Love this spot. This corner of the world is always open, always well lit, and welcoming. Staff is hardworking and attentive. Sometimes the AC is on too chilly, but besides that this places always hits and never misses. Still affordable.

Service was great, amazing food and drinks. Waitress very nice and made sure everything go well.

We were seated almost immediately upon arrival. If you have some time to kill, there is a claw machine located near the host stand if you're willing to try your luck. We ordered the Brisk-It-All melt, Philly cheesesteak omelette, pancakes and fries. Brisk-It-All melt: slow-smoked brisket burnt ends, crispy diced bacon, two eggs, aged white cheddar, Diner Q sauce and pickles on grilled artisan bread Philly cheesesteak omelette: three-egg omelette with grilled prime rib, fire-roasted bell peppers & onions, sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese This location is conveniently located next to Motel 6 Midtown, so although Denny's wasn't my first choice, I have to say that I enjoyed the food. Our waiter (I believe his name was Jordan?) was very attentive and it was the best service we received at a sit-down restaurant in Texas so far. The other staff members we encountered were also great!

Back then, Austin needed a bakery so badly that easy tiger was a standout savior. Fresh bread (still great today!) and pastries were so welcome. At some point after Covid, quality started slipping. Pastries weren't changing. The croissants were soft with no crunch. The chicken schnitzel which is used to be thin had turn into a thick blob basically a giant chicken nugget. The pretzels I always loved tasted stale like they baked them and left them sitting under heat lamps for hours. Sandwiches tasted noticeably worse. Still, we continued to come here. And then they were sold in the last year. New owners and what's the first thing they do? Fix issues? No that would be hard. They raised prices. A LOT. Coffees cost more than anywhere else in the area. Lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids meal hits $90 with zero leftovers. Every time I come here I feel so squeezed and it's never worth it. So this is it. After 7 years I'm through. The place has so much potential but whatever is happening here I cannot support. There are far better bakeries (looking at you sugarwolf) and far better coffee places (literally dozens). Here is to hoping for a turnaround.

Not soggy like some burgers get when you're eating on the go. The beef? Oh my God -- seasoned and cooked just right. Juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh and crisp, and the bun held everything together without turning into a mushy mess. And those fries? Seasoned to perfection and still crispy when I got back to work. If you're in the area and craving a solid, satisfying meal, definitely give Chili's on I-35 (East Side) a try. She had the baby back ribs, a favorite of hers, and said they were wonderful, as was her loaded Mac and cheese. I went for the 5-piece Chicken "Crispers" and was served a huge pile of fresh crispy fried chicken. The fries were also very good and well-seasoned. I'm not a fan of Mac and cheese, so I substituted broccoli and got a generous serving of perfectly steamed florets. The sides were so good that I ended up taking more than half of the chicken home. Some tenders don't hold up too well when they're not fresh and hot, but these were delicious later that day--and even cold the next morning. Service was great and attentive. Payment got confusing. We made partial payment with a gift card, but the bill still seemed high to me. I looked at the receipt later, and it looked like a 25% tip was automatically added. I'm not sure on that--maybe my friend is just a generous tipper. I mention it mostly to note that some restaurants seem to be getting pushier on tipping policies.

The bar is appointed well enough, and while the bartenders are a bit sloppy in their mixology and prep (rim salter filled while still wet = clumpy salt; juices everywhere), they were friendly enough and got the orders right. The food was promptly served. I ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer (the only thing I thought would be a small enough quantity and cheap at $5). I also ordered the chimichurri steak tacos. You get three of those in the typical three slot holder, decent portions. The chips were good. The salsa looks like it was heavy on tomatillos instead of tomatoes, but had good flavor and acceptable spice. The tacos. They were flavorful. But the flavors were overpowered by the quantity of SALT. I could hear Gordon Ramsay in my head shouting "This is so salty it would kill a horse!". I LOVE salty savory things, but it pushed my limits - yes I ate them anyway, in part because I was hungry and tired. I think part of the problem was they used a dusting of parmesan to add a touch to the presentation, and it did elevate the tacos, but when you prep a dish like this you have to remember that salt is additive. The steak strips are salted. The chimichurri has salt. Parmesan is one of the saltier cheeses. Accidentally over-salt the steaks and you're quickly in trouble. Oh, the atmosphere? An industrial hipster bar wanna-be in a hotel lobby. OK as far as hotel bars, but not one I'd go out of my way to visit.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
