One of our newest foodie spots in Lexington, great addition to the area. This location seemed a bit small in size compared to other Outback's I've been too. They were very busy on a Saturday midday lunch. You can call ahead to reserve a table if needed. We decided to sit at the bar due to time restraints. The bar tender was very attentive and explained all the specials to us. Ive been to Outback's in the past, but we just wanted a good hearty meal. All I needed was consistency in the food, they indeed passed the test. The food came out fresh, seasoned and hot! Service was fast and on point. I would recommend this location, just be patient. First time going to a Outback Steakhouse. You can call ahead to be on a wait list but they don't take reservations. When we got there on a Saturday for dinner we only had to wait 20 minutes which wasn't bad during Prime time. But we didn't call to be put on the wait list not sure if this helped out or not. They were running a special that included a three-course meal. It included your meal soup or salad and a piece of cheesecake for dessert. They also have a loyalty program that when you first sign up you can get a free appetizer which is the blooming onion a $10.99 value. You just have to give the server your phone number to put it in for you. You also get points for future visits that you can use for discounts. I decided to have the blooming hamburger it was very good and filling it also came with a side you can get. The salad was also good and the cheesecake was delicious. We also tried the blooming onion that was also delicious the dip they serve with it was also very good had a little kick to it. Just the blooming onion was very greasy. They also serve complimentary pumpernickel bread. Our server was Jolene she was very attentive polite and friendly the place was also very clean and tables were cleaned off as soon as people left. Outback Steakhouse in Lexington, South Carolina (Sunset Blvd) really impressed me tonight. I stopped in during the dinner rush right after work and was immediately greeted, seated, and welcomed by my server--all within moments. He got my drink order right away, and I was ready to place my full order, which he took and entered without delay. My salad came out quickly and was spot-on: fresh, crisp lettuce with no onion or tomato just like I requested, and the croutons were perfectly crunchy. The bread was soft, warm, and exactly what you hope for at Outback. My steak arrived cooked to perfection--medium, just like I ordered--and had that signature Outback flavor. The broccoli was fantastic, not overcooked or mushy, just fresh and well-prepared. The shrimp were also a win--definitely better than my last Outback visit elsewhere. What really stood out was the service. My server was on point all night and even offered me a to-go unsweet tea for the road, which I really appreciated. That kind of thoughtful touch speaks volumes. I also noticed great teamwork across the staff--everyone seemed to work in sync, which kept everything running smoothly despite the dinner rush. If I could rate zero stars I would We were seated for more than an hour before our food arrived. Our appetizer arrived more than 30 minutes after it was ordered and was wrong and cold( Ordered petals and got part of a broken up blossom after I requested the order just be canceled). One meal finally came and the rest were more than 15 minutes behind it. There was cheese on a plate of a person that requested no diary on their plate. Hamburger steak that was ordered well done came out pink. Loaded sweet potato had nothing on it. A side that was ordered wasn't available and instead of being offered options the plate came out with green beans which the person couldn't eat. This was not a problem just for our table but for all of the tables within site of us as well. What appeared to be managers (blouses and sweaters) just stood at hostess stand with no effort to correct situation, address customers, etc. They appeared to not notice or not care when we attempted to get their attention. read more

Excellent server. Sorry, I am unable to remember his name. I used the application to be put on the wait list. My spouse had the steak, which she enjoyed. I however, opted for the half rack of ribs with macaroni and cheese. Both of these dishes were overly seasoned with pepper, making it difficult to enjoy. A smallish restaurant with restrooms just outside of the kitchen, causing some collisions by wait staff and patrons. I'm not sure if I will return based upon the over seasoned dishes I ordered. Took 1 hour and 20 mins after being seated just to get our salad. 15 mins later food came out. We were starving and looking forward to some good steak. It was the first time I ever ordered a med rare steak that was so tough I had a hard time cutting it. Usually melts in your mouth. My husband's was no better. Was not a pleasant experience. We came here for my grandma's 76th birthday lunch and were incredibly disappointed. A family member called to make a reservation for our party of 10 several days ago and was told that the reservation had been placed, but upon arriving several minutes before the reserved time, it seemed that the reservation was either forgotten about or ignored. We waited for 30 minutes with no end in sight before asking to just split our group into 2 tables, which ended up being on opposite sides of the restaurant. If a large group reservation wasn't something they were able to accommodate, I wish they would have told us that several days ago so that we could make other arrangements. It took 1 hour for our table of 4 to get our food after being seated. The menus were all gross and filthy somehow despite this place being new (see photo). The steaks were not great. Everyone agreed that the mac & cheese bites were very dry and flavorless. The caesar salad dressing was just really off flavor-wise. The mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, and fries were good, so I guess potatoes are the way to go here. The Outback Boomarita Flight for $10 was really the highlight and the blackberry margarita was a favorite. We asked a woman who appeared to be a manager or supervisor if the staff could sing happy birthday to my grandma, who had wanted to go to Outback for her 76th birthday. At that point, 3 or 4 other tables had already been sung to around us by the staff. She said she would make it happen, but no one ever came. It was incredibly disappointing and truly the final cherry on top of this bad experience that no one ended up singing to her despite not just one, not two, but THREE different party members asking 1) the waitress, 2) the hostess over the phone, 3) the hostess at the front today, and 4) the manager/supervisor for her to be sung to on her birthday. I hope that they are able to improve upon their organization and service quality in the future, but I don't think we will be returning. read more

So the food was pretty good, service was great. I have a major issue with the menu though. The explanation with the entrees and add on are very confusing. I got an entree that didn't come with any sides. So I thought adding on you get the add on price well that wasn't the case and they didn't offer to charge me the add on price instead I had to full price for the wedge salad. Pretty disappointed in the customer service not making this right. I may go back but this has disappointed me. And I work in customer service. read more

Not the first time at Outback in Lexington but definitely a welcome change in service last two visits. We had a very bubbly and personable server Rachael who provided great service. She was our server last visit and luckily the food was on point that time as well as tonight. Honestly wasn't sure we would go back after the last visit as it appeared management was unconcerned about issues with kitchen staff and servers. But we decided to give it another try and are happy we did. Does a server make up for a kitchen mistake no but it really helps depending how it is handled. Will it be great next time- no idea but we will ask for Rachael again. Rachael was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I blame every other Outback for serving meals that at least resembled the photos on their menu. This is supposed to be a reasonably new restaurant location. They took our phone number, and we walked over to Tractor Supply. They called us within 30 minutes. Not bad, we thought. We ordered and waited. After an hour, we inquired about our food and received our meals 23 minutes later. It's not as if we were a large party; there were only four adults. Upon arrival, the Alice Springs chicken served was dry, chewy chicken breasts with a slice of bacon, and no cheese on top. The steakhouse salad--how can you go wrong? The meat was cold and placed in the center, not off to the side. They typically add blue cheese vinaigrette, but it arrived dry. We had to ask for it. The Queensland chicken and pasta were overcooked, the meat was chewy, and she left half her meal. The chimichirri filet was cooked well, but they forgot to bring out the blooming onion bits, but did so after he had eaten half of his meal. Needless to say, we went as guests. I don't think any of us will ever return to this location. Side note: If this were the first time ever eating at an Outback Steakhouse, they would've permanently lost a customer after this experience. read more

My little family and I came here for dinner on a Monday evening around 6pm. It was pretty packed and there was a 45 minute wait, but we didn't mind the wait. We hung out at the long bar top in the bar area. We were actually seated 35 minutes into our wait, which was great. Our server was great. When it comes to the food, it took a long time for it to come to our table. It's okay because it's to be expected on a busy dinner night. At this point, these were all nonissues to us. When our food came to our table, everything came out correctly. My filet mignon with lobster was absolutely perfect! I mean there was a harmony of flavors going on in my mouth when I took that first bite. A+ chef! The loaded potato was not great. In fact, it wasn't hot and didn't appear to be freshly baked based on how the "melted cheese" wasn't melted and the potato texture wasn't fluffy, but chunky. The asparagus was good. My youngest son liked his cheeseburger very much. My oldest son enjoyed his sirloin steak with macaroni and cheese and potatoes. My husband, however, was disappointed upon the arrival of his boned in ribeye (24 oz maybe?). First thing he noticed was how thin the steak was. The next thing he noticed was how there wasn't much of a bone in his steak at all. There was a very small, thin 3 inch sliver of a bone at the top of his steak when he flipped it over. Then, he sliced it and it was well done, after he ordered it to be cooked medium rare. At that moment, I told him to be "that guy" because he was willing to eat it even with the disappointing cut of meat, but when it came out opposite temperature of what he ordered, that was unacceptable. We showed our server and she was genuinely shocked and disappointed too. She brought it back and when the manager gave my husband a new steak, it was a MUCH better piece of meat, with a real good bone in the middle of it and it was a perfect medium rare. Redemption! Everything about our experience was great except my husband's steak. When you go out to a steakhouse to eat steak, you expect a good steak. read more

I gave this Outback a few tries before leaving a review. My advice is find another place to eat. I watched the owner touch your food with her bare hands just to attempt to make the plate pretty. The food was never cooked how I ordered it, always on the cooler side of warm and always lacked taste, no seasoning. Service was bad twice and the third was good. Asked for a table with chairs because I'm plus size, not super big but enough to be uncomfortable in the two person booths, which the hostess put me in. I was not happy with that Server name: Haley - she was super friendly. -Very attentive, even with the other tables she had with more people - I had gotten there right when they opened so as they got busier she got busier while I was eating, which is totally fine and expected. -She was an amazing worker and totally deserves a raise. Drink: (water) -can't go wrong with that. Bread: -Really good wheat bread - comes with regular butter that is soft Appetizer:Bloomin' Onion - The sauce it comes with is adequate, though it tasted better with ranch. That is just my personal opinion obviously. - The onion itself is really good when it's made properly, which they did - it is one of their larger appetizers, so it should really be shared instead of just one person eating it. Meal- 8 oz sirloin with Aussie fries and a ceaser salad w/ ranch. -Salad was fine. A few pieces were brown, but I know for a fact that lettuce prices for restaurants have gone up. They try to salvage as much as they can. - I love their Aussie fries. The season has a kick that I like. - The sirloin was meh. I got it cooked medium. And it had way more char than im used to. And it was a bit chewier than I thought it would be. Ambiance: - The feel of the place was nice. The music is good as well, a few songs weren't exactly appropriate. I can say the steak was cooked perfectly and delicious . It was $14.99 for a steak and salad. It would have been $23 just to add a baked potato. A bag of potatoes cost $3 for 5 pounds. My husband's well done burger came out rare. It was sent back and came back med rare. My potatoe soup was so thick, it was more like mashed potatoes. I ate it with a fork. The blooming onion appetizer came out just before they brought our meals out. There was so much skin on the onion, so much of it was impossible to eat. The parts that were edible, were delicious. Maybe it sat waiting to be delivered to our table, I don't know. Not sure why it would sit. Seems like there were 3 or 4 staff standing at the door most of time waiting to seat people but they could have sped up tge process by delivering the meals to the tables . Generally their food has good taste but tonight my prime-rib sandwich was only average. I have had similar at a local diner for 2/3's the price, and better at a local sub shop but only hot and a shorter wait. Fried chicken was only warm as well and had lost a lot of its crunch. Desert was not good. Ambiance was as usual for an Outback. Very disappointing both times to this new Outback in town. Not the Outback i used to know. After being seated, we sat for about 13 minutes before my wife asked to speak to a manager. We had two times and not even make eye contact well. Several servers were in the scrambling to get cleaned up. Not one person acknowledged us. When we spoke to the manager, his response was he would try to find us a server on the floor that will help us. we are loyal consumers to outback for over 30 years continued to have subpar experiences along the way, but this one is the worst we've encountered. read more

Asked for the check 2 times. She has no idea how to multi task. She can not run the bar by herself, should not be running the bar alone. She wasnt busy with server drinks or other customer's, she was busy socializing and walking in circles getting nohing done. I've honestly never seen anything like it. Everyone was waiting for something. She would walk away to get something and stop to talk or wander off and come back empty handed and you'd have to ask again. She had 3 couples (6 people and a single man) at the bar. That's not BUSY at all. She died not clean the bar when people were done, and didn't clean when they left until other people showed up. God bless her. Since I waitresses and bartender for about 20 year's, I was patient and I still left a $10 tip she didn't earned, but I still left it. I hope y'all don't get super busy. We were there for almost 2 hrs and we took our meals to go. Once again, food was delicious and I felt like it came out in a timely manner, but the managers have to start watching the employees and help them be more efficient. Serving is a multitasking job.
