enough good things about her (..but I have to limit because character limit, darn) I was planning a wedding from across the country. She worked to talk most things out over the phone and through email, and we only met up probably twice before the big day. She truly is professional and really knows her art. And trust me...it is flower art! She helped me narrow down what I wanted, and when you are a bride...the flowers can get overwhelming. Talk about your late-night Google and Pinterest searches. She took my suggestions, and then even offered different selections that were within my price range and my style. She was very knowledgeable, and it really just shows through that she loves what she does...It made my "job" of deciding on floral arrangements more fun and less work. A little side note, I just completely trusted her to take my style and make it work...this may not be what every bride wants to do, but it worked for me. She had several options that came up when she went looking for flowers, and I am SO glad I was flexible. There is a flower called Blushing Bride that I never would have known about had she not mentioned it to me.That being said, every suggestion she had and every alteration she thought I might like went through me first...which we also know as brides is very important. I had several last minute switches, and she was so flexible with my wants that I was just so thankful. Another example, I decided last minute that I wanted to have a garland on the arbor that I purchased, and she got it done. Not only that, but it was EXACTLY what I had always pictured in my mind. Kristen Denney of Denney Designs did the bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and centerpieces for our wedding in September. We found her to be super responsive via email and very accommodating to our schedule. She is very knowledgeable about flowers and was able to give two clueless people some direction. She provides a great Excel spreadsheet that lets you see how different changes will adjust the bottom line price, which seemed quite reasonable. We liked that she didn't have a crazy minimum order that you had to meet. The freshness of the flowers was impeccable -- even someone working for the venue commented on how fresh they looked. We had several people comment on how beautiful they were. The only thing we regret is not being able to chat with her more to let her know how stunning we thought the flowers were and how much we appreciated all her hard work. read more

We hired Kristen to do the flowers for our July wedding ceremony and reception. Kristen did a wonderful job and the flowers looked beautiful. I especially loved my bouquet, the centerpieces, and the ceremony flowers. Pros: -Gorgeous flowers at great prices! -In the initial proposal she put together, Kristen gave us low- and high-price options. This flexibility was great because it helped us decide where to splurge and where to hold back. -Kristen is very knowledgeable. She had lots of possibilities in mind and lots of photos to show us. -She also asked about us as a couple and as individuals (e.g., how did we meet, what do we do for work). It was a much-appreciated touch in a week full of vendor meetings. -She put together beautiful ceremony flowers (greenery and flowers to drape over an arch as well as flowers tied to aisle chairs), centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. We got compliments from many people about how beautiful the flowers were. Cons: -Kristen can be tough to get a hold of via email, which can be frustrating. However, when it matters, she comes through. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kristen. The flowers were beautiful! read more

I used Denney Designs for my wedding flowers. Before the wedding, the customer service was excellent. She did a great job of estimating the price so there weren't any surprises when we actually ordered the flowers months later. She was very flexible on my changing some of my flowers between the first meeting and the second meeting. The altar flowers exceeded my wildest expectations. They were stunning. They were spectacular. The table centerpieces were beautiful. My bouquet was absolutely amazing. It was so striking. It had red and orange roses and two different kinds of red orchids in it, along with red rununculus and little gems for sparkle. I couldn't have been more pleased. The cocktail table centerpieces and bathroom flowers were very nice, as was the toss bouquet. I like the fact that she lets you keep all the vases so you can fill your house with flowers after the wedding or give the centerpieces away. I was less pleased with the corsages or boutonnieres. The groom's boutonniere was particularly disappointing. It was supposed to have orchids, but it just had a spray of buds with no actual orchid flowers showing behind the rose. The corsages were very cute, but they were expensive. It's possible my mom got the wrong corsage--one of them was supposed to be quite small, and maybe she got that one. I was too excited to notice the other two, so it's possible they were bigger. The bridesmaids' bouquets were not special. I should have gone for smaller versions of my own bouquet, but I cheaped out. My bad. Finally, I highly recommend getting a bouquet for your flower girl if she's not sprinkling a basket of petals. We got a pomander and it disintegrated before the wedding. The florist warned her to just hold it gently by the handle and not touch the flowers, and, of course, the flower girl was very hard on the pomander (she was old enough to know better, so I let her carry it for the pictures--my mistake). So, I don't think it's the florist's fault, but if I had it to do over again, I would either not have a pomander, or I would give it to the flower girl just seconds before she was to walk down the aisle. Finally, if you get floating candles, ask to buy some extra--4 of mine had the wick go into the wax and they couldn't be re-lit. It sounds like a lot of critique, and there were some areas I would recommend you be very clear on what you want, but I want to reiterate that all the important flowers were wildly beautiful. We were so happy with the centerpieces, altar flowers and bouquet. I loved the way my wedding looked, and 90 % of the decor and beauty of the wedding was due to the striking, gorgeous flowers. Also, Kristen was more than a delight to work with. I knew exactly what to expect, she met me where I wanted her to meet me even though it wasn't convenient for her, and she set everything up perfectly. The prices of the flowers were very reasonable, and she helped me stay right within my budget. I am so glad that I met her and was able to hire Denney Designs for my wedding flowers.
