My eggs and hash browns arrived exactly as requested - over medium eggs, extra butter for the toast, and perfect white toast. The presentation was spot-on, vibrant and appetizing and arranged beautifully on the plate. The restaurant was spotless, tables well-spaced, and everything felt organized and welcoming. Service was impressively quick yet never rushed; our server was friendly, attentive, and got every detail of our order right without needing to write anything down. My fiance and I wanted to have a cutesy and semi-intimate gender reveal, and we both love a Denny's milkshake so we decided where better to go! Biggest problem I have with this place right now is they only have one waitress for this whole restaurant. 12 tables with people at them and one waitress? Does that make any sense? I ordered the crêpe breakfast with two crêpes, two eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage, along with a four dollar cup of coffee. For another dollar I could've gotten a Starbucks great tasting coffee, this coffee is terrible! It took longer to order than I would've liked, but there was only one waitress that I saw waiting on tables and taking order. After we ordered , they brought the food pretty promptly, but the coffee was lukewarm and we had to order more coffee that was actually hot.. They made another pot and brought it to us. The lip of my coffee mug also had a chip in it which is unacceptable also, nice place for germs to hide. I'm being very picky, because I'm never coming back here again. I tried a couple bites of the crêpes, they were thin as paper and just as tough, I might as well have been eating paper. The rest of the food was fine nothing spectacular. Of course it's Denny's. I did tell them that the crêpes were unacceptable and since they charge about nine dollars for two crêpes, I expected them to remove at least that from our check which they ended up doing, but I had to make a serious protest in order for that to happen. Everything was so terrible that I did not even leave a tip, but my main tip would be get a cook that can cook crêpes properly or just shut the whole place down. I don't recommend eating here. And I certainly won't ever again. It makes all Denny restaurants look bad. read more

NOT EMPRESSED!! I've never ate at this Denny's before, and its been years since I've ate at any Denny's. From what I remember the food was much better. It was 1pm I ordered a single cheeseburger with wavy fries, nothing wavy about the fries. Fries were over cooked dark. The burger very juicy (grease) I don't know. Our food seemed like it took 30 minutes to come out. Being that it was Christmas day, and I didn't get sick, I'll give them a star. On a regular day I'll be passing on Denny's. read more

Not sure why we went back to this Dennys. Dennys off La Canada is the worse. We were seated quickly but sat 8 minutes before the waitress came and asked about coffee and water. At $3.95 a cup you would think they would want to make some money. Our food took 15 minutes to get to us once ordered while people that came in long after us got theirs at the same time or before us with the same and different waiter. Our food was like warm, and we all know what happens when you complain about an order. The ambiance is a typical Dennys. At least the place was clean for a change. My husband and I went for breakfast and it was just awful! Very small portions, very high prices. My omelette was gross too much over cooked sausage, vegetables were not sauté but raw. Hash browns were just mush, toast was stale and hard with gross margarine squeezed on . My husband's chicken fried steak was tiny with a spoonful of canned sausage gravy. The waitress slammed our plates in front of us and pointed to a half empty container of jelly's saying there your jelly. Went in for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by how service has improved. The server was so incredibly attentive and friendly, in spite of handling all tables on her own. Even though she had no help, none of her tables had to wait for food, refills , or checking with all tables if we needed anything. So friendly and cheerful. It was such a pleasant experience we went back a few days later. Again a very positive experience. This time I asked the name of the server who helped us this time, Rosalinda. She went above and beyond. We would like to congratulate for turning things around. It is apparent that things are running a lot more efficiently and customers are happy. Went in at 11:10pm and was refused service because they say they close at midnight. The guy working the the front of the resturant was extremely rude and very unfriendly. Karmen's level of customer service is always above and beyond, attention to detail is consistent and I can actually feel that she cares. I have been going here for a long time. It was an ok place to go. Slow at times but pretty great customer service. However when I went there a few hours ago (may 23rd 9:32pm - 11:59pm). We waited a decent amount of time for seating for 13 people and 4 people at 2 separate tables. When we were seated we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. We waited about 40 minutes for just waters. We then proceeded to wait another 15 to minutes for the "first batch" of food. Most of the people were with already finished their food by the time the waiter came back to see why some of weren't eating. 6 people in our group of 2 tables didn't get their food. We ordered simple meals with some drinks. Our sodas didn't come out until an hour into the dinner. We had gotten 1/2 of the shakes we ordered another 15 minutes after getting the sodas. The waiter then retook our 6 missing orders to get us our food. Even with the orders being taken for the second time the our food didn't come out. Only 1/2 orders were correct that was ordered a second time. The others were other peoples orders that were not ordered by us (and there wasn't many people there). The 1 of the 3 correct orders was uncooked chicken. He ended up sick in the bathroom for the rest of our dinner after that. We never got the rest of the food we ordered. When they finally gave us our checks we were able to leave after 2 and half hours. When we were paying they kept offering discounts to people who didn't have mistakes with their orders but tried to get the people who had mistakes with their orders no discounts. The boy with us who was throwing up in their bathroom only got a $10 discount on his meal. We had to pay for missing items we never got. I had checked on everyone who had gone with us when getting home and another boy ended up sick from the food. So far only 2 out of the 14 are throwing up from the food served. I was not there when checking out due to having to run home but I later tried to call twice to complain of the sicknesses from uncooked food they wouldn't pick up. Even when checking out my friends who were paying tried to complain but the staff wouldn't let them and even had to try to charge them multiple times. I would NOT recommend going to this denny's at all. This one experience has left all of us feeling a little sick (some clearly more than others) and turned off by these chain of events it's safe to say this will not be the favorite dinner place for my friends and I anymore. We will not be returning. *please note there was a language barrier as well. We had 2 Spanish speakers with us helping up order everything to make it easier for the waiters. However they still didn't understand. Wow, and not in good way. The place was packed, and after we were seated and had ordered we realized they had 2 servers. The restaurant was OVERWHELMED and had no manager on site. Our food was cold when served. We were so hungry we didn't say anything but this was THE WORST Meal we have ever had at any Dennys. I was really impressed with the service. My mom and I wanted to have some breakfast before she had to get ready for work. It was one of the very rare occasions where we woke up late and had a weekend morning free so we didn't realize the time when we had gotten there. We saw that it was pretty packed but decided to stay anyway because we figured it probably would've taken longer to go somewhere else and we didn't have much time, plus, we were super hungry. We went in and were quickly seated by Monseratte (which is such an iconic name, by the way if you watch Spanish soap operas). She was super understanding when we asked if it was going to be too busy, which wouldn't have been a problem. Again, we woke up late and didn't manage our time better. We could have just gotten fast food, no biggie. But what we were impressed by how fast they tended to us. We had barely sat down when our server, Nancy, took our drink order. Mind you, we got there just past noon, on a Sunday, and got our food like just a few minutes later. We saw Nancy just flying through everyone with a smile on her face and everything was just so smooth and efficient and the busyness didn't affect the quality of the food at all. I only mention Monseratte and Nancy because they were the only ones we really interacted with but as someone in the food industry myself, they had a very good team working today. My mom and I were out of there in, quite literally, 37 minutes. I know because I just had to check the time. For it to have been noon on a Sunday and be served good food that fast, I felt compelled to time our stay. The whole crew working today definitely deserves props for how they managed a busy lunch rush. I know it can get overwhelming sometimes where it's just non stop and there will be hiccups along the way but they really did a wonderful job today and should probably give pointers to other restaurants on how to handle situations like that because, AGAIN, how did we get out of there in less than 45 minutes at noon on a very busy Sunday? All in all, everything was fantastic. Monseratte was a gem, Nancy was a queen and the rest of the crew working today were absolute icons. This dennys is horrible. I was with a decent sized party and we were there when it was pretty empty. Everyone that walked in got their food drinks and menus very quickly. My daughter and her friends had to ask for menus to eventually get some. We waited around an hour just to get some drinks. So the waiter comes up to this one person and takes her order and leaves completely ignoring us, this person is my daughter's friends. She gets her drinks and food before we even get to order drinks because her mom is there with her. Not sitting next to her just there. Then I finally asked when we can order, the waitress tells us she can get our orders in a minute. Then she turns around and walks to the other side of the restaurant . It took almost 3 hours just for us to get drinks and another 2 hours for the food. eventually we all left and went somewhere else with better service than this place . 1 star absolutely do not recommend. :( read more

I stopped in this Denny's for a quick lunch and ordered the Fried Chicken Tenders Cobb Salad, but I had them hold the chopped boiled eggs. The salad came with the chicken tenders chopped, sliced avocados, shredded cheddar cheese, some potato strings, grape tomatoes, and crispy bacon all served on a bed of Spring mix lettuce. I asked for my blue cheese dressing to be served on the side. The best thing on the salad was no doubt the fried chicken strips. They were nicely breaded, crunchy, and tasted very good. The chicken breast inside was tender and flavorful . The bacon and avocado slices were the next best items on the salad with the bacon being crispy and tasty and the avocado being smooth and creamy. The crispy potato skins were a nice touch a gave the salad a small starch element and some crunchy texture. Both the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh and the cheese just the right amount for this salad. The blue cheese dressing was good and even came with pieces of blue cheese. I ordered an ice tea for my beverage which was okay, perhaps a little water down, but I could not get a refill fill, so I took it upon my self to approach the counter to request one. So I just went to dennys in lakeside wow talk about the worst customer service I have had i my life like hands down this lady takes the cake. I ask told her what I wanted then realized I could just make it a grand slam, but the crazy thing happened the minute I asked her to make it a grand slam to make it cheaper and save money all the sudden she no longer spoke English. So then I asked for my receipt but she would follow back saying butter I had to have asked her at least five times for my receipt but no she just continued to act half stupid like she didn't know English. Which I could tell was obviously a scam. She didn't give me my receipt because she didn't even ring up my order so she could pocket my cash 30 something plus dollar grand slam which was debatably one of the worst meals I've ordered in a long time. So I called the store when I got home and the same lady from earlier answered the phone I asked for the manager and responded she in the bathroom, I said I'll wait and she hung up on me I called back 9 times and she wouldn't answer the phone.
