Very friendly people but can be more expensive than the dealership on some things. I've had decent experiences with oil changes here. My boyfriend has also used them without issue and I'm mostly basing the stars in this review on past experience rather than the most recent, not so great one. My alternator went out, so I called them and they squeezed me in despite being really busy. I took it in on a Thursday morning around 11am. Never got a text or anything so the following day, in the afternoon, I called them and they confirmed it was the alternator. They told me they could order a replacement and it would be there by Tuesday and they could have it installed by Wednesday. I got a call Monday evening letting me know they hadn't even ordered the alternator yet. So knowing it would probably be another week before I got my car back, I explored other options. Dennis George said it would be around $729 to get a replacement alternator. I called Toyota and they told me a replacement alternator would be about $370...So I just paid Dennis George $65 for the inspection(Never got pictures or anything just a verbal "Yeah it's the alternator.") and took my car to the dealership instead. After labor, the dealership had me out the door for $530. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough! My van broke down in the middle of a roadtrip and I had it towed to Dennis George's midday on a Tuesday. By Wednesday morning (in less than 24hrs) they had it back up and running and I was on my way. Dennis even gave me a ride to my hotel when I arrived. I went in for a repair for a vehicle I had bought locally, Jeff was straight up and totally honest with me . I wish I had taken the truck to him before I bought it from what turns out to be the most dishonest and lying person I've meet in a long time . Jeff told me it was a money pit and would never be a reliable vehicle. And it would cost far more money to fix it than it was worth, he then went on to recommend a couple of salvage yards that would buy it and he also recommended a used car dealer that he thought highly of . We've been taking our vehicles to Dennis George for decades. With a dozen cars over the years (we have a lot of drivers), they've had ample opportunity to make a mistake or inflate an invoice. They haven't done it once! Instead, they never recommend doing frivolous work, always let us know of something they caught while fixing something else, and do the work quickly, completely, and within or below estimate. read more

If you've read my other reviews, you'll realize I'm very particular about my cars. The only time somebody else gets to work on them is when I'm not competent enough to do it myself (so anything beyond normal maintenance). I was debating my options when I found a pinhole on the driver's side CV boot of my 07 Accord. I could bring it to a big city dealer or indie shop, but it would be a hassle to be without a car that far away. Or I could just bring it to this place 2 blocks from my house and walk home. After consulting with other picky car nuts in town, I thought the second option would do just fine. When I went in, I asked them a bunch of questions: Can I supply my own parts? - No, we don't take customer supplied parts. Where do you get your parts from? - Lancaster Honda delivers them to us (or whatever AV dealer would service your car). How much would it cost? - We need to inspect it first, to validate your complaint. I prefer this attitude, shows they care about their name and reputation. [After inspection] Should I replace the axle too? - No,if it's not making noise, keep the factory axle in there, they are good quality parts. All of those just gave me the impression that they're probably going to do a decent job, and they're not trying to decimate my bank account. So, I left it for them in the morning, in the drop-off box on their door before their opened. By the time I came home from work, they were done, as promised. The bill came out to less than they had originally estimated due to the Honda dealer charging them less for parts. The work looked good - no greasy seats, floor mats or steering wheel to be found. And the work was obviously done carefully - 20,000 miles later, the original axle hasn't made a noise yet. They are not cheap nor particularly expensive, and I would still ask them a few questions if I have to use them again, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

On 9-9-15 at about 2 pm I took my 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara to them to have a new rear tailpipe with silencer that installed I had purchased online. The manager, John, took it in immediately and I had an estimate for about $95.00 for (1 hour of flat rate) to be completed the same day. I was given a ride home. John called about an hour or so later and said the front brake pads were completely gone and asked did I want them to be replaced and have the rotors resurfaced. I said OK. I had put the last front pads on myself several year ago. He had the car done by about 10 am the next morning. ALWAYS great service! I've been taking this car to them since 2001 for smog tests and other work. About a year ago they replaced both front axle/CV joint assemblies and boots. After the parts arrived i took the car in at the appointed day & time. I even loaned them my factory Suzuki shop service manual. Later that day, Dennis caught an error of a missing seal and I got my car back properly repaired the next morning. Great job! read more
