Today I had a dinner from Denny's. The price was reasonable and the onion rings were great, but I'm not impressed at all with most of the food tbh. The country fried steak was sad and mushy, the omelette small with not much cheese, and the hash browns were rather tough. It's nowhere near the goodness in Indiana for sure. And I'm not comparing it to Breakfast Clubb-b-b-b-b-bb. I'm comparing it to an IHOP. (And no, the IHOP down here doesn't hit the same either.) The delivery driver also stole my drinks. Two of them. my son selected this place for a quick breakfast fix. since taste bar was a 45 to one hour wait, we drove 10 minutes and completed our meals in less than the waiting time our waitress Britanny (Brit-Anne) was amazing first i thought we were name twins till she hit me with the two N's. my son say this location reminds him of waffle house. (good way) -1 we asked for warm syrup, and i had a bacon missing, which my entire plate had to be presented to the kitchen in order for me to receive that extra strip of bacon which I thought was a bit much but I didn't fuss. This location is the worst. We can here new years eye and there was literally 10 people in the restaurant and the manager said they were NOT taking order because they had to catch up and it was more empty seat and tables than customers. Like what the hell... You are open 24 hours how are you not taking orders. And you are still sitting folks and you are not taking orders! The vibe is super laid back and they've got plenty of TVs everywhere, so it's a solid place to catch a game with a beer. I tried the mushroom swiss burger this time. It was definitely a bit of a grease bomb--more than I usually prefer--but the flavor was still there and the bun held up well. The milkshakes were probably the highlight for me, though. Super thick and actually tasted like real ice cream, not just sugar. It's your typical Denny's experience. I don't usually frequent Denny's, but I took advantage of the free "birthday" slam for my birthday breakfast after scooping my wife up from work. Service was great - I can't remember our server's name but she was as energetic as could be. She definitely made the experience 100% better. The store itself was ok - I like the nostalgic exterior and the inside was your typical Denny's. As far as food- it's Denny's. It's everything I expected. Pancakes we're good, eggs were done right, and the sausage and bacon were ok. I mean what more could you ask for from a free meal? My wife got the same thing, although not free, and she had no complaints. Overall, I probably won't be back until my next free birthday meal but if you're looking for a good Denny's experience you'll definitely find it here! read more

I recently came back here with a friend, and I guess I missed the day my previous server was working, because the service was just alright. We were greeted, sat, and and waited upon, and everything was just alright. We did appreciate the refills of creamers for our coffee, and did enjoy the lively, family friendly ambiance of the building. As for the food, I had ordered an omelette with fruit, which was filling and delightful, but a little on the pricy side for hit or miss service. I felt like I really needed to shine some light to those hard working black women that was serving up orders all last night during the grave yard shift. As a previous graveyard shift worker, I wasn't expecting to see all smiles when I walked in the building, it's 1 in the God damn morning. However, these women were nice, they were direct, and I was in and out with my order with HOT and GOOD food. Exactly how we asked for it and they abided to our special requests (I like my eggs scrambled hard and my hash browns crispy). The restaurant was clean and smelled nice upon entry. I really commend food industry workers who perform despite the time; stuff like this really matters! I believer they deserve some recognition, I never got their names. But they worked last night at night (April 3rd) when I got my order. So Mr./Mrs. Manager! Always a fan of Dennys breakfast, kind of my cheat meal with the kids. We always go to the same location off Southmore. Today we were served by Toni. She could not have been sweeter, with me, the boys, making sure we had everything. My expectation at a Dennys is to take my order, bring my food, and the check- all within 30-45 minutes.
