My experience at Denny's number 7753 was the worst experience I've had in a restaurant in a decade. The restaurant was filthy, the food, including the appetizer, took nearly an hour to reach the table, and we were only informed of the missing items that would not be on our order as it was coming to the table. The waitress clearly has no concept of how to serve, and the food we received was mediocre at best. We had to ask for the rest of your order after the majority of it reached the table, and the chicken Alfredo was clearly just hunks of chicken with queso poured on top. In addition, we had chosen to go on a kids eat free night. Rather than the kids eating free, we were charged the full amount and given cash back instead. The cashback did not cover the sales tax I was charged, and I had to explain to the people behind the counter what portions should have been taken off, as there had been items missing from our order. Frankly, we would've chosen a different place to eat on being charged the full amount alone, as I wasn't prepared for that charge on my account. Advertising a promotion of free or discounted meals and instead providing cashback is dishonest and misleading. However, with that said, had we known the state of the restaurant or the state of the food, it wouldn't have been worth any deal to eat there. Zero stars. Don't waste or time or money. read more

Convenient location for my breakfast this morning. Love the diner feel of the place. Food was over cooked. Had my eggs over hard and there was a skin on the outside that the fork would not penetrate. Group of five, was slow. Waiter was very thorough. I think we kinda messed up his flow. We sat at a booth but it was too small for us and he seated us at a corner booth and it was not cleaned off so he had to clean it and get out drinks, did a lot of running at first. Just seemed a little flustered but he was super nice. I ordered the wild west omelette. Wife had grand slam, youngest appetizer sampler. Food was great. Service seemed again a little flustered. I've never had any issues at this Denny's. The food has always been tasty, hot, and fresh. The staff has always been friendly and on point, and the restaurant has always been clean. Tables get bussed quickly, and patrons get sat just as fast. My husband and I recently went and noticed a lot of things that were off and atypical for our normal experience. The tables were messy, floor was messy, people were standing and waiting for a table despite there been empty tables galore. It took us a while to figure it out, but the restaurant was chronically understaffed. Staffing is depend upon the sales for that day the year prior, and they had only been anticipating about $1,000 in sales. They had two cooks, a manager, a waitress, and bus boy. Despite all of this, everyone was in a great mood. The waitress was hustling keeping everyone up to date on their orders and drinks full. One of the cooks was on the floor helping her, and the manager was helping out the second cook and pitching in wherever else he was needed. The bus boy was out cleaning tables in between helping the cook and the waitress. The team here has definitely earned my admiration, because in a tough time they buckled down and handled business with a smile rather than letting everything fall apart. read more

If I could give this place negative stars it would be -10. When the wait staff is to busy complaining about other staff members to come to your table that's an indication that it's going to be a bumpy ride. When the waitress finally blessed us with her presence let's call her "Flo"she was distracted and not engaging at all. I tried my best to be up beat and engaging. We ordered an app and two entree's. Twenty minutes later I noticed what looked like our order sitting under the heat lamp, I finally asked another staff member if they could bring the plates that I see under the heat lamp her response was I'll find your server. Some ten minutes later our server shows up reeking like cigarettes and asking what we needed. I explained I'm pretty sure that is our order under the heat lamp her response was "Oh let me check" and proceeded to go to another table and take their order. A few minutes later Flo showed up at our table with the plates that were under the heat lamp. I tried to enjoy my plate but couldn't get over the fact it had been setting under the heat lamp for at least twenty minutes. She came back seconds later and asked if everything was ok. My son said you forgot the appetizer Her smart ass response was "No I didn't, you never ordered them" That was it I went to to the cashier asked for check saw it was 19.32 and guess what was on bill, yup the appetizer. I had such a great experience at this Denny's. My boyfriend and I and our friends came here after a bowling double date and we're hungry so we decided to stop by here for an 11pm dinner (ha). All of the servers were so friendly, accommodating, and sweet! I even felt bad because we were our server's last table of the night but she did not rush us at all and always gave us a smile. The manager at this Denny's needs to reevaluate some of the waitresses. First our waitress said she wasnt feeling well. First rule of food service. If you think your sick, don't handle food. So we we're passed off to another waitress. It took 20 min since ordering to see our new waitress. When food came, guess what, my burger had caramelized onions which I specifically said no onions. Our server literally never refilled our drinks. Within minutes of finishing our food, he takes our plates, then walks by and loudly says "Yepppp. Once this table is gone I can go home. All my other tables are all clean. Just this last one." Then takes every tiny scrap of trash off our table and starts to wipe it down while we are still there. He literally rushed us out and never offered us more drinks or dessert or anything. Had a great breakfast here this morning. I had the Grand Slamwich which was delicious with the side of hash browns. It was a little busy, even at 8am, but was still enjoyable. Sat next to some obnoxious people and their loud children, but the establishment isn't responsible for the raising of other peoples' children, or the lack there of. Our waitress Loretta surprised us when she brought our food. I received my sandwich, but my mother got everything but her waffle. The waitress kindly told us that when our food was finished, she didn't like how the waffle looked and said "If I wouldn't cook it in my house, I won't give it to you here." Don't waste your time, service is mediocre at best and very dirty. The floor tile is falling apart and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. When we were seated the table was sticky, we asked the waitress if we could get a rag to wipe it up and it seemed to annoy her. The food was subpar and cold when we finally got it. My favorite Denny's in Columbia ! My favorite to eat is the chicken bacon avocado salad! But I just fell in love with the loaded chicken and potato skillet! Open 24hrs so it's the perfect place for the late night munchies but bring a sweater it can get pretty cold. Only think I would improve on is how long they take bringing the food, also, the blinds and window boards can use a good scrubbing. Other than those few things, I love Denny's! Also, if your taking out, call about 15 mins ahead! They tend to take a few mins. read more

Great service. I actually prefer to cone to this one which is so much further away from where I live. It I'd always clean, service is great, and food is delicious. They have always been great and accommodating until the last three times we were there. All within this last year. Overcharging for substitutions. Not getting things we ordered etc. However today was the last straw. While there having a quick lunch with some friends, once we were done with lunch, we noticed German cockroaches in the dining area. Due to my weak stomach I lost my lunch.
