Went here while traveling. Place is nice with friendly people. I will say however that I have had better doughnuts from Casey's. These are just ok for me. I gave 3 stars because the place was clean and the people were friendly.

Pumpkin quest 2025 continues and I hit a couple local bakeries for their seasonal favorites. Stopped at Denny's Donuts on South Main in Bloomington, Illinois and Got a friendly greeting when I entered the restaurant. Big business is take out but the also have a large seating area to sit and enjoy your treats! It was later in the day and they were out of pumpkin donuts so I had a apple spice doughnut instead. The Apple Spice donuts came three ways: cake, cinniman sugar or carmel. I got the. caramel, and I have to say the apple spice flavor was delicious with just enough spice and caramel not too thick, but added a nice note of sweetness. We'll have to come back for the pumpkin donuts earlier as they generally sell out per the staff. We're definitely recommending Denny's Donuts as this local favorite bakery is definetly the place to stop for donts rolls, cookies this season! Til next time, Kate the Artist

This place is very cozy with good donuts. The place isn't updated but it's what's given it charm. Good donuts. There is a kids play area that my daughter loved. I recommend this place!

I have sampled a few of Denny's bakery products over the years and honestly I have mixed feelings. I do not care for the cakes. We have ordered them for corporate events and I am just not a fan of the frosting. Just be sure you do a tasting before you commit when planning a wedding. The cookies are always great, and overall the donuts are not bad, I am just not blown away. They do have my favorite glazed donut in all of Bloomington- Normal, though. If you are a fan, this one is worth going out of your way for. A little less sweet and more cronut (buttery, flaky) in texture than Krispy Kreme is.

A selection of donuts from Denny's Donuts in Bloomington. Both Banana and Orange donuts fell flat for me.

A huge drink menu welcome us and we…read morehad the Beyond jalapeño cornbread for a starter, which proved to be quite yummy and not hot at all. We decided to go with the rustic pizzas that were delicious and unusual: harmony, Korean, chicken and loaded supreme. The crust tasted like it was from a woodfired oven and the Korean chicken pizza was so unusual and tasty with kimchi and pickled shiitake. The fresh from the forest mushroom side dish they gave us a special treat to us was quite a delicacy. Even the farm to table items they have for sale when you walk in to take home are a treat, Especially the homemade marshmallows! Ended with dessert of a fresh orange olive oil cake with just tremendous flavor and blood orange on the side and orange marmalade on the cake. It served exquisitely with a side of homemade ice cream that was to die for. We can't wait to come back! Our waitress, Lupe, treated us like family and was incredibly personal and warm. Put this on your must visit List.

We started with the sashimi plate. The fish was fresh- including tuna, salmon, shrimp- placed over small celery bites. A variety of sauces were dotted around the plate's edge. The dish would have benefited from some ginger and more sauce. Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.

Got the meat lover's skillet and it was SO GOOD. Flavors were amazing and it was cooked perfectly. I had a hard time deciding between several menu items and I'm so glad I went with this one. I think it's supposed to run thru the month of Nov anyway. A quick first impression food-wise was breakfast-based - essentially bacon and sausage, egg and cheese on a softer English muffin with a (bit too) sweet tomato jam on both muffin halves. It WAS tasty with the tomato jam as the differentiator. I woulda preferred the bacon be turned into bacon jam instead but unique for sure. The accompanying hash browns were buttery and well seasoned but shoulda been left to crisp another minute. Coffee and the atmosphere were perfectly fine as the Mexican fiesta music upon entry was a bit loud and replaced with softer classic rock after 15 mins or so. I'll be back to try the tacos soon.
