I purchased a leggings from this dealership... I could have purchased from a bigger manufacturer but I thought, why not help out a smaller business. I received them promptly but they were tight so I shipped them back for an exchange. I received a phone call today telling me there were no tags. I distinctly remember putting the tags in the bag so I'm not sure if it somehow fell out or they're lying about it not having a tag. they are going to charge me 25%. That means $32 for a missing tag would be deducted from my return. For a tag. Beware of this place!! They are not forgiving and do not work well with exchanges/returns. I have read bad reviews for Dennis Kirk, but that has never been the case for me. I have gotten products at the right price that I could not find anywhere else for my Harley Deuce. I ordered Dunlop American Elites, they came in 3 days with a date code showing they were made 2 months prior. I just ordered and received Bel Ray products and received them in 3 days, bagged and boxed correctly, no leaks no problems. My front wheel arrived from China before my back one arrives. It came with two dents. Because lock down was happening and shops were closed I couldn't fit my wheels so took two month to be able to see that damage and when I emailed them they said it was passed the warranty. Then I sent photos and videos and they said they couldn't see it. I was also emailing China probably because she couldn't even speak English properly. This place is by far the worst place to do business with I have ever seen. I ordered a crank pin kit from them for $125.00. The bearing that came with it wasnt the right one. I have no idea how this happened since it was a kit. Anyway I called them to see if they could just send a different bearing instead of sending the whole kit. They said no I have to send everything back, so I did. Two weeks go by and a package shows up with the same kit that I sent back to them. They said the part were used and that I was trying to pull something on them. Needless to say they clipped me for $125.00. I have ordered quite a few parts from them in the past but never again. I have an old school bike: carburetor, air cooled, parallel twin. I wanted to throw on a new set of pipes - something a little louder as a means of avoiding unpleasant encounters with distracted drivers. Ok, so maybe I liked the looks of the pipes I wanted - and perhaps even the racket they make. The problem was finding the item I wanted. Well...Dennis Kirk was mentioned in a motorcycle forum I frequent. I dialed up their website and voila they had the part. And had it on sale: $110 cheaper than list ($450). I was a little uneasy about buying exhaust pipes online but the shipping was free and very, very fast - the same day! I went for it. The pipes arrived quickly, well packed and intact. I posted a couple of questions and DK responded quickly. Everything was done in a very friendly and efficient way. I typically use bikebandit.com but they are slow to process orders, even gaskets. Ordered a helmet and paid for it. Received it a week later. Opened the box and found they had shipped the wrong size. On the invoice it appears that someone had scratched out the size I had ordered. Returned the helmet. Upon checking 3 days after they received the returned item, "customer service" advised that they had issued a refund as the helmet was no longer available. I absolutely do not recommend buying anything from this company. I ordered a pair of snow bibs and they were way to large. I tried them on once and put them right back in the box and sent them back. About a week later I receive a call telling me the bibs were stained and didn't have tags and I would not be receiving a refund. This is total BULLSHIT. I never wore them outside of my bedroom and never took the tags off. They either mixed up my return or someone at that company needed a new set of bibs at my expense. Don't order from Dennis Kirk! Wife ordered a sissy bar for Father's Day as a gift and just prior to a trip. On Father's Day I opened the box to find the box inside was already torn apart. Apparently this was a used and returned item. The screws were tossed in the box, the paint was all scratched and there was no way they didn't know this prior to sending it to me. The box even still had the shipping label and date from two months prior when it was first returned!! Upset about this, I wrote and called to the customer service dept. I spoke with a LeAnne who said the best they could do was not charge me for return shipping WTH!! And no idea when they could replace the bar. I recently purchased NEW handle bars for my NEW bike. I received the bars on time however, the packaging process was unbelievably inadequate and allowed the bars to be dinged. When I contacted Sara at Dennis Kirk she told me "we have had issues with shipping handlebars in the past." Apparently repeating the same experiment over and over again expecting different results is acceptable for this company. I am now having to ship back the bars and wait for my refund. To add insult to injury the box the item was shipped in is unusable so I guess I will have to spend MORE MONEY on getting them back to them or just do what they did...throw them in the box and hope for the best. read more

I ordered a windshield for my Harley, paid for it on my credit card , received a confirmation number, and was told that the part would be delivered in a few days. Turns out that the charge went through on my card, yet they said they were having problems verifying the card. They canceled my order. I called them on the phone twice to try and resolve the issue. They kept telling me that I had to pay with Pay Pal. Second time I called they hung up on me. They did not even attempt to call me back even though they had my phone number.First and last time I tried purchasing from this organization. I suggest to everyone out there to only deal with reputable companies that have been in business for many years. Preferably brick and mortar stores, with face to face customer service that us consumers deserve. Sadly I'm still waiting for a credit to be applied on my credit card. I learned my lesson. Do not order from Dennis Kirk! They have no regard for customers. I placed a large order in December for my husband's motorcycle. Six Performance Machine parts. Once the derby cover arrived, separately, I held on to it for a Valentine's Day gift for him. It came with nothing but the cover and the screws, no casket or document of what should be in the package. Turns out it was the wrong one. Valentine's was within their 90-day return window. We returned it for exchange for the right one. However, they are accusing us of mounting it and trying to return it. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!!! It wasn't the right one that goes with the other parts. Corey saw that as soon as he took it out of the package! There was no need to mount it!!! We immediately figured out the one that was needed! Hence the return for exchange for the right one. They are saying it shows signs of being mounted. The cover had no marks on it when we took it out of the package nor when we returned it! If it is damaged now, they did it. The derby cover never left the house,was never in the garage, NEVER MOUNTED ON THE BIKE!!! They refuse to exchange it and will accept it back and refund 50% of the costs. Not acceptable. We have no reason to lie or try to cheat Dennis Kirk. We asked them to return it to us. Unfortunately, now I expect to get a damaged derby cover returned. It was not damaged when we sent it in. I have a VTX1300. I wanted something to make my stock bike noticeable, heard. I was tired of riding around sounding like a moped. After browsing several different pipes, slip ons and many different brands. I decided on the Cobra 1179SC. They arrived today. I was going to plan time this weekend to get them on, but I couldn't wait. I tore open the box and busted out then wrenches. Took about an hour. Instructions could be better, but common sense will get you by. Started her up, they are a little louder then stock at idle. Then I let her rip. And man was I surprised, I am very happy. If you buy something from Dennis Kirk, and it gets lost in shipping, be aware that you have to be your own advocate to find the product. We ordered motorcycle parts that came in 2 separate boxes. We received one box that showed it was delivered at 11:35 am. The 2nd box showed it was delivered at 10:53 am, which is the one that was missing. We called Dennis Kirk customer service and spoke to Sandy Boener and her response was that they are not responsible if stolen off the porch. That was completely irrelevant to the situation as it was never delivered. She was of zero help and assistance except for starting a claim with the post office. The claim was denied, and as far as Sandy was concerned, the case was closed. I called my local post office and their GPS tracking could see that they did not deliver the box to me when they said they did. We spoke to our actual carrier and he also said he did not deliver the package to me. I called Sandy back to give her the phone number for the post office and she said it's not their protocol to call the post office and all she could do was appeal the case. The appeal was also denied, which then as far as Sandy Boener was concerned, case closed. She was very defensive and nasty....not customer friendly at all, especially when I had all the information for her proving I did not receive my package. All she cared about was what USPS website said, even though it hadn't been updated. I had to start my own claim with the post office, and after several days and persistent phone calls, the package was finally found and delivered. Bought a seat for a 2014 Yamaha Bolt. Took my 7yo for a ride around the block. 10minutes (mounted on the bike for maybe 2 hours) Rear portion of the seat repeatedly popped out from the latch. Tried several times to get it to latch but tongue not assembled right as it scratched the hell out of the rear fender and because of the front bolt location vs. the "tongue" for the backseat portion it would need to slide forward to be secured at the front, and this prevented the "tongue" to be secured, so it would pop off each time. Sent back as defective. Was charged a 30% restocking fee for a defective seat. Managed to talk them down to 20% as even I do not charge more than 10-15% for returning equipment I sell, and this was a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. My advice to anyone considering buying form these folks, DON'T. Just stunning to be charged a large restocking fee for a defective product that also caused damage to the rear fender of the bike. Ordered a set of very specific brake rotors for a project I'm doing on my bike. Called I spoke to a young lady who was helpful but was quite obvious that she didn't know much about motorcycles. I explained exactly what I needed and she seem to understand pretty well what I was looking for but I had a slight feeling that I was going to get the wrong parts and sure enough I did. Call customer service right away which is very time-consuming because the customer service representatives know nothing about Motorcycle so I have to be transferred back-and-forth between the tech people, who are rude and are very quick to tell you what their job does and doesn't include like adding notes your account for future shipping. Long story short this company is extremely disorganized, and quite confused about how to operate a business efficiently. Once I receive the correct parts I swear I will never use this company again. I hope this will save somebody the aggravation and time that I've spent. I would like to also point out that I wrote a polite email explaining my situation , And they didn't even respond.
