In the past 3 years Chehalis Dennys is absolutely terrible!!! The evening manager/Waitress brought silverware she said she had to hand was, anything that took her to work at,she was out of or had no help. Over 40 minutes to get our ice teas, silverware, another 20 minutes to receive a sandwiches and fries! No milkshakes..didn't have enough time and Very short handed. Had a late breakfast here today. I got the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and wheat toast. It's was nice and hot and tasty. She got the eggs Benedict and liked it. It had ham on it and not Canadian bacon. She liked it though and her hashbrowns were nice and crispy. The waiter was really nice and attentive. rude server. first off my silverware was dirty. but she never showed up to my table for me to ask for new ones. she didn't offer to go boxes, only got me one to go cup after asking for 2 (and acting like i was stupid for asking for one) when i didn't get whipped cream on either of my drinks (whipped cream in the picture) she brought me a cup of whipped cream with a spoon instead of making a new one. i also asked to have my drink with extra chocolate (mocha) and it was extremely bitter and burnt coffee. she was dressed extremely unprofessional as well. low rise sweat pants with her undies hanging out. if she didn't understand or disagreed with a comment she would give our table a "are u stupid" look. the service was overall extremely slow, and there was one other customer. the one star is for the building being pretty, the service needs to be replaced! read more

We sat down lady didn't give us our drinks for about an hour then with another hour went by and we hadn't received our food. We had to continually keep telling her that we didn't have our food, and she kept giving me an excuses that it was The's fault not hers and that she had a 14 people in the other part of the business that she was waiting on and we were just gonna have to wait. Want gross food and bad service, stop on by. Along with your meal you can get entertainment. Your waiter doesn't wash their hands. Picks their nose, handles cash, prepares food, clears table and then brings you your food. The food comes extremely greasy. Or should I say drenched. So have a restroom reservation and be within a 2-3 mile distance after consuming your meal. Enjoy dirty dishes and silverware. They come half washed with food residue. My friend had their Nachos, I had the Cobb Salad. Her corn chips were crisp and topped with hot "ooy gooy" melted cheese and a spicy beef mixture. My lettuce was cold and crisp, tomatoes red and sweet, and my (Turkey) bacon just crisp and well done! I love having my dressing on the side! Honey Mustard, yum! Our food was everything you could want and more! The staff, friendly and professional, as always. Ordered chicken ceasar salad: chicken and bacon were burnt. But I was hungry after walking all day during my trip. Just had to cut the burnt chicken parts out. It wasn't too bad that I had to send it back; also didn't want to have to wait again. As long as I don't get food poisoning, it's all good. Only two were working the tables; and they looked busy on a Tuesday night so a little bit of waiting was expected. The one who took my order was prompt; and checked in with me to make sure everything was ok e.g. to refill my water. If you're looking for the diner experience with tasty food and friendly waiters, DO NOT come to this Denny's. Only been here twice, but the food was utter garbage, and I got overcharged both times. The scrambled eggs tasted like melted plastic for some reason, there was vegetable oil sprayed on my toast instead of the real butter they say they'll give you, the coffee was full of grounds and my cup and silverware were dirty. The others in my group had similar complaints, all of which were rudely dismissed by the waiter and the cashier. I paid (somehow) more than full price for my breakfast, and obviously didn't leave much of a tip. Side note: if you want a better breakfast, check out the Jack In The Box across the street. I will never go to this Denny's again. Twice we have gone and waited for way too long for our food. One time we had waited for well over an hour. We kept waiting and waiting thinking it should be about done and we have already waited this long it shouldn't take much longer. And it kept taking longer and longer.... Came to have Sunday brunch. Service was extremely slow. Waiting 20 min for a refill on coffee and my daughters lemonade. The manager at this location has no regard for fellow employees or customers. I observed her sitting at the end of the restaurant, chatting with some ladies, while the waitress and bus boy worked. There were about 8 tables with patrons in this location. I waited for our bill and to pay for too long. When she saw me look her direction, likely knowing what I was thinking, got up to help. She asked if everything was ok I said yes, however I have been waiting to pay. She went on to say, "well I'm on a break!" I said, "you're the manager, right?" She said, "yes but I was on my break." I reminded her that managers don't take a break. I'm not sure what is worse...the food or the customer service. After eating here multiple times, giving them the benefit of the doubt and my budget constraints made it somewhat necessary. The last straw was when I called in an order, waited 15 minutes before I went to pick it up (it should be ready, right?). Then I sat at the counter, the waitress passed me no less than 6 times never once acknowledging with a "I'll be right there" or "I'm sorry we're really busy, I'll be with you". Nothing. After I waited another 10 minutes, I decided to go. So a few weeks later, I decided to give them yet another chance (it had been long enough, I wasn't made at the horrid customer service), then I was ignored once again for 5 minutes, then I was confronted quite rudely about leaving my order that day. It wasn't until she told me that "Management isn't happy". Well, Management had no problem taking my money all of those lunch's, snacks, etc. Do yourself a favor and eat at Kit Carson or the Rib Eye. I sat at the counter. I ordered a sirloin steak, medium rare. For some reason, the sirloin steak just HIT THE SPOT! I had sautee'd zuchinni on the side it was wonderful! I also had mac and cheese as a side, it was ok......... The bread served appeared to be a toasted garlic hoagie bun, which wasn't bad, but wasn't what I expected. But the sirloin hit the spot! And, as others have reported, staff were extremely nice. I got the feeling some of the staff were trying hard to be nice, even if they were personally not having a great day, but bottom line is staff were very nice. Also, it appears restaurant software has gotten more sophisticated. Remember how you had to manually add the tip, but your receipt would still show the amount without the tip, yet somehow it all worked out on the credit card? Well, it appears now they can produce a receipt that shows your tip, the amount you chose, as a line item! This restaurant is within walking distance of a few hotels on this street. As for parking an RV, well, depends on how busy it is. If not busy, could get an RV in. read more

I like a "home style meal". And when I don't want to cook this is a great restaurant. I am familiar with the crew and I like that they don't rush me out the door. Tonight, Saturday 11. 14.2015, I had the T bone steak with zucchini, mashed potatoes, broccoli and fried shrimp. The meal was perfection. It was a 12 Oz steak. Super impressed. Great team work here. The dish washer was bussing tables noticed someone walk in seated them and took their drink order. The waitress was the only one working with more tables than she should of had. She handled it. The cook was on top of his orders and the dishwasher was more than willing to lend a hand outside of his station. They worked well together no bickering. It was a well oiled machine. So I have a lot to say about this restaurant. We decided to got there since many places were close on thanksgiving day. They told us right away that the way time for the food was 30 minutes and we agreed to wait. However, we actually waited over 1 HOUR for our food and the worse thing is that the food was very COLD. The service was not good at all. Also, the restrooms were absolutely disgusting which made our experience worse. My family and I would not be going back to this restaurant again. read more

This place is honestly the worst Denny's I've ever been to in my life. Definitely not returning. I had to wait 5 minutes to be seated and there was no one even in the store. Once seated I wasn't asked for what to drink until 20 minutes after being seated when they took my food order. I had to repeat my order at least 3 times before she understood I even pointed to the item on the menu and she was so confused as to what I wanted. I had to wait another 30 minutes for my food and it came out cold. I asked for no mushroom which I still got with my meal. It was super annoying having to pick them out. In the menu it said "add 2 eggs for $2.69" when I checked out (took 5 minutes for them to ring me up after walking passed at least 5 times) I was charged $2.69 per egg. While I was at my table I finished my water and no one came to see if I needed a refill which I needed because of how terrible the food was. The waitress also never checked up and asked me how the food was or I would have said something so I could hopefully get some hot and fresh food and that is made right. When leaving they had now hiring signs on the doors and I can see why because this crew that was working was not good at all. Management needs to do something here for the sake of customers or it's sad to say but this location will plummet down. My wife and I came here for a late brunch on a Wednesday at noon. While reviews have been mixed, we think the service and food is really good. We each had a "make your own Slam" with bacon, hash browns, eggs over medium and their new fluffy pancakes. All was done to perfection and served by friendly staff without any attitude in a very clean environment. $8.99 each for what we had is a relative bargain these days, when a lot of places charge $12-13 for the same thing. When I walked in the waitress was playing hostess. She told me there would be a 30 minute wait for food. Since I have work to do I figured it wouldn't be an issue. It took well over 50 minutes to get my food and 20 minutes to get my drink. There was only one lady working the side of the restaurant I was on and I believe she was also helping with the other side, on top of playing hostess. I ordered a burger and soup and specifically asked for NO onions. When I got my burger there were onions on it. As I was taking the onions off I found a medal shaving (from the grill cleaner brush). The waitress took my burger back, told me she would get one re made. Finally after taking my burger back, i got my soup.
