Our waitress was amazing. The food was excellent and was brought out in a timely manner. I had a omelette and pancakes and it was very good.

Went to Dennys at joplin flying j. The server was nice. I ordered the grand slam and added a side biscuit and gravy. The biscuit and heavy was not only cold, but tuff and couldn't chew it. asked burnt and could the butter wasn't even melting. No sugar in tables. Very disappointed read more

Had a fantastic breakfast at this Denny's this morning. Eva, our waitress was great in that she provided options to our orders that actually saved us $, while getting us what we wanted! Food was developed timely and arrived hot and very tasty...good job in the kitchen! Teamwork was evident in keeping the hot coffee coming. We were told that the new manager has done a super job in creating good work environment that permitted that teamwork. Certainly has paid off! We thoroughly enjoyed the stop. Thanks guys, you helped to start our day on a very positive note! On another note, we almost didn't even stop at this restaurant because of some of the old ratings we saw on Yelp. This place needs new management, we got seated in booth in the back with big holes in them by the kitchen. Who allows this to be even seating then sat there for 15 min never had a waitress come my way. The waitress in there even when there a few people can't keep up. Seriously, how long does it take to get a drink! We sat down and waitress 1 asks us what we want to drink. 5 minutes or longer, waitress 2 comes and asks us what we want and we make sure to put in food order. We wait 5-10 minutes and another lady comes and ask have we been helped. We said yes. Waitress 2 comes back a few minutes later and asks what was it we wanted. A water and strawberry lemonade. Wow! Food takes 15-20 minutes. A caeser salad and bacon avocado burger. Which they forgot to put the bacon on it. I'm giving 2 stars because the food wasn't bad and the lady cashier was nice when we were paying. read more

We stopped into your store at 3602 Rangeline Rd in Joplin, Mo tonight for dinner. The food was great, however the most impressive was our waitress Eva. She performed her duties professionally and always had a smile. She was attentive, kind and joyful. It made us feel comfortable and joyful too. Not only her but the young man that cleared the tables and a man whom we found out was the district manager had wonderful smiles on their faces. They have no idea the stressful things we have been through lately. Yet their being happy and joyful while they worked just lifted us up and made our time there so enjoyable! A couple of weeks ago this Denny's had an air conditioning unit repaired on the roof. In the process the repairmen broke or removed the satellite dish. A simple phone call to the company who broke it would have fixed it, but two weeks later, no one is motivated enough to make the call. We depend on the morning news and weather we get from our Denny's at breakfast and at dinner. Love the wait staff but this is the most poorly managed/owned Denny's anywhere. read more

I hate to review a chain. It's the same across the world, and everyone's been there at least once. So, no differences and no surprises. However. on a road trip with some friends, we discovered one of us had never been to Denny's. Really?!? Who has never been to this greasy 24 hour joint? So, I decided to share our "experience" just in case you've never been either. It was around 11pm on a Sunday night, and we were surprised how busy it was...and definitely surprised at the four tables pushed together bursting with children. Screaming, half dressed, very mobile blonde children. The lady in the fuzzy cookie monster pants and green hair who was KNITTING at the dinner table. The three young men in wife beaters and earrings in 20 degree January weather sitting in the doorway despite plenty of open tables. Anyway, that has nothing to do with the food...but it helped distract me from how awful it was. I ordered the cheeseburger flatbread--my two favorite things in one dish. It was actually pretty tasty despite looking like hell. It would have been nice for them to cook the flatbread first so it's not soggy--it's hard to eat something loaded with hamburger and cheese when the crust is flimsy. We had an assortment of appetizers to pick from. The cheese fries? Fat white crinkly steak fries with a drizzle of cheese and a sprinkle of bacon. Nothing fancy, nothing worth talking about. We also ordered the chips and dip appetizer, which is queso, spinach artichoke dip, and salsa...or WOULD have been, if they weren't out of salsa. How is a restaurant out of something that has about five ingredients and should be made from scratch anyway? I realize why I haven't been to Denny's in about ten years. Stopped in two mornings for breakfast while staying at the Best Western Oasis which is in walking distance. The food was very good overall. Only slight complaint was the second time around, the eggs were a little too over-easy. Like runny & undercooked. I didn't think to bother sending them back. Just roughed it out & did the best with what I got... The service however, both times, was exceptional! The waiters were extremely pleasant & right on their game. Was there on a Saturday & Monday morning. On Monday, my coffee cup was constantly being refilled. Thumbs down on the restroom situation. Although pretty clean, there is only one stall in the ladies room. That is not so good given the size of the establishment. So just beware of that. I was also told that the men's room smelled really bad. I don't know if that was just a one shot deal. I luckily didn't get to experience it myself! I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Especially if you like a big breakfast with lots of variety. Very good :) read more

I've been to this restaurant many times but today I went for my birthday the the wait was too long and when we got our food it was gross like it looked beautiful but it did not taste like it was supposed to the burgers were overdone/burn basically. I had ham and cheese omelette with white toast they gave me my arm went way before my toast was even done 10 out of 10 will not go again this ruined my experience for Denny read more

Food was OK. Very friendly and attentive waitress. Place smells of dirty feet, hits you as soon as you walk in. Waitress said it smells like that when they "clean" the carpets. Smells like it's time for new carpet. Plus, they allow smoking in here between 10pm and 6am, which I am sure attributes somewhat to the odor, since there is no separate ventilation for the smoking area. Great for smokers but sux for those of us who don't smoke. Unless you are a smoker, if your looking for a late night/early morning meal drive about a half mile north to IHOP or try the waffle house next door. 2 stars mainly for the waitress. read more

I have to say this is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. We get there takes 5 mi Utes before anybody came to desk to even realize we were there. Got my daughter an apple juice and the lady disappeared before even getting our drink order. So I wondered around trying to find A1 because I knew I was ordering steak. Checked bottle after bottle they are all watered down. Yes every bottle the cut with water. By the time the lady came back to table to get our drink order we knew what we wanted to eat. She wrote our order on her hand (wtf) guess that should have been red flag. So we go ahead and order the lady brings out our food and I tried a piece of my steak. Holy shit; it was the toughest piece of meat I've ever had. They didn't bring it out on regular style Denny plates they put it on 2 little plates. So my steak was suppose to be medium it was very well done. I had a hard time cutting it; so I thought it was just me being a dick because been driving non stop since LA. So I had my wife try it. She agreed was terrible so I tried the mashed potatoes. So much butter and fake potato mix I couldn't eat them literally hated The potatoes. Cheap/fake potatoes. So I also ordered 2 eggs sunny side up. Took a bite and almost puked. My eggs weren't cooked all the way. It was that clear slimy snotty goop all over my eggs. So the Sprite and the toast were the best part of my dinner. They forgot my daughters bacon and when they remembered it they burnt 1 of the 2 so had to remake it. How do you mess up microwave bacon... Well this group of employees figured out how. Asked for the check and the waitress wanted to know if we wanted a box for all our untouched food. Uh no thanks, couldn't eat it here I doubt it would get better with age sitting in my truck. So anyway felt bad in a way but was also pissed at the time so I didn't leave a tip. This place needs a boss to come in and redo employees and regulations. I have never been a big Denny's fan. Used to go there for late night coffee, breakfast, even dates when I was a teen and college student. But then I kinda forgot about Denny's until recently. It's actually a little better than I remembered. They have some new menu offerings and better pricing, I would assume the prices have been lowered to fight competition in the economic downturn. Anyway it's worth another shot in my opinion. Their bacon & avocado breakfast burrito (served with hash browns) easily makes 2 meals (to share or take some home) and it's only $4.99. It has become a new favorite. I also like Denny's no nonsense wait staff. Basic service with a smile and refills keep coming. That's what I like (and tip accordingly). This Denny's and the new Denny's at Flying J truckstop (southeast Joplin near the interstate) both offer good breakfast and diner food without any of the inherent creepiness you get at places like Waffle House, and lower prices than Ihop. read more

This was one of the best places to go to ten years ago. Now don't even bother. Staffing problems and an arrogant head cook-was angry about something the night we went and if you couldn't tell by the cussing and slamming pans you could sure as heck tell by the crappy food. Yes, crappy. Our server changed during the cooking process after there were words exchanged in the kitchen and she ran past our table on her phone to the parking lot-and other staff members went outside and they were all arguing. Drama bomb!! I had ordered a T-bone steak, which tasted like bologna and had no seasoning-and was severely undercooked. A shame. Looked decent. Veggies were burnt and raw (how is that possible? Flash fried on the flat top...) and the fries were soggy and tasted old. Will I be back? Not to eat, but the live soap opera was mildly entertaining lol. Terrible waste of my night out and money.
