Garbage location - wife donated blood and got free regular sub gift cards. Came to this location to cash them in and they stated they won't take the cards. Mind you the cards say good at ALL San Diego locations. Workers said the owner won't take them and they refused to give us owners info so we could just confirm they don't take the cards. Every time I've gone over the last year a trainee is making the sandwiches and every time they drench the sandwich when you get it Mikes way. What I like about their Turkey provolone sandwich is that it hits the spot but doesn't fill you up to the point that you get sleepy or lazy. Comes with turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and if you get it mikes way they add olive oil, red wine vinegar or something similar to it, salt, pepper and oregano or Italian herbs. So I had to deal with the suck ass app. Sorry I end up ordering a chicken cheese steak instead of a regular cheesesteak, not only that but I got extra meat. So I got it and being from Philly. I got so frustrated on the phone with them that I end up spilling one of the other hoagies onto the floor so we got one hoagie for 50 bucks. A few days ago when I called in my order for pickup, a very friendly young man answered my call; I learned his name is Jordan. I had a few questions and he answered them with kindness and patience. It was clear Jordan was extremely knowledgable about what his store offered and in fact, made a suggestion based upon what I was looking for in relationship to portion. I took his advice and between quality and portion size it was perfect!!! When I arrived to pick up my order it was Jordan who greeted me at the counter. I hadn't seen his name badge yet but I could tell by his happy and bright disposition and the way he smiled with his eyes...this was clearly the young man Id spoken to on the phone. When I gave him my name he greeted me like someone would greet a friend. Jordan reminded me to put in my phone number and reminded me I had points to use. Jordan was professional and had a spirit of excellence about him from the phone call until we completed the transaction at the store. I was very pleased with my experience and with Jordan!!! This outlet of Jersey Mike's ought to be like its 1700 sister shops, but it's not. It's a franchise, which means that its employees are trained, scheduled and paid exactly like those at the chain's other stores, and the food and supplies they sell all come from the same sources. And every franchise's workers wear the same uniforms, work amid the same Jersey Shore-inspired wall art, prepare their food on the same grills and cutting boards and participate in the same charity work. There shouldn't be anything different about this Lake Murray Blvd. sub shop, but there is. This one consistently gets my order right. I'm always served ingredients a touch fresher than those at other Jersey Mike's, and the sandwiches I buy here always seem to have been more carefully assembled that those I purchase elsewhere. That's all nice, but also, and more remarkably, for as long as the shop's been open, its employees have seemed genuinely happy to be there, appearing to value both their jobs and my business. I'll grant that this may not be the case, that these folks may just be good actors, but I don't think so, unless franchise owners Ray Ibrahim and Nabil Somo have discovered a secret source from which to hire people who possess limitless energy for deceiving customers into believing that they're welcome. Well Done Jersey Mike's on my Philly Steak Sandwich on wheat. It was not the best, but it was good. The best part was no doubt the combination of the tender and juicy thin steak mixed with the melted American white cheese, not to mention the addition of the grilled onions and green peppers. It was a tasty sandwich but the wheat bread was dry on the edges. I wish they would warm up the bread over the hot skillet or pass through oven to soft up that bread some. Service was keen and the young ladies behind the counter were a hoot. The manager had a good sense of humor and new the ins and out of the sandwich shop well. I am always at this jersey mikes it's near my house, and my company has order over 2,000$ worth of food. AMAZING FOOD. Warning don't go after 8. There are some sweet people, but I sometimes get rejected for hot sandwiches. I am either told to wait 20-30 minutes (until they are closed, so I can get told no.) Friday I got told they don't do hot subs anymore. Which I went in yesterday and asked if they did them still and the blonde hair girl said yes and was confused, and happily made my sandwich. Everytime time I go in a dark haired girl, maybe Mexican or middle eastern Denys me a hot sub. I started going to the jersey mikes off Jackson later at night so I can get a hot sub. I love this place and have been coming here at least once a week ever since they have opened. I have been ordering the same sandwich over and over. Today was a totally different experience, to a certain extent a total turn off. I was schooled on how I have been ordering my sandwich. I was told, very rudely that the way I order my sandwich is wrong and I cannot keep ordering that way because it is not allowed..... not sure what to make of it. I have been ordering a #9 without turkey as I like the roast beef combination with the bacon and swiss. This has never been an issue until today. The same attendant that schooled me on how it is wrong and it can no longer be done, asked the cashier to charge me for a #6 and charge me for bacon instead of charging me a #9. To which I attested and he then became hostile and aggressive with his words. I then asked to speak with the manager who came and listened to me but sided with his employee instead of deescalating the situation. Needless to say that loyalty and consistent visits to support a franchisee business is no longer seen as value added by the employees of this business. Clearly the employees there have no concept of customer service which is unfortunate. I would have never thought to give this location a rating of 2 stars given I have been going there for years. I feel like the lack of customer service with many places is going out the window. I love Jersey mikes for is always great, typically right when you walk in people greet you. I went here about 7:45pm wasn't greeted until I walked up. The young lady was not pleasant at all, more like I was a bother that she had to make sandwiches. I bought two giant sandwiches. When I walk in and the first thing I smell is what could accurately be described as "unflushed toilets on game night and the entire gang is over".... well I am out the door!!! Filthy floor drains? Employee with gastrointestinal distress? I dunno but if you can smell it, then its in the air and on everything exposed to the air. Whether its nasty bacterial organic gases from floor drains or airborne fecal particulates compliments of "clogged it, didn't flush" guy, end result is the same....a disgusting environment for food preparation let alone consumption. The sandwiches are great, but service for large orders is a joke. This is the second time my office has ordered 15 sandwiches and has been screwed up. The first time we thought was a fluke because of a new girl taking orders over the phone. Explaining the order to her took way too long and even when she asked another coworker for help they let her struggle. Second order was also a disaster. Called an hour and 15 minutes beforehand to place the order so everything would be done. 2 sandwiches were missing when picked up, but when my coworker came back for them they knew exactly what she was there for and threw them in the bag. I prefer this location to the the one closer to my house because the service is better and they make everything faster. We usually come here for sandwiches before going to the movies because my son eats a lot more now and he gets tired of the food they offer at the theater. He seems to be a fan of this place because he loves the bread especially. I still think it's weird they don't have a variety of cheese but whatever, no one wants my opinion. I go where my kid goes. He's a great fan of the Italian sandwich and is somehow able to eat the giant size. I also don't like the shredded lettuce, it's just not my thing, if you're gonna offer lettuce, offer whole pieces, not that sure to wilt and get stuck between your teeth shredded crap, it's lazy and cheap. Is this a joke?? This is the first or second time I ordered from this location. I love Jersey mikes and usually go in person (to a different location) but this time (Wednesday Feb 17) I got delivery from the Lake Murray Blvd one. It was like a joke when I opened my sandwich and started eating it. As soon as I bit into the sandwich there was a big chunk of hair wrapped around one of the meat slices which seemed completely unsanitary. Also, one of the "slices of meat" was just the outer skin of the roast beef. To top off this experience, the bacon was cooked differently: some where very crisp and the others flimsy. I am not sure why the sandwich was such horrible quality especially for the cost. I was unable to view my sandwich being made because I got delivery so who knows what goes on. read more

I like their sandwiches and prices are ok but service here is iffy. Also went to pay with a 50 dollar bill and wasn't allowed to because they "didn't have change". That's hard to belive, I was there 15 minutes ago about 10 am on Saturday morning, either the guy lied to my face or the management does a poor job of making sure there drawer is good. If they don't like taking 50s or hundreds they should have some sort of obvious signage stating that, instead of making up excuses.
