The guy that did the welding was continuously looking at his watch, undoubtedly not wanting to be at work. It took him 4 tries of lowering the car, cranking it, hearing the noise, and raising it back up to weld on it further just to leave it unfinished since it was 'closing' time (2pm). He pulled the car around front and acted like nothing was wrong, but then casually mentioned that I needed more piping and more labor cost to complete the job since my older piping was worn out. Not True. I have pictures to prove it. |When I checked later, there were 2 welding rods stuck on the weld, a gap between the pipes, and a gaping hole on top of the original pipe about an inch in diameter.| So, I walk inside to speak with manager Stephanie. I asked her why it wasn't finished and she gave me the same BS as the inept 'welder' and told me to come back Monday morning (when I have to work). She had a horrible attitude huffing and puffing and knocking things around at the register. She charged me over ~ $84 dollars in labor and ~$12 for the new piping used. There was NO apology, there was NO discount, and there was NO reason she could give me for not finishing the job; the job that the welder said would take an extra 15 mins. Why would you allow a job go unfinished and still charge the customer an outrageous fee for doing NOTHING but making my exhaust worse? Why would you be trying to rush out the door with a job half-assed finished? Why would you have such an attitude with the customer after making them wait 4hrs? How would you have the gall to charged extra for fixing a problem you created? How could you have such a terrible business ethic and still be open for business? I don't understand. They did install the muffler though...crooked. All in all, I had a horrible experience and will NEVER go back. PLEASE BEWARE, you could be next.

When we were heading back to the coast, we needed to add more oil so we went ahead and checked the fluids. After checking the fluids, when we cranked the car, the car threw an overheating error. We saw there was a local Firestone, so we went there for help. We have history with other Firestone's and decided to try to stop at this one in the Pearl/Flowood. We were quickly greeted but the service men kept suggesting expensive parts that may or may not be the problem (we have a mechanic with us but no tools or equipment). We thought a coolant flush might be warranted in case air was introduced while we were checking fluids. However, we were told that the technician, (I believe his name was Jeremy), said he wants to not work on the vehicle because of an electric water pump being on it. They told us, on a Weekday at 4:30 in the evening to go to a dealership... after we told them we had nowhere to go and home is three hours away. Aside from the fact they were capable of the repairs and turned us away because we told them we couldn't afford to buy part after part plus the diagnostics cost and a flush. They also didn't offer to give us a card or anything- for a tow company, a local dealership that could help us, or anything else valuable or helpful. They basically told us "no thanks, good luck" without using those words. Do not go here if you need help. They will put you back on the road in a bind just like they did us. I've never been treated like this at a shop. Unbelievable.

My 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid…read morebroke down halfway between Jackson and Mound Bayou, and when no one else was able to offer to take a look at my car that same day, the staff at this Car Care Clinic offered to see what was wrong, so I had my car towed to them. At first, we thought it was a transmission issue because the car would not accelerate at all and was making a very loud grinding noise. This location does not do transmission work, but they kindly offered to confirm what sort of repair I might need. This, by itself, was a huge help, since every transmission repair shop in town was weeks behind in their work. Luckily, it ended up not being a transmission issue, but a broken axel that was spinning and scraping against the wheel without actually rotating it. Once we knew what the problem was, the staff offered to get my wife and I back on the road within a day, which was incredibly kind, since we were in the middle of a long road trip and did not have time to spare. Drew was not certified to work on hybrids, and doing so was very dangerous, but rather than turning down the job, he spent a great deal of time researching how to disconnect my car's battery, so he could repair it safely. While Drew was working on my car, Phil and Bri were very kind, friendly, and responsive, and kept me informed as to the car's progress and recommended places for me to get something to eat. Bri always answered the phone quickly and cheerfully when I called to ask about the progress. After the car was fixed and we were back on the road, Phil followed-up several times with us to make sure everything was okay and that we made it to our end destination safely, several days later. This was by far the most satisfying experience I have ever had with a car repair shop and its staff, and I highly recommend that anyone experiencing car trouble in Mississippi consider coming to this location.
